Unpleasant surprise at the Hotel Zvon

We were very unpleasantly surprised by what was waiting for us in the room at the Zvon Hotel. A room tucked in the very corner of the hotel, inaccessible by elevator, dark, we stared into the wall from the small windows. Absolutely did not match the offer on Booking.com.

Very clean, small but comfortable room
Reviewed By Jana81000The hotel is on a good location, few minutes from the center. The room was very clean and smelled nice, and it had a very nice view (we were on 16th floor). Breakfast is also good (fruits, oatmeal...). I would recommend it.

Outstanding hotel & staff and pet friendly
Reviewed By ilanamb20Very clean, quiet and nice rooms, great experience with breakfast and its staff. The cappuccino is delicious!!! Very friendly and english speaking. If I ever need to come back to Ceské Budejovice again, I will definitely stay here again and come with my cute small dogs.

Reviewed By O2117YBandreajWe stayed here for a few nights. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast at this hotel, the food was good. There is a bar terrace at the 8. floor, with nice view. The staff was very firendly. I would stay here again.

Hotel Klika is a family hotel in the historic centre of Ceske Budejovice. Hotel is located near the river Malse. The place is very calm and close to the main square. There are 26 rooms all with own bathroom, TV & internet connection. The parking and breakfast is included in the price.
Bad service and i might say cheating
Reviewed By KaipitanWe booked and paid a two room appartment in advance but as we arrived they gave us a cheaper three bed room because they had no appartment left. Unfortunatelly they didn't informed us. We just had to accept it. We didn't received any "sorry" nore a refund! Nothing and no friendly word. "Take it or leave". That is completly unacceptable in my opinion. But we had no choice. Bad service, bad communication but the location of the hotel is quiet good. Not recommended from my side. The Breakfast is very small and not very attractive.

good choice to get closer to city center

Breakfest is also on basic level, but sufficient. Parking lot is located in front of the hotel and charged /5EUR/day I guess). Many restaurants and shops are close to the hotel and city square as well. I can the hotel recommend to all who are looking for good ration price/ service, very good location to be close to the city center and for the trips around CB.

Another very pleasant visit
Reviewed By RomanCitizenI stayed here last year, and returned this year with my partner in tow. The hotel is extremely reasonable, comfortable and clean. Parking is available - costs extra,and must be booked in advance. This year the best thing was that the restaurant was open, we ate there both nights: menu is small (a good sign), the duck with pasta was wonderful. We shall return.

Friendly staff and top place
Reviewed By floschweppesI have to say that I cannot agree with many other reviews. First of all, the staff was always friendly with us and helped us with every question. The place is just fantastic, right at the side of the main market place but not in the middle of chaos. Parking is possible at the outside of the center, a normal thing that you can't enter with your car in a city center. The room wasn't the greatest beauty of them all but it was a huge room for little money and everything's clean and tidy. I'd say a perfect place if you want to see the city and the region and you do not want to pay to much for your room but want to have a clean and tidy space!
