Newly converted range of old farm buildings around courtyard. On the outskirts of the historic town of Bradford on Avon. The barns are well placed to visit nearby Bath, Salisbury and Bristol as well as many more local attractions. Just a short stroll from the boating, canoeing, cycling and walking opportunities on the Kennet and Avon Canal Widbrook Barns offer a comfortable and peaceful stop over, good food and plenty of outside space for morning coffee in the sun or a bottle of wine on warm evenings. Breakfast "worth getting up for" is served in the Tuck Barn and offers both traditional fare and some interesting options to start your day
Absolutely lovely B&B with excellent presentation and great facilities (the Witch was a lovely room!) in a beautiful location. Widbrook Barns provided a great base for exploring and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We had a two night midweek break here. Upon arrival we were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade and stayed within the main hotel building. The room was quirky, clean and beautifully appointed. The hotel was full of the character that might be hoped for in a Georgian building and clean and smart whilst still being pleasantly relaxed and informal. Both the breakfast and evening meals were superb and it is quite clear a great deal of care goes into the cuisine. We found the table service to be excellent. The staff were all extremely friendly and could not have been more helpful both in the course of running the hotel and other issues such as recommending walks or the best route into nearby Bath. The hotel is approached via a long drive and has a pleasantly private aspect, in its expansive grounds, whilst still being within easy reach of Bradford upon Avon by taking an attractive walk along the canal tow path. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent here and would not hesitate to return and to recommend to others.

Quirky decorative finds, vintage treasures and traditional features mix with contemporary aesthetics to create 17 individually-styled rooms. Shades of white and dusty grey form the backdrop to the interiors, set against newly sawn larch timber cladding, thick heavy beams and spaces punctuated with splashes of colour and natural texture all with Smart TV, Pure radios, unlimited free Wi-Fi.
The staff were great, service was very good, the food and drinks were excellent, the decor was appealing and the location was good. The room was surprisingly cramped and tiny and the view was a disappointment.

A family-friendly hotel, restaurant and spa set in 14 acres of lovely grounds on the edge of Bradford on Avon and the Cotswolds. Freshly cooked food from the walled kitchen garden, comfy country bedrooms, open fires, children's club and ELEMIS spa with two swimming pools. Pets welcome too! Only 15 minutes from beautiful Bath...ideal for a town and country break.
Stayed here in the John Baskerville suite with my 2 kids and dog and very much enjoyed it. Grounds are beautiful and facilities are great for children- exactly as advertised. Like other reviewers have mentioned, this hotel is a bit on the shabby side of shabby chic at times but that can be overlooked. I did get a bit frustrated at times as there were a lot of niggling issues which I wouldn’t expect at a hotel which costs this much. Individually they are very small but combined they add up - things like limescale on the shower heads, TVs not being tuned, staff forgetting requests. Saying that, I did raise it with Lisa at reception who was lovely about it and did her best to put it right. Will I return? Probably

I loved the grounds the hotel was set in, Our room was in the annexe and couldn't fault it, Breakfast was just OK for a vegetarian and the service was OK. 15 min walk into town and 20 mins back (Up hill).

Modern English Pub/Bar serving great selection of Ales and Ciders, Pub is famous for it's Homemade Pies, accommodation is available in the form of modern, clean rooms, - Please note: no parking at the pub, but plenty of parking in the towns car parks, just a few minutes walk,
Very good stay, beds comfortable, run out of sachets of milk and owner gave a full pint of milk. Very easy to check in and out. We heard no noise from the pub below. Traffic outside window but ear plugs and eye masks provided. Quiet through the night, we slept with window open but not all rooms are on the road. No breakfast but croissants and cereal provided. Water/yoghurt/juices in fridge. I've stayed in hotels where the TV is an ornament and doesn't work but not here! Close to everything you would want to see.

I have frequented this establishment on and off for the last 30 years. In that time I have seen many changes some for the better and some for the worse. Unfortunately my last visit will be my last. Over the last few months I have tolerated the lack of usual pub essentials, things like ice, crisps and snacks, cold draught lager, But the final straw has been a parking fine. I entered my registration into the tablet mounted on the bar as I have done on every visit before but this time I have received a fine of £60. So if you want to enter into an email/ phone marathon to get a parking fine cancelled then this is your pub. However if you just want a quiet pint of chilled lager, a bag of pork scatchings and a bit of ice in your vodka and coke, best to go elsewhere.

Located perfectly in the centre of Bradford on Avon The Swan is a delightfully restored coaching inn offering delightful accommodation, freshly prepared food and delightful array of local ales, spirits and wines. Boasting on site free parking, a premium in the town The Swan offers the perfect base whether visiting for business or pleasure. The properties 12 well appointed en-suite rooms all offer comfortable accommodation and provide free WiFi, tea/coffee making facilities and can be booked on a room only or bed and breakfast basis. The property also provides two dining option with traditional British fare available as well as authentic Thai cuisine prepared by traditional Thai chef's.
The food is quite expensive. I queried the total cost when advised by the bar maid £19.20 for a coke and fish and chips. She said this was the cost of the food. I asked for a receipt and then saw a 10% service charge. asked if this had to be paid and she answered 'No' but would now have to be refunded by the manager - this service charge should have been advised before being charged

A beautiful freehouse pub with 4 generously proportioned luxury boutique bedrooms with stunning views over the Georgian rooftops of the pretty town of Bradford on Avon & beyond. Just 7 miles from the historic city of Bath, The Castle is set in a characterful Georgian building & has traded as an Inn for 160 years. Lovingly, sympathetically & imaginatively restored The Castle has a playful eccentricity that is Cluedo country house meets traditional country pub.
Visited last night, pleased we booked ahead as the pub and garden was buzzing, really good atmosphere with lots of couples, groups and families taking advantage of the sunny evening. Food was delicious, ales and wine divine, manager John and his team were attentive, friendly and helpful despite being rushed off their feet. Would highly recommend and are delighted to have The Castle as our local.

Stayed for a couple of nights for my partner's birthday which I let Cherie know before and she added some balloons, prosecco and chocolates to the room which was a lovely touch and really appreciated. Rooms were lovely, spacious and clean and the location was perfect for our day trips to Longleat and Bath. Didn't stay for breakfast on this occassion and like other reviews the only criticism would be the shower. Overall would definitely recommend.
