Best reason to visit Berea
We enjoyed our stay here and had a good experience. The historic decor and attention to detail caught our eyes! The lobby and porch are comfortable and inviting! I enjoyed reading on the porch as I rocked in a rocking a chair! Our room was comfortable other than the air conditioning seeming not cool enough for our liking (we did not call the desk about this but did attempt to adjust the thermostat multiple times). The staff was helpful and friendly.

Upon checking in the employee at the front desk was great! Once we checked into our room 315 we found mold and mildew around the baseboard. The wallpaper is coming off and I about fell through the floor. There is a very big hole under the carpet that needs to be addressed ASAP. Also the Tv in the bedroom doesn’t work. Last but not least the breakfast is lacking. To say the least this place needs a lot of tlc.

Motel 6 Berea KY is conveniently located off of I-75 exit 77, near shopping and dining. Visit Battlefield Golf Course, Hummel Planetarium and Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. Enjoy free Wi-Fi in all modern guest rooms and truck parking.
I typically do not stay at Motel 6, but this one had good reviews and the price was right, so I thought I would check it out on my way home from Georgia. This is a family-owned business that deserves to be recognized for their attention to detail and the obvious pride they take in their motel. The room was immaculately clean, the tv channel guide was in alphabetical order and of course the plastic cover was clean, the bedding as well as the mattress was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and updated. Check in was quick/friendly/informative on services provided (no breakfast but coffee), wifi password, vending location and how to check out. The area is close to the highway, but far enough away that you do not hear any traffic, very quite and peaceful. There are 2 Barbeque restaurants within minutes of walking distance and a Buc-ee's at the next exit North that is a must stop in Richmond about 3 - 4 miles on 75, I got my breakfast there and did a little shopping! All of this for under $70.00! There are 2 other hotels very near their location and probably 5 more in Berea, but if you are just looking to rest for a night or 2 as there is a lot of History available to visit in the area, why you would pay $100 plus to stay somewhere else with this gem available?

It's a hotel - clean, beds comfortable, hot water immediate, breakfast provided though it's more than continental, less than spectacular. The location is good, just off the interstate. The price was the draw.

We had to find a place in Berea due to a mistake on our reservation at another location and we ended up taking a chance on what is now called The Hometown Inn (same motel, just a different name over the door). The family that runs the Inn was pleasant. The room was clean, the mattress was comfortable, and the rate was very reasonable. The primary negative we experienced here was regarding the smoking policy. Cigarette smoke is extremely uncomfortable for us. Our room was a non-smoking room as was the one next door. But, there was a chair just outside the rooms and our next-door neighbor was smoking heavily and some of the smoke drifted into our room. Smoking should not be allowed anywhere near a non-smoking rooms -- only proximate to smoking rooms.

Knights Inn Berea "where Art grow" Under new ownership and management! New updated rooms and continental breakfast. Discounted daily rate and weekly rates available.
We pulled into Knights Inn on our trip back from Florida to Michigan. It had reasonable reviews. We needed a park at the door motel. Plus pet friendly for our dog. The lobby is very cramped and messy. Very unusual check in. One straight price no tax. Noticed all the rooms had very colorful exterior doors. Opening the door to our room we were shocked to see nothing like the pictures in there ad shows. But three bright purple walls and one wall in three colors of green geometric deisgn. Wow! Not very rest full. We had to ask someone to bring a broom and dust pan to clean the floor. This is a bare bones room. Not even an ice bucket, no tissue, no lotions, no coffee pot.. Went up to the office to ask for ice that they did bring to the room after they washed us an ice bucket. The beds were very low to the floor. Mattresses appeared clean but the cheapest that could be purchased. Old pillows, sheets were clean.

My husband and I was in town visiting for my daughter in-laws baby shower. We checked in at 11:30 am but never went to the room until around 7:00. Upon walking in the smell of the room would knock you down! No cover on the ac/heater, no microwave, no dryer, the floors and walls both were nasty with filth. Roaches and spiders in the room and dog hair on the bed. I ask for a refund but the receptionist said we had been checked it to long and no one was there that had access to do so. I asked for another room beings I couldn't get a refund and was moved 2 rooms down. The room smelled a whole lot better and had a microwave and hair dryer but still had dog hair all over the bed and the dryer had toothpaste all over it. I asked for clean bed clothes and the receptionist got a little snippy saying there was no way dog hair could be on the bed when dogs were not allowed in that room. Needless to say this was the most horrible experience I've ever had with any place I have ever stayed. Even when asking for toilet paper and clean towels we was told to come get it and the main office was all the way around the front of the building and our room was in the back. I felt dirty just from walking in and out of the rooms.
