A hidden gem
Reviewed By marysusanlileWe were fortunate to reserve a cabin here, since the lodge has only 6 cabins and is popular with loyal returning families. We had a cabin for 2. The lodge brought us a generous breakfast tray every morning. There is a pool, a yard for field games, a trampoline, plenty of secluded benches for reflection. A short hike up the hill on the property leads to a beautiful private waterfall. We were within short driving distance of beaches, restaurants, and great hiking. WiFi was slow after 7am.

We are a Chilean family offering accommodation in homey style service. We have four models of Cabins to accommodate different amounts of visitors: -Cabin Carhuello, 2 people, Ideal for Honeymoons, couple or friends. -Cabin Quetrupillan, 4 people, a cozy cottage for two couples. -Cabin El Huerto, 6 people, A perfect environment for families or groups of friends. -Cabin Rucapillan is for 8 people, for families and group of friends.
peaceful and relaxing

We had driven from Santiago and got lost when we arrived in Pucon so phoned the owner, Antonio, for directions which he gave and was very helpful. Our Spanish isn't great and he spoke perfect English. When we arrived, in the dark, we were greeted by a lovely woman who made us feel very welcome and showed us to our lodge which was perfect especially after a long day on the road. Think we may have been upgraded to a bigger lodge as we were the only guests there, it being off season. It was warm, log stove burning away, and very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay including organic veg from the garden and poly tunnel. The husband, Jose, introduced himself the following morning. They were both very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. The whole area is very beautiful and we had amazing views of volcanoes and mountains. It is a very relaxing place and I would recommend it. Unfortunately Antonio, the owner, never showed face which made communication and gaining information on things to do and bike hire he advertised, very difficult. We were also unable to contact him again by phone as the line was dead. Admittedly we should have learned more Spanish before our visit to chile but he did advertise himself as English speaking and he was aware our Spanish was sketchy, at best. Also be aware that if you don't pay with us dollars and show your immigration card you will be charged the 19 percent tax. This seems to be the case across the board though not made too clear anywhere and we learned this the hard way.

Portal Costanera Caburgua es un complejo de Cabañas para alojamiento familiar, totalmente equipadas emplazadas en un recinto de 5.700 Mt2, con Salón/Quincho a disposición de los pasajeros, áreas verdes y juegos para niños, cancha de Voleybol, y amplio espacio exterior. Estamos ubicados aproximadamente a 100 metros del Lago Caburgua en camino que une la Ruta S-911 y el Lago Caburgua, cercano a termas, parques y ríos, además de todas las entretenciones que se encuentran dentro del sector, como paseo a caballo, actividades acuáticas, caminatas y paseos en bicicleta.

Reviewed By ArjorwueTercera vez que voy. Primera vez en septiembre. Cabañas muy bien equipadas ubicadas en un lugar tranquilo de caburgua. El lago está aprox a 200 metros. El entorno de las cabañas permite el descanso, especial para ir en familia (hay algunos juegos para niñ@s) Pero sin duda lo mejor es la preocupación de sus dueños, para que la estadía sea efectivamente un momento de tranquilidad. Volveré a ir sin dudas.

Paisajes espectaculares
Reviewed By José PCabañas rodeadas de arboles nativos. Vista al volcán Villarrica y cabañas cerca de "Ojos del Caburgua". Lugar muy tranquilo y con todas las comodidas necesarias para vacacionar. Las cabañas son confortables y muy buena la atención personalizada del dueño del lugar. A los que gustan de pasear y conocer, es el lugar ideal para usarlo de centro para salir a los distintos atractivos de la Araucanía.

Mala experiencia
Reviewed By 503monicahLlegamos a Cabañas Pichares, pero nos tocó una habitación con baño privado, pero nada más, no era cabaña, tener presente para cuando reserven, ver bien. Llegamos el día que se corto La Luz por los incendios, estuvimos todo un día incomunicados, no hay generador, el frigo bar que nos pusieron nunca pudimos usarlo. Lamentable experiencia.
