Like Rothenburg, Dinkelsbuehl is one of the smaller medieval fortress cities. With its walls and towers still intact, it has the look of a typical German town of the 15th to early 17th century. Sample the famous German cuisine served in larger cities, but without the crowds. Don't miss the annual summer celebration, marking the city's surrender to Swedish troops during the Thirty Years' War. The event is emphatically reenacted by many of the town's residents. And really, who doesn't love amateur theater?

Arrive, relax and enjoy - enjoy yourself!Your way to us leads you into the heart of a contemplative scenary at the Romantic Street, where rest and recreation inspire your spirits and where an excellent way of living also expresses itself in delicious food.Enjoy an easy going time at one of the most beautiful hotels in the southern part of germany, in Dinkelsbuhl, a very attractive town dated from the Midlle Ages. Be our guest in our house full of history, tradition and savoir vivre.Out of a patrician`s home , originally built in 1440 , we have created a refuge of good taste, and have preserved the unique character and charme of the traditional property.
The exterior of the Deutsches Haus is one of the most spectacular surviving pieces of German medieval half-timbered architecture. The dining areas are equally splendid. But many of the bedrooms have been modernised - as often happens in Germany - to the extent that you wouldn’t know you were in an old building. Nevertheless, our room overlooking the internal courtyard was quiet and comfortable, with a large double bed and excellent bathroom. A very good breakfast was included in the room price we paid (€149). Parking involves a member of the hotel staff driving off somewhere with your car. But the system doesn’t involve too much waiting when it’s time to leave. Be sure to spend at least a couple of hours exploring Dinkelsbühl, one of Germany’s most beautifully preserved historic towns.

This was a great stay in a lovely town. We were in the Luis building and it was perfect. The room was huge and quite nice. It had fun touches like colorful light fixtures and had a very clean, modern feel. The bathroom was really roomy. The parking was affordable and not at all too tight or stressful. The breakfast was lovely and included in the stay. We wished we had more time to enjoy this hotel and town - this is definitely one of the best hotels we have visited in Europe! Highly recommend.

Arrived from Rothenburg via a taxi (100 euros) at 9.30am, we were allowed check into 301, facing roof tops & St George Cathedral ‘s tower tip. Room has twin beds, minibar, safe, kettle & porcelain cups, impressed! Beds very comfy! Bathroom newly renovated. Location only 1 mins walk to St George, Martpkatz & Wine Market! Room was quiet and our reasonable rates include a rather sumptuous breakfasts - smoked salmon, hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese & fresh bread. Social distancing is well practiced here with glass partitions between tables, checking of Vaccine Certificates. There is even a slow elevator for this historical hotel! We brought back unfinished lunch (sausages & dumplings) and they were able to heat them up for us, all with smiles! Most notable were the Italian lady who checked us in and the gentleman who spoke good English (works from 2pm) For the price we paid, could not have asked for more! A superb great choice of a hotel in non touristy Dinkelsbuhl. Danke schon Hotel Piazza!!!

Newly built 4 star hotel located in the picturesque town of Dinkelsbuhl. The hotel is one of the hotels in the Hezelhof hotels with a total of three hotels in the heart of the old town. Check in at the main hotel the Hezelhof Hotel, Segringer Strasse 7, 91550 Dinkelsbuhl. Breakfast is served in the center of the hotel, the hotel Luis 100m from the hotel. Enjoy the morning the short walk through the historic Glockenhof the restaurant.
We loved the location of our building. The office is a few blocks from the building we were in and we had to ask how to get there to check in. We paid for parking and were glad. The breakfast at their restaurant (a third building) is also a block and 1/2 from the room. We did not find the breakfast to be American friendly in the selections, and was expensive. The room was good for being in an old remodeled building. Clean with good places for clothes. The shower had to have a towel on the floor to prevent water from running into the toilet/sink area. Could use a mirror in the room. Only a small mirror in bathroom. Had an elevator and well lit halls and stairs. Compared to the ten rooms we stayed in across europe near/in old towns, this was pretty good for the price. Only slight problems in the room.

A great location in the centre of town. The most cute town on the Romantic Route. So picturesque it was difficult to know what to look at. Very basic rooms with little to offer in the way of facilities - ie no tea or coffee making facilities. Parking is very restricted and we had to move the car in the morning to a car park outside the town walls - but not too far to walk. Friendly staff with good English. Great breakfast facilities and a good choice of foods.

The one night we spent at the Goldenes Lamm was memorable. We opted for a "premium" room that was spacious and had a very comfortable, Stressless-type easy chair. The room was very clean and warm, and centrally located near the center of old-Dinkelsbühl. Sustainability is achieved in many little ways, like the ordering of breakfast the night before on erasable menus that can be reused and live plants in the room. The Goldenes Lamm will be our go-to lodging choice when we return to this beautiful corner of Bavaria.

We love this hotel, its location, its restaurant, its town. Highly recommend staying in Dinkelsbuhl instead of in Rothenburg, which is more crowded and touristy (and also fab!) Easy day trip from Dinkelsbühl over there but Dinkelsbühl is a lovely town to stroll, look at the interesting architectural features, enjoy a wonderful meal and a delightful Christmas market in December, too!

It's an old and really clean hotel in the small Dinkelsbuhl center. It was not so difficult to take a parking place nearby. The breakfast was good, offered in the small own restaurant. The service was also good.
