This is a very nice Hampton Inn. Clean, comfortable room and good breakfast. Shower had plenty of pressure and bed was comfortable. There are restaurants nearby, but it is not walkable to downtown Bardstown. But just a short drive will get you into town.

Historic Inn and restaurant. Stay where the likes of The James Gang, Abraham Lincoln, and General George S. Patton have visited. You will find a vast amount of history in this building. Enjoy the world's oldest bourbon bar and eat great southern cooking in our restaurant. Full breakfast is included.
Staying here was a great choice. It is truly in the heart of Bardstown and the history of the town as well. We stayed in one of the newer rooms and were happy with everything. If you are a light sleeper make sure you book a room on the 2nd floor. Everything was nice in the room and easy access to downtown. Parking is a little tough if you don't get lucky and get a spot out front. Even the free breakfast in the morning was good.

Relax on spacious grounds, surrounded by colorful flower gardens and Koi pond. Enjoy our country breakfast of fresh-fruit, homemade pastry/fruit tarts, popovers or biscuits, bacon or sausage with eggs. In summer, enjoy the tranquility of breakfast on the deck. As always, homemade cookies, other snacks, soda/bottled water are complementary. Red Rose Inn is conveniently located walking distance of fine dining, shopping, antiques, Around the Town Carriage and local attractions. A short drive will take you to our renowned Civil War Museum, Stephen Foster Outdoor Theater, Old Kentucky Home, Barton, Jim Beam, Four Roses, Willett, Heaven Hill, Lux Row, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Preservation, Maker's Mark, and Log Still Distilleries. There are several wineries, Oscar Getz Whiskey Museum, Abbey of Gethsemani, (Monastery), Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral, Bernheim Arboretum, and the Kentucky Railroad Museum. A special treat is the Kentucky Dinner Train.
We stayed at the Red Rose Inn for a family wedding. David and Susan were the best hosts. They were so attentive, friendly and welcoming. The house is amazing. Very clean and spacious- we had 8 adults and a baby and had more than enough room. The house is so close to downtown and we could walk everywhere. I definitely recommend staying, it felt like home for the few days we were there. Cannot thank David and Susan enough!! I hope to stay again in the future.

Fairfield Inn in Bardstown was a phenomenal home away from home for my son’s wedding weekend. The manager (Tim), assistant manager (Tracy), front desk team, and all of their team were welcoming, accommodating, serving, cheerful, helpful. They assisted us with any need or question which arose throughout the weekend. The hotel facility itself is extremely clean, modern, and beautifully decorated. The complementary breakfast was simple and delicious, providing both hot and cold items, and the dining area was immaculate. The outdoor space with fire table welcomed many of our guests for early morning coffee. We rented the hotel conference/banquet room space for our rehearsal dinner. We hired a caterer and decorated the tables, room, etc. It was a perfect place for our family and friends to gather and celebrate. They were very patient with us, leading up to the the wedding weekend, with many phone calls and adjustments we needed to make with specific room needs. One of our family members required a handicap accessible room. It was perfect for him. Another family member mistakenly left a suit in the closet. Tracy called and was helpful in making arrangements to ship it to him. The wedding was at nearby My Old Kentucky Home, a very short drive from the hotel. We are exceedingly grateful to Fairfield Inn and the incredible team who took care of us throughout such a special time in our lives. The gracious hospitality they extended to us contributed tremendously to our weekend of celebration. Thank you!!

Our stay of 4 nights has started very poorly. We asked for a couple of additional pillows and was told that they had none. Only 1 ice maker in building was working. Internet was very slow (15 mbps down) and TV constantly was freezing up. Stayed the previous night at HI Express in Indianapolis. Great experience with excellent customer service. So far this management team could not come close!

We booked while the hotel was still under the old management. It is currently transitioning into a boutique hotel. We had a great stay! When we arrived in the evening there was a complimentary reception where we got to experience local wines and homemade derby pie (the best we tried during our entire trip). Hotel room was clean an comfortable. Great service and everybody on staff was really friendly and welcoming. It's in a decent area, close to most things in Bardstown. We didn't use the pool or the gym but they looked ok. The breakfast is standard chain motel fare and after the nice evening reception that was a little underwhelming.

Ok.. here we go. The rooms need condemned The microwave works if you unplug the fridge and plug it in the microwave outlet. The fridge and microwave look as though the last time they had been cleaned was half a decade ago. The carpet, stained and sticky, will lead you to the bathroom, where the vent in the ceilings are open, and allow the bugs free entrance into your room. Well, that and the gap around the air almost conditioners. We had at one point, 17 beetles, or stink bugs crawling around our room, onto our faces, and clothing. The management were great people. The actual building was sadly disappointing

I am currently here june 2018 the musty mildew smell is so overwhelming that the hints of moth balls are almost refreshing, while everything looks to be somewhat in order, I feel as if a street walker may come knocking at my door looking for business. I would go into the office and demand a refund but avoiding the smell of the office is worth the 80 dollars dollars I spent on the room.
