Good stay, for our purpose
Reviewed By Bea TI would say this was good, rather than average, but Tripadvisor does not use this rating. · The hotel is still reasonably new and modern. The room size was bigger than the other aparthotel studios we stayed. We booked the hotel as it is located in the suburbs and close to the main roads, as we wanted the visit Mt St Michel and st Malo. Both destinations reachable with one hour. There was a separate kitchen area, but bench space was still small. When we arrived we had an issue with the room and although there was no reception staff, the problems was solved. There is a shopping mall with a intermarche closeby, just a five minute walk. We had a room at the south side and this means a lot of sun. The windows can be opened but there is no airconditioning. So the room was actually too warm. It is not possible to prepare a meal. Just heat something in the microwave, as the bench area is very small. There is parking next to the hotel for a reasonable price, but this is also used by the hospital staff and a car park is not guaranteed. And it can be full.

Good choice all round
Reviewed By RobHANTS_UkWe found the location to be quite good - quiet enough as in Cesson-Sevigné and next to shops/bakery and contrary to other reviews there are places to eat nearby. Okay so fast food outlets are next door but a short 7 minute walk and you'll arrive at the Hublais (I recommend the gallettes and cider!) and another 8 minutes or so and you'll be in the main area with a number of restaurants so this was fine. Being an Ibis it's basic but comfortable. We didn't bother with breakfast so can't comment. Bed was fine, room size fairly good and price was lower than expected. I always bring a car and having the parking included helped as well. You can walk to Rennes centre, but it takes almost an hour. There are plenty of buses as well (we wanted the exercise). The roads are quite easy to navigate around the hotel and it's much easier than Rennes centre. So we'll definitely use this hotel in future for our trips to see relations in the surrounding area.

You get what you paid for
Reviewed By Just1familyPretty cheap (around 65 euros a night with breakfast) so cannot expect 5*. The building is super cheaply built and furnished, reception is only available in peak hours, breakfast is not as glam as in the pics. The bed is a little hard (at least to my taste), the linen is Okish, the bathroom is small and doesnot have a hair dryer, etc. You get the picture. However the place is very clean. So if you are on a tight budget and not a light sleeper, this can be an option; otherwise you are better of forking out a little more for a more confortable option.

A long weekend to Normandy
Reviewed By Harry SWe visited Normandy and stayed one night in Brittany in Rennes. When you drive to the hotel it is an industrial park, and not so nice, however, turning into the park of the hotel it changes everything. It is nicely situated, Rooms are new, and spacious, staff is very friendly, breakfast is fine, beds are good, wifi speed is excellent. View outside the room is towards the garden. Hygiene is very good.

There is a Bufallo Grill restaurant nearby and Carrefour shopping center as well as Burger King fast food service facility. In general, the hotel and the services met my expectations.

Reviewed By haroldlflescherThis is a hotel and restaurant we found at the end of a hard day where we needed to be near Rennes to swap cars and it was too late and we were too tired to deal with a city. Cresson-Sevigny is a commercial outskirt of Rennes and didn’t promise much in the way of cute. We drove to one of the hotels in the Red Book, but that one was full. There were several standard hotels around, like the Ibis, but hotels like this serve primarily warmed pre-cooked food. We had passed this place we thought cute on the way, So we came back to find that yes they had a room and yes they had a restaurant. Indeed, the chef was the owner of both. The hotel was a 3 star by French standards, but not by us. Judy went to see the room and thought is ok enough as we were tired and wanted to be done looking, so we stayed. After we moved in she did make the comment that it reminded her of the Bates Motel, but we’re still here. It wasn’t that the room was uncomfortable but very ordinary, as was the whole place except the restaurant. It was spring and maybe the grounds were not yet cleaned up for the summer rush. Clearly the owner/chef, put the restaurant first. As for the hotel, it was just ok.

Great value hotel in easy to find location for travellers
Reviewed By las2lamWe chose this hotel due to it's location as it was an easy find from the main road we were using en-route to Spain. We chose a Superior room and were very pleased. It had all the amenities you could want, including a coffee pod machine, and was very comfortable. I have some mobility issues so welcomed the lift, walk-in-shower and good height bed. The secure car park was an added bonus and breakfast was great value for what was on offer. There is Cote-de-Boeuf Restaurant next door for evening meals.

This particular visit the breakfast and service no other word for it Atrocitious .a French hotel with no pattiseries and stale bread and cooked food which was cold and swimming in fat. Receptionist/Waitress totally uninterested. The night before stayed at Ibis Cahors everything was excellent just goes to prove bathrobes and slippers do not a good hotel make. John Denholm

OK for an overnight stay
Reviewed By denners111We stayed here in April as we were travelling through France from Caen. The staff were functional and reasonably efficient but lacked any warmth and limited English too. No onsight food meant we had to go out for a meal and th breakfast offering was way overpriced, so we diclined. The room and bathroom was clean and tidy, but no tea or coffee facilities in the room made the stay less comfortable, but was available in the Ibis in Portsmouth! Wouldn't rush to revisit.
