BOCO Boutique® is a six-room art hotel in the historic Three Cities, situated on the majestic Valletta Grand Harbour. Set in a historic building with an eclectic decor and warm hospitality, BOCO Boutique Hotel offers a beautiful Art Deco townhouse welcoming guests who'd like to experience the traditional Maltese way of life. Take a stroll through the historic streets of Cospicua and The Three Cities, enjoying a variety of restaurants and cafés set along the waterfront and yacht marina. This area is relatively unspoilt from urban development happening in other parts of Malta, and one can meander through the picturesque alleyways where time goes at a more sedate pace. Several centuries older than Valletta, this is where history itself was battled and written, an ideal stepping stone to explore the many archaeological and cultural attractions in the area. The Cospicua ferry terminal to Valletta is located merely 250 m away from the house, and this reliable and inexpensive 8-minute ferry crossing directly to Valletta across Grand Harbour is an experience in itself. From there one can take the elevator up to Upper Barrakka Gardens to explore Valletta, or easily take the fast 45-minute ferry to Gozo. The name BOCO is coined from BOrmla, which is the medieval name of the town, and COspicua derived from the title Città Cospicua bestowed in 1722 to Bormla by the Grand Master of the Order of the Knights of St. John, Fra Marc’Antonio Zondadari. Proprietor, manager and art creator Tony together with his team will personally greet you, and they will leave no stone unturned to fulfil BOCO's motto: "Guests are welcome, but we may part as friends"®. The decor of the house respects and honours this ascendance of the old BOrmla to the new COspicua. All the guestrooms are different, each with a unique theme, and beautifully adorned with original art pieces. The 5-level townhouse art installations adorning the house preserve the traditional richness inherited, primarily focusing on the journey of growth which the term BOCO signifies. There is art, symbology and quirkiness everywhere; the serene ambiance is tranquil, almost magical. This evolution of striving to be better to indeed live and fulfil the BOCO dream is there to be experienced, exuded to all, but touches only the receptive ones. Guest rooms are bright and airy, all having extra comfy beds. Indeed the BOCO façade is one of the most beautiful houses you will come across in The Triq l-Oratorju, but the area is also adorned with so many other house-proud properties. Savour with us our traditional Maltese way of life. Heralding from several different countries, there also is a substantial expat community in The Three Cities area. These foreigners, ranging from all walks of life, and welcomed by our deep Maltese hospitality, have indeed happily integrated well in the local social fabric, and are proud to live in one of the most beautiful and quiet areas of Malta. The BOCO Art Deco townhouse was expertly converted and renovated in 2017 preserving and up-cycling all that was discovered during the laborious restoration process. Original frescoes were uncovered, the house restored to its original grandeur. A large passenger lift is now installed, together with climate control systems, 21 PV panels making the house more environmentally-friendly, smoke detectors / alarm, very good Wi-Fi, and all modern and comfortable amenities one would expect. The private guest bathrooms are spacious, and even these are adorned with quirky artworks. The penthouse level is the climax of the hotel where guests on our panoramic balcony are mesmerised by the sheer beautiful view of The Three Cities sprawling beneath them. Encompassing Grand Harbour activity, with the magnificent Valletta bastions and city-scape as a jaw-dropping backdrop to the north, and the old capital Mdina on the skyline towards the west, this is one of the most beautiful views one can relish in this area. Tony, who lives there, will happily share an evening wine with you after your day’s adventures are over, and you can discuss with him other plans you might have for your stay. He is affable and easily approachable, and he’ll be pleased to suggest, share his knowledge. The day starts off with a hearty breakfast to nourish your exciting day ahead. Guests can also work on their suntan on the south-facing sun-deck, or enjoy our hot tub jacuzzi. After an adventurous time exploring this historical area, this is an ideal and comfortable area to come back home, relax and enjoy your favourite drink. At street level within the house, BOCO Boutique also will shortly also run a small Art & Gift Shop for those who'd like to take home with them a special memento of their experience in Malta. In this pleasant art-inspired accommodation, guests enjoying their authentic stay in The Three Cities will be exposed to the BOCO experience of being transported back in time on this beautiful evolutionary journey forward. Be BOCOlized and welcome to "The Spirit of BOCO".

The 3Cities Auberge is a unique Maltese House of Character, lovingly and painstakingly restored by its current owners to provide a stylish B&B. The house has a wealth of original features, including limestone walls, a large selection of old patterned Maltese floor tiles, exposed wooden beams. The rooms combine luxury and style to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Guests also have the use of a shaded roof terrace and an upper sun deck, with views over the rooftops to the Grand Harbour and Valletta beyond. The "Auberge" has a small library of books and a relaxing seating area on the mezzanine level, with plenty of space for everyone to find a quiet spot to relax and soak up the atmosphere.
The auberge/inn is in a beautiful, quiet residential neighbourhood with amazing rooftop views of Valletta and the Grand Harbour; we sat on the multiple roof patios, a lot! Just a short walk down the hill and you are on the waterfront and marina with a regular ferry to Valletta (only when you feel like you must go there). We spent most of our evenings near to our 'home' base and had excellent seafood and Italian meals overlooking the marina. Speaking of food... the breakfast each morning was delicious; plentiful, changing daily, and so fresh! Our room, Room d'Aragon was stunning, as is the entire property; all original features sympathetically restored with the addition of all the modern amenities. The most beautiful accommodation we've stayed in. From beginning to end, our 8 day stay in Malta was made so special, in every way, by Annett and Michael. Their customer service is impeccable and we were spoiled.

If you stay at Nelli’s you will be surely looked after. She is a lovely host, knowledgeable about the island and truly professional in her manner. Also, although situated in a traditional house of character the whole structure has been professionally done up to cater for all modern standards while keeping its lovely old worldly charm. The views over the regenerated docks and the Vittoriosa yacht marina are then the cherry on a delicious cake made by Nelli. A stay not to be missed.
