A 24 hour front desk, room service, and outdoor furniture are some of the conveniences offered at this small hotel. An on-site restaurant will also help to make your stay even more special. We are a family who loves to do road trips, and Siriohotel is exactly the sort of hotel we hope to discover on our trips. It's a clean, comfortable and unpretentious hotel that delivers everything you need at a very reasonable price. For those coming by road, it has easy access to the autostrada and is less than 45 minutes easy drive from Milan Malpensa airport. It also has good free onsite parking, which is somewhat of a rarity in other towns along Lake Maggiore. It's on a main road, but we didn't find that to be a problem. We usually take our dog with us (but sadly since the recent death of our faithful hound, we're 'between dogs') and were very happy to see another review that reported that dogs were welcome in the hotel. Dogs were also welcome in the restaurant, so a big thumbs up for being dog friendly. For those coming by public transport, the hotel is literally next door to Dormelletto railway station (a rather pleasing, inconspicuous yellow building). However, the fact that it took me two days to realise that it was a railway station should reassure you that this is not as intrusive as it might sound. From here, you explore Lake Maggiore region on public transport, notable the ferry which departs from the neighbouring town of Arona. An unexpected bonus is the quality of the food. A continental style breakfast is included in the room rate and generous and tasty, with lots of choice. The evening menu is excellent and varied, featuring options that you often don't see on tourist menus and is competitively priced (5 euros for a very substantial primi piatti of pasta or risotto and 7 euros for a second course of meat or fish). We stayed in early November when fellow tourists were thin on the ground, and were encouraged to see how many local people came to the restaurant to eat. A final word on the staff. They were delightful and couldn't have been more helpful, including printing out Passenger Locator Forms. As long as you temper your expectations and realise that this hotel is not a holiday resort right on the lake shore, you can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

The room (we had No 106) was modern & very clean, the location great, the parking helpful. Thanks to Tripadvisor we had great dinners in restaurants, all within walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel was certainly Corona-conditioned so reduced: There was toast, ham, cheese and egg per personal allocation. We were there for 1 week - it was the same every day. This could be optimised. We could not use the sauna because of the special opening hours. Unfortunately, our beautiful holiday was spoiled afterwards: We always keep our things in a locked suitcase in hotels when we are not in the room during the day. This was also the case here the whole week. Exception: the day after we went shopping. We hung exactly 4 items in the room so they wouldn't crease. Everything else was in the suitcase or in the car. One of the clothes we bought, for which we have a receipt, did not arrive at home and could only have stayed in the hotel. In whatever way. What a pity. Maybe it will turn up...

La Cucchetta Bed & Breakfast, located in Dormelletto, near Arona, on Lake Maggiore, surrounded by the greenery of Parco dei Lagoni di Mercurago, offers luxury holidays with a lake view in a historical farm famous for breeding racehorses. There are 2 apartments available for guests.
We spend 5 nights there. And it was so amazing. Rooms, breakfast, service with so much love. Not a standard hotel, its more like and old british style country house. You will love the ambience. Lots of horses around and one Zebra!! Amazing.

What more needs said - title of this review says it all. We stayed for 4 nights and each night we were there the other two rooms seemed to be let as well. Lots of bookings so its a shame that more people haven't reviewed. Our bedroom and bathroom were both modern, very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable, decent pillows, 100% cotton sheets. Blackout curtains. The temperature dropped a few degrees while we were there and a quilt was placed in the room while we were out during the day - very thoughtful. Room was refreshed each day - clean towels when we needed them. Service was fab. Breakfast was a self service buffet of pastries, fruit, and a range of individually wrapped cheeses/crackers/cereal. Fruit and yoghurt varieties changed a bit each day. Drinks offered included a choice of coffees from a DeLonghi machine. Choice of juices, sparkling and still water. The B&B is in a smallish town/village - a the top of a hill. We walked up with our cases from the train station - about 20 mins and a bit hard on the lungs!! ? The property looks out onto the nature reserve - lovely woodland walks available. Some good places to eat nearby, couple of nice cafe/bars too. We liked the location but it would best suit travellers with good mobility or a car. Paulo and Vittoria were really helpful - we don't speak Italian but managed well. Paulo's English was good. Lovely family.

Mi sembra assurdo soprattutto in questo periodo “covid” trovare situazioni di sporcizia: ragni, formiche ovunque e sporco, staff assente solo per portarci le chiavi e pagarci subito pure in ritardo 60 euro per cosa?

A simple but very convenient place to stay (we stayed for 2 nights). Short distance to Malpensa airport and to sites on Lago Maggiore and Lago Orta. We had a lake view from the room and the lake is just opposite the entrance. Free parking on site was nice.

This magnificent three star camping complex is situated in the pre-alps and stands at the southern end of the breathtakingly beautiful Lake Maggiore. The Smeraldo Camping complex is the perfect location for a relaxing and a never- to-be-forgotten camping experience. The camping is built according to the most modern conception about the tourism in open air and a wide variety of different tourist and sport activities are offered by the camping.Within the 24.000 mq park there are some tyrolean-style bungalow and mobile houses, enhanced by the colourful floral arrangments around them. There is also, of course, ample space for camper vans, tents and caravans. The Smeraldo Camping Complex is equipped with a great swimming pool, a large sandy beach, tennis court and football pitch, beach volley ground, children playground. The complex is the best place for all who want relax and enjoy the Italian hot sun!!!
After a very good greeting when we arrived, being met by a guy called Bobby who looks after everything on site. He told us we got there a bit early as reception was shut. He parked us up and sent us for a drink and told us to explore the site, really nice guy. The site is very nice and shady. The pitches are a good size, the restaurant is very reasonably priced and the pizzas are great. We had a small issue as we have a massive tent and a big van. Our original pitch didn’t quite fit us in as it had a tree in a funny position and the reception moved us to a neighbouring pitch which was a better for us without any problem which was great. Our main issues were that the beach isn’t where you would really want to go for a swim. There are loads of little boats moored up just off of the shore and the water isn’t particularly nice. The showers have a token system. You get a wrist band which you have to swipe before your 6 minutes allocation. We were given 9 credits for a family of 4 for 5 nights. When we ran out we had to wait until the next day for the reception to open and take our band in for it be begrudgingly recharged. I’ve never experienced this before on any campsite. The main issue was the noise. There are a lot of resident people on the site. Probably 80% of the pitches. The children are incredibly noisy until well past midnight. We didn’t feel that this was acceptable on a campsite where people are on holiday. We left the site early as we didn’t feel like it was somewhere to enjoy our holiday and moved on to another campsite.
