Overall property very good rooms clean and excellent views everything worked nice bar area with pool nearby plenty of space no problems getting a sun bed etc draw backs were it was isolated with no way of getting to the village at night as there were no taxi so without a car you were stuck and we found the restaurant at the hotel very poor all the food was way over cooked and everything was served with a boring salad and rice however the wine was reasonable with a good choice of french and there is a resident parrot

The Villa Rayon Vert, villa of high standing in Guadeloupe, totally renovated, is situated on the North-West Coast leaning against the mountains with an unrestraint view on the Caribbean Sea, near a beautiful fishing village, Ferry- Deshaies and a small charming beach ( Leroux) in a small bay.The beach of Grande Anse is only 6 km , the botanic Garden ( Flowers and Animals) and the village of Deshaies are only 4 km away.
During the Corona Lock down in August21 we stayed a view days at the Villa of Isabel and Alain (lovely hosts). Their villa is on a thrilling location in a private fenced property with an amazing garden and with spectacular ocean views, a jaccuzi, separate infinity swimming pool. The villa lay out is superb too. All rooms come with the view, are well airconditioned and by far the cleanest we came across on the 3 week trip. Every morning breakfast with all one can wish for. The homemade bread is to die for. Every evening at 7PM we were invited to a local cocktail and see the sun set followed by Nature's orchestra, the humming sounds of the caribbean. Isabel is the perfect host. As all restaurants were closed and the lock down is with an evening clock at 7PM, on our arrival we forgot to arrange dinner. Isabel was so kind to ensure we had a warm meal. Lovely host! She is a linguist too (French, German, English, Italian and perhaps even Spannish)!

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in May, i.e. low season. We arrived at 8pm when reception was already closed but there was a sign for us with a number to call and assistance arrived within a couple of minutes. Please note that Google maps has the address for this place slightly wrong. We followed the directions and ended up a few roads further on, having to do a three point turn in the dark and with the backwheels in a ditch! The next morning the manager took us back with a few helpful blokes who managed to lift the car out without any problems, great assistance! We opted to have breakfast every morning. Whilst it may seem expensive €15.50 per person) what you pay for is having limitless breakfadt in a beautiful setting overlooking the pool. Btw, this hotel was the setting for one of the death in paradise episodes. Breakfast was buffet style with fruit, yoghurts, cheese and cold meats, , pastries, rolls, cereals and cooked eggs to order. On days where there are only very few people you have the breakfast delivered directly to you table. Whilst we were there, the restaurant was closed but we managed to sort ourselves out a quick snack from the basic food store next door (by the petrol station) and after that found a couple of larger supermarkets towards St. Rose (E Leclerc and Carrefour). Of the two, we preferred the carrefour where we also managed to buy some cheap towels for the beach. The apartments on our side had all been newly renovated and were beautifully done up. The main room has aircon enabling a good nights sleep. The bathroom feels luxurious with a walk in shower. The terrace has a small kitchen corner with a fridge, microwave and a two ring ceramic hob. There was plenty of equipment to cook for two. Mosquitos were a problem though, even with 50% deet but so far, no major effects. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Hire a car and there are plenty of attractions to explore within an hours drive.

We stayed her for about a week and enjoyed every minute. Our room had garden and sea view, very beautiful. Even more beautiful was the view from the balcony over the caribbean sea, which we enjoyed every morning during our rich and tasty French breakfast. The service ladies were very cheerful and helpful. We would propose to the management to provide larger mosquito nets. Our apartment was ground floor. Next time we wil opt for first floor, maybe there are less mosquitoes. When we arrived with our rented car we were a bit intimidated because of the steep lane up to the hotel parking, but this proved to be no problem. There are many good restaurants and fine beaches in a five-miles-distance.

First and foremost, the property is absolutely gorgeous. It is well-maintained. The view is to-die-for and the bungalows are authentic and quaint. We stayed in "La Kaz" for two nights and then moved to "La Gwada." It was just me and my partner, so La Kaz was large enough for us, but it would be really cramped for a larger family. The bathroom is also positioned awkwardly because you have to go outside to enter (and we found out when we moved to La Gwada, you could see everything in La Kaz from the higher terraces. Oops. La Gwada was much larger and had a jacuzzi, although we could never get enough hot water to fill it, so we couldn't use it. The beds were super comfortable in both, which was great. Now for the not so awesome things. First was the supplies. Between the two bungalows, we had to buy every single thing that I would think would be available. Garbage bags, sponges, dish soap, hand soap, cooking oil, matches to light stove, tin foil/plastic wrap, salt, toilet paper (less than half a roll when we got there). I understand there wouldn't be a fully stocked kitchen/pantry, but it was obvious that the only thing there was what happened to be left over. The "breakfast" in the fridge consisted of a bag of cereal, half eaten, no label, just the plastic bag wrapped in a rubber band (no milk), unlabeled juice, and a frozen baguette. We asked the owner for two coffee "pods" for the senseo because we were desperate for coffee after our long travel day. All of that doesn't really matter - and quite frankly, would have been a non-issue had we not had to deal with construction noise. La Gwada is directly below the owner's quarters and they are renovating the top floor. So it was constant banging, electric sawing, sanding, throwing debris from the roof, etc. the whole time we were in the second bungalow. We asked them if they would be doing construction the whole time and they looked at us like we were a little crazy and then eventually said we should go tell them when we were there so they could keep it down. Who wants to get out of bed at 7:45AM to tell them we were in bed and to stop pounding on our ceiling?? We really wanted to relax on the hammock, read books and just chill, and it made it impossible with the construction. It started pretty much every day between 7:45am-9:30am. And then continued all day. I would assume the other bungalows aren't nearly as bad, since La Gwada was the first floor and the construction was the second. I would definitely ask about the construction if I were doing research. There is a row of bungalows that is farthest to the right when looking at the view....those would be best. Also, there is one bungalow directly next to the parking lot (like a few feet away) and next to the pool that would also be less than ideal. It was a tough review because the place really is gorgeous.

This gites are close to Deshaies and the beach of Grand Anse. The couple that rents them is charming and very helpful. Chantal gave us a bottel of rhum upon our arrival. You have a great view and a pool you can use round the clock. There's a lady who does catering. Short: Excellent value for the money

This place is a true hidden treasure! We’ve been travelling all over Guadeloupe, but this place takes the cake. The view from the room is simply breathtaking! You wake up, walk out of your room and overlook the bay of Grand Anse, feeling a gentle breeze while enjoying the sun slowly rise for the day. The room is very clean and well maintained, nicely decorated in an African style having an en-suite bathroom. Cédric, the owner is extremely welcoming and helpful in making your stay comfortable. I highly recommend this place if you come to Guadeloupe! We will definitely come back here to Cédric. Sidenote: We had a car on our stay in Guadeloupe which was very handy to move around and see many different things in a short period which we otherwise would not have been able to do.
