Il Tigliolo is an old farmhouse of the nineteenth century recently restored, tastefully furnished and with all modern comforts. The farmhouse is placed in the heart of Val d'Orcia, and in a few minutes you can easily reach very beautiful resorts, famous for their artistic in heritage and their wine and cookery traditions such as Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano and San Quirico d'Orcia. Other historic Tuscan towns are a bit far away: Firenze (100 Km), Siena (45 Km) and San Gimignano (70 Km). Moreover, the surrounding countryside offers the possibility to have a nice and healthy bath in the thermal baths of Bagni San Filippo and Bagno Vignoni, only 8 km away. It is the ideal place to pass a very relaxing holiday in contemplation of nature, with the advantage of tasting the most typical dishes of Tuscan cooking and its best wines. Il Tigliolo is formed by two different buildings one in front of the other and separated by a beautiful courtyard. It is composed of six apartments , each with its private entrance, kitchen corner and independent gas heating. The farmhouse, deep in the Tuscan countryside and surrounded by olive-groves and vineyards, offers a swimming-pool, a self-service laundry, a barbecue and a wide parking area.
This was our second time at Il Tigliolo. We love everything about the place. It was perfect for our big family, we loved the pool, the hammock between the trees, the nature. All of it! It has true Tuscan atmosphere, we felt like in a movie :-) Paolo is a great host, he even brought us some local wine to enhance the Italian experience. The rooms were clean and tidy, the wifi was working really well, the bathrooms and the kitchen were equipped with everything we needed. We hope to come back soon!

This is a wonderful B&B. The room was very comfortable, rustically decorated, in a medieval stone village of about 20 inhabitants at the base of a hillside fort. The owner also runs a great restaurant below in a converted stable.

We are there to help you make your dream Tuscan holiday come true. Our passion for the food, wine and history of the area and our local knowledge means that we can show you the hidden gems of Tuscany that the ordinary tourist would never find. The last 7 days of our Italy vacation were spent at the beautiful BelSetiero in the heart of Val d'Orcia. Of our 3 weeks in Italy, our favorite was this final week. As part of the Villa's Food and Wine Experience, we experienced the best that Tuscany has to offer. Our host, Jan Greenan, created a week of experiences that we would have never done on our own, and we would have never know about the many wonderful venues and fun things to do without him. From the minute Jan picked us up at the train station in Siena, to our goodbyes at the Rome airport, we were wined, dined and treated like royalty. Our week was filled with visits to local wineries, such as Avignonese and Montemercurio, fun filled truffle hunting with Pierre Paulo, pasta making classes at Podere il Casale with Sondra, and cheese factory tour with Giuseppe at Fattoria Pianporcino. Can't forget the beautiful gardens at La Foce. Also visits to the charming and historical villages of Montepulciano, Campiglia, Montalcino and Pienza. Another highlight was the fantastic BBQ at BelSentiero prepared by the multi-talented Renzo Chirinos. Our final night we had dinner at the fabulous Michelin-Starred il Silene. We cannot thank Jan and Renzo enough for the sensational week (not having to drive was a bonus) We have promised to return and we are looking forward to that day. Our vacation of a lifetime has come to an end but the memories we made will last forever.

We absolutely loved our time at Agriturismo Sant'Ansano. Our little apartment was super quaint and cute. The views out of our back patio were to die for. The hosts were friendly. The pool was a great way to relax and cool off during the hot afternoons. Again...the views were astounding! Property was really well kept. Breakfasts were great. The location is within driving distance to the best towns in Tuscany. Make sure you note where the driveway is when you leave for dinner. It can be a little tricky coming back at night. There is a sign though on the side of the road that marks the property. So just look out for it :) If you are looking for an Agriturismo in the Tuscan countryside but don't want to break the bank, definitely go to Sant'Ansano!

oggio al Vento is family-run agritourism company from the 1961. Lido, Marisa e Roberto Mascelloni have been offering hospitality in 5 apartments well equipped with everything you need, from kitchen accessories to bed linen and towels. Our apartments are surrounded by the unspoilt nature of the Parco della Valdorcia. A place where spend an unforgettable holiday among our olive trees and vineyards. There will be welcome, kindness and a breathtaking view. At the beginning of the seventies, the production of cereals and wines began, with the planting of one hectare of vineyards in addition to the existing one, and the marketing of wine in demijohns, "large 54-liter glass bottles". On Valentine's Day 2000, we bottled our first Sangiovese wine, obtaining the controlled designation of origin "Orcia", contributing to the improvement of quality by using barriques for aging. In 2002, we decided to make a superior quality wine based on Sangiovese by adding 15% of round leaf which we called ARCERE. Given the success we decided to transpose the teachings of the "case" also to the production of oil, harvesting only olives of the "Frantoio" variety in the first days of November, achieving excellent qualitative results, with this oil we had the award of the best oil in the country in 2011. After the 2013, superior quality with Sangiovese "carro stellato" It is possible to book a tasting of our wines. The event includes a guided tour of the vineyards, a visit to the winery and a tasting of 3 red wines. GIALLO igt Biologico, 70% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Souvignon, 15% Merlot. 01, Doc Orcia Biologico 100% Sangiovese. ARCERE, Doc Orcia Biologico 90% Sangiovese, 10% Foglia Tonda. It is possible, if lucky, to taste even a fourth wine, the pride of the company, in production only if the vintage allows it; it's called CARRO STELLATO, Doc Orcia Biologico 100% Sangiovese. The tasting will be accompanied by a taste of bruschetta with excellent oil of our production, cold cuts and local cheeses. our oil is called PERLA VERDE Biologico, 30% Leccino, 30% Moraiolo, 30% Frantoiano, 10% Pendolino. The cost of the tasting is 18 euro per person that you will pay directly in the structure.
The 4 of us stayed 1 night at this lovely self catering apartments with breakfast served if you like. The apartment was very clean with a local Tuscan layout. Lovely drive to it away from the busy roads and towns. The views were outstanding too from all angles. Lots of outside space to relax, walk swim or sunbathing while you enjoy the scenery, splendid. The family owners were very friendly and helpful and we were met and greet:-)ed in their own lounge with a glass of there own Tuscan wine and home made cake. They have their own vineyards and olive trees too. Ideal for couples, friends or families!

The bed&breakfast La Colombella is an ancient farmhouse made of stone dated back to 1000 a. C., located in a medieval village surrounded with the hills of Val d'Orcia about 5 minutes to Terme dei Bagni di San Filippo and about 10 minutes to Terme di Bagno Vignoni. The farmhouse offers to its guests a B&B service of superior quality by preserving however the spirit and the atmosphere of a private house.
Special place! Special people!! Graziella was so so helpful even after we made our reservation last minute. She was so concerned that we were comfortable. Her teaching background shown through as she laid out her detailed instructions of what to do and see in the area. All of her suggestions were great! Bagni San Filippo is just a few minute drive and is an amazing evening to soak in the natural warm springs and come back to this cozy agriturismo afterwards. The place is centrally located to many other sites within Tuscany. Alessandro is passionate about their historic property and the land that he meticulously tends to with beautiful flowers, fruit trees, olive groves, and view from the top of a mountain overlooking the best of Tuscany. They make their own olive oil and invited us back during the harvest. Would love to come back to see that! Their fresh fruit preserves and cakes were so wonderful and started our morning with sunshine and a smile. Such a wonderful place and Graziella and Alessandro make it even better. Thanks!!
