Had a great stay. Rooms were comfortable Had everything we needed. No ac, but weather was nice. Best part was the staff. Front staff, lobby staff all very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was delicious! Hotel is located in a good area close to grocery store and gas station. Felt safe and secure. There was some remodeling going on while there, however no issues. The front staff can direct you and answer any questions. They arranged a shuttle to the train station for us to get in El Chepe. Don’t expect glitz and glamor but do expect rustic homey feeling with awesome service!

There are no rooms, it's more like small wood cabins spread around the grounds which is nice. The cabin I stayed in had a small swing on the porch and was the size of a large hotel room. Service is not that great, slow and not as polite as other places in Mexico. One problem is that they close the hotel at night, we had to jump the fence because they left us outside. Very strange that they would close and not leave a guard on duty. The other thing is that the maintenance crew started working on a side walk out side our window(hammering) at 8 am on a sunday and didn't stop even after we asked. The location is ok, by the town's centre but its flat, so no good views.

Overpriced rooms and very poor customer service. We also ordered food from the grill and the meat was chewy, dry, and not rib-eye like they were trying to sell. When we told our waiter he insisted it was rib-eye and just walked away. Very disappointed after a long day of hiking. My family and I just wanted to have a nice dinner. Would not recommend.

We had a short stay in Creel before taking the Chepe Express so stayed here for two nights. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are nicely decorated and the vibe of the hotel is really nice. It drops cold at night so lots of blankets on the bed was beneficial and we also had a heater that we could use if necessary. Hot water in the showers was consistent and toiletries (shampoo and soap) and towels were provided. There’s a cafe on the ground floor, two floors of rooms and both have communal areas, plus a balcony area with a washing line which is super convenient. The owner is so lovely; he was super welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much of an ask. Very well located, only a 2 minute (if that) walk from both the bus station and the main street. Could not ask for more out of a hotel. Would absolutely recommend staying here if in Creel.

Clean comfy room, incredibly helpful manager named Mario who completely organised our tours of the canyon as well as our trip on the chepe express which we had not been able to do. They offer very good tour services at reasonable prices and overall can’t recommend enough.

Medieval castle type restaurant with individual cabins plus a Club House with indoor swimming pool and spa; also have 20 rooms in the rim of the Canyon with a Panoramic Restaurant to admire the best view of the Copper Canyon.
I stayed at Hotel Mansion Tarahumara in May 2022, renting two rooms. One with a valley view and one with a canyon view. The rooms are dated, though some might say rustic. My valley view room was actually a log style cabin, the canyon view room slightly more modern. One room had lots of hot water, one only warm water. In one room the tap water ran yellow and smelled, the other was just fine. Lighting in the rooms was dim and lacking. Many bulbs were burned out. There are also not a lot of outlets for charging your phones, tablets or using a CPAP. The beds were comfortable and the place was quiet as there were few people staying there. Our check in was chaotic after we arrived from the train station on the hotel shuttle. They pick you up at the train station and will take you back too, but there is a small, per person reasonable fee. Since there are no taxis, you have no other options. Getting around in the area can be difficult, so ask lots of questions about the shuttle schedule when you arrive. Every web site says there is a restaurant there. It’s true, but it is not always open and neither is the bar. There are specific hours for each meal time. The price to eat, and drink was very reasonable and the service was great. But if you want to eat outside of their set hours, good luck. We arrived on the morning train from Creel and no breakfast was available for us after we checked in. In fact the front desk people told us to walk down the hill to another local option to eat. While it was inexpensive and wonderful, I found it odd that a hotel with its own restaurant would refuse us service. The hotel has a small store but it was not open during our stay. That means getting some bottled water, or buying that toothbrush you forgot is going to be difficult. For modern travelers, be advised reliable WiFi here is pretty non-existent. The hotel uses a mostly inconsistent satellite system. That is true not just at the hotel, but in the entire general area. And no, you can’t just use your data either, as overall cell coverage is pretty sketchy as well. The hotel, one of the oldest in the area, looks its age. And the hundreds of steps you must climb everywhere attest to it. This place is not handicapped accessible or for people with weak knees or hearts. There are steps everywhere, all at different and inconsistent heights and sizes. Remember, the altitude is above 7500 feet and depending on where your room is, you will have to climb hundreds of steps, potentially in the dark. This is especially true in the canyon view rooms. Would I stay here again? Probably not. When I vacation I want the details taken care of and this place was lacking in that regard. But… if you want to wake up to a great sunrise over the canyon at a fraction of the price of the other hotels in Divisadero, this is a good option. Just make sure you ask about the details, plan your meals, bring a flashlight and have strong legs!
