Went for lunch with my Mother and Father, we had been quite excited about going there for lunch as we'd heard good reviews, however, after waiting over an hour to get our food, my lasagne was the driest that I've ever had, there was no juice in it whatsoever, it had been cooked that much it was burnt in areas too, it was the worst lasagne ever. My Mum's curry was so thin it resembled soup and her naan bread was like a rock it was that hard. My Dad had a lovely piece of fish and he was happy, but will I be returning no that's a definite.

The Sydney Inn has incorporated luxury and modern amenities into its beautifully detailed design, set in a downtown location for business and leisure travelers. From the moment you step into the grand lobby of this four and a half star hotel with its marble floors and barrel--vaulted ceilings, you will be surrounded by the historic elegance that sets Rodd Charlottetown Hotel in a class apart from all other Island hotels. Built in 1931 by CN Railways, Rodd Charlottetown features the elegance and attention to detail synonymous with the historic Canadian National Railway Hotels.
We stayed here for four nights in May. I upgraded to an executive suite which was laughable. We ended up in a tiny little room with a twin size love seat that pulled out. Lumpy and bumpy. I immediately requested that we switch rooms. The executive suites are all on the fifth floor. We were supposed to have a view but there was no view other than the roof below, so false advertising. The elevators only go to the fourth floor so you have to lug your bags and luggage up and down the stairs. The rooftop lounge was open but there was no furniture. When we arrived on the Sunday the restaurant and bar area closed for three days while they upgraded the floors. I wish I had known this before we arrived Once the restaurant it open on the Wednesday it was fantastic. If the restaurant and bar were open the entire time I probably would’ve rated the hotel an extra star. The staff are what makes the hotel. The staff will literally bend over backwards for you. They helped address any issues that we had and were very helpful. Would I return? Not sure. The hotel is quite quiet and peaceful which was nice. The rooms are in desperate need of upgrading. We were shown three separate rooms and each of them had outdated, old furniture in the living area that desperately needed to be replaced. Especially the pull out couches. I did like that there was a fridge in each room — And the best thing about the rooms that there was a big giant Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. This hotel has a lot of potential. It could be so much better with just a few improvements. Location was phenomenal!

Rodd Royalty is conveniently located 5 minutes from the downtown core of Charlottetown and within walking distance to Charlottetown's shopping centers. Families especially love this accommodation's glass enclosed indoor Chlorine pool and one of Prince Edward Island's largest indoor waterslide -- 105 ft. of fun!
We have stayed here before and the experience was not great decided to give it another try and it was the same. Felt like we couldn’t breathe with out a staff member telling you you couldn’t. If we have a choice next time we definitely will not be back

Paid extra to stay in a suite because we had 2 teenage children traveling with us. First of all, we had to wait 15 minutes for staff to show up at check-in. Finally get to the room and while the beds were made, the mirrors had not been cleaned. There is no alarm clock at the bedside like all other hotels I've stayed in. That is all really minor compared to the poor bed quality. I have never slept in a hotel with such poor quality beds. Not only were the uneven springs uncomfortable sticking in to my ribs, the noise when just rolling over in bed is enough to wake everyone up. Earlier in the evening while sitting on the couch we thought the people in the room above us must be moving furniture. Come to find out, the sound was coming from the bedsprings! Same in our room. A person has no choice but to move around desperately searching for a comfortable spot (there isn't one). No wonder there is no alarm clock. Nobody could sleep anyway. From the earlier good reviews of this place, I thought I must be staying in a completely different hotel. Now I'm wondering if these rooms with cheap beds are where they put people with kids. If this is how you treat families, we definitely won't be returning to a Hampton hotel.

We were upgraded to a water view, 1 bedroom suite with breakfast. Had a minor issue, which was quickly and professionally resolved by Maureen at front desk. Very comfortable bed and great room. Authentic Victorian Inn within walking distance of everything in downtown Charlottetown - updated with modern amenities.
We enjoyed four restful, comfortable nights in the Confederate Suite at the gorgeous Charlotte's Rose Inn - located just a few minutes walk from "downtown" Charlottetown, PEI. The B & B's decor reflects the home's 1884 roots. Our consummate B & B hostess, Allysha, cheerfully provided restaurant recommendations, breakfast timing accommodation and even packed us a wonderful packaged breakfast for our early departure. The owners handle the gourmet breakfast preparation but we didn't see them at all during our stay. They did however provide for 24 hour/day snacks in the lovely dining room including maple bacon nibbles, baked treats and delicious cookies. The B & B is elegant and wonderfully maintained with Rain shower heads - at least in our room. Charlottetown was a beautiful historic destination. The favorable Canadian/US $ conversion enabled us a frugal stay in this luxury B & B.
