We were a group of 7 (two families) and we all loved San Martino. The hosts are fantastic and the rooms very comfortable. There are numerous terraces each with incredible views over the coast. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. There is a place just below to park you car for free. The main piazza just down the hill was filled with fantastic restaurants. After a day at the sea we ate avery night up on the hill. We plan to return soon.

It was used to be the vicarage, the old house of the parish priest of San Martino di Verezzi, just underneath the parish church. The church and the cemetery are on top, as if hugging the four villages. Next to that, the Phoenician mill, with several nature trails branching off it. A bathroom with a washing machine is available for the guests. How to get there Leave the car in the private parking place, then walk along the caruggio, as the narrow and winding alleys are called here, for about 400 metres. You can book an Ape car to carry your luggage. There’s free wi-fi all over the facility and outside. The rooms There are 5 rooms, three ensuite and two with a private toilet outside the room. New, functional furniture; mattresses with headboards. All rooms have a sea view. The place This is a place for people who love quiet, nature and an active holiday. It is the perfect starting point for treks and bike rides. There is a room to keep your bike and a bike repair shop.

The Villa Gloria Residence is the result of the total refurbishment of the former Hotel Villa Gloria, and was opened in April 2003. The Residence - which is managed directly by its owners - is situated in the heart of the town of Borgio, with all the shops within easy striking distance (pharmacy just 20m away), and it is just a stone's throw (50m) from the seafront.
We had a truly amazing time in Villa Gloria, wonderful hosts from the moment we arrived. As a family of 2 adults and 3 young children (under 5) we were looked after and advised by staff each day regarding beaches and places to visit. Our Children loved playing in the indoor play area, and swimming in the pool. Whilst the pool was cool in June it was comfortable & refreshing after a day on the beach. We enjoyed the local restaurants and great coffee served at the hotel bar. The caves in Borgio are well worth a visit, interesting tour. We found the train station really handy for to/from airport and visiting other local beaches in Alassio, Pietra Ligure and Finale Ligure (without need for a rental car). MARGHERITA CONAD supermarket was sufficient for food to cook in our apartment and also offered freshly baked pasteies daily. Latteria 2.0 cafe is well worth a visit for amazing Italian coffees and pastries. With young children we wanted a relaxing break where children are welcome, we got this and more. The local Bagni (beaches) were great with play areas on the beach, the modest fee per day was reasonable and included a sunbed and sun lounger. All in all an amazing holiday, thanks to the villa Gloria staff and the many friendly people we met in Italy. We'd love to come back some time.

We stayed 4 nights in "il sogno di jo" and enjoyed it very much. The rooms are new and very clean and also was the bathroom, the house and the beautyful surroundings. A big compliment to Josefa for her friendly and courteous hospitality and the perfect breakfast with cappuccino, focaccia, brioches, prociutto, formaggio, and..and..and. A little bit annoying is the nearby train station and the announcements of the trains. We can recommend this B&B absolutely.

This was our favourite hotel in a long time! Full of character, wonderful large room, beautiful private terrace with lovely plants and an amazing view of the bay. Comfortable and very clean. Good breakfast and most importantly a wonderful, friendly Manager named Stefania who gives you loads of great tips and booked us into a marvelous restaurant at the top of the village. Such a friendly helpful person that by the end of our trip we thought she was our long lost Italian sister... Highly recommend - the village is stunning and unspoilt. In many places we went into we were the only non-Italians which is exactly what we wanted and so nice to be able to avoid the crowds even in July.

Very little English was spoken at the hotel with staff only speaking Italian and German. If you spoke in English they replied in German. The evening meal costs 15 Euros which I thought was rather expensive but seeing the pizzerias close by they also charge 15 Euros for a pizza. Next door to the hotel is a cafe cum gelateria. Right in front of the hotel is a level crossing and to the west of the crossing is a station but neither of the two trains I saw stopped at the station. Station originally built with an island platform but has been reduced to a single track with not even a passing loop at the station. Former signal box is used for other purposes. No waiting shelter or even a ticket machine. Tiny rooms with no balcony and tiny bathrooms & again you have to clamber over a uselss bidet in order to access the shower where hot water came fairly quickly.Nice soft towels. Packet soap and a packet showel gel which you needed scissors to open. The desk in the room was just 2 feet by 2 feet with an upright chair. The desk had sides so it made the legs feel claustrophobic as the space was so small.. Free wifi. Two single beds pushed together with a single full size sheet. and a blanket. Heating was on on arrival making the room very stuffy so the first thing was to open the window and the view was of an apartment building a few feet away. Hotel mdiscriminates against sinngle people with all single rooms at back of hotel. The dining room was a nice room from a former age. All bread in Italy tastes stale even when fresh and one roll per person was provided with cheap cold meat and cheese. No youghurt or fruit and only coffee to drink. Miniscule lift only big enough for one person and a suitcase. There were two rooms downstairs, one room had a grand piano and a TV and the other had a bar. The dining room was through the bar up a flight of steps above garages. The kitchen was in the basement.
