We spent 5 days at this hotel with our club. The hotel itself is fine, the location is a little bit on the outskirts of town, but it is an easy 20 minute walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had the 1/2 pension which included breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was ok, but for cyclists, it would have been nice to have either muesli or oatmeal instead of cakes (even if they were homemade and tasty -not great for breakfast). Eggs and ham were also available. So all in all, good for breakfast. The dinner lacked balance: 2 nights we had pasta and then potatoes as a side for the meat, no fresh veggies. The wines were mediocre. Many people cut the red with water, which is a sign it is a little rough. So in general dinners were average.

Very nice. Everything was great! I recommend this resort and would stay there again. Attentive management. Food and beverages were great. Family management of a nice place to stay. Rural resorts in the Florence area are wonderful.

What a wonderful hotel. I stayed with my wife for 2 nights in May. We attended a wedding a short distance away, my wife sang and played guitar during the ceremony and drinks reception. Our room was a great size with private bathroom, nice light and airy. We had the inclusive continental breakfast on both mornings, great choice and variety. The friendly owner also offered to take us to the wedding to avoid very expensive local taxi's! A true delight and will definately stay again in the future

These are apartments and rates are per week
We stayed (family of 4 - incl 16 & 20 year old) in apartment Lavanda which was lovely - spacious, clean and comfortable. The view from the terrace towards San Gimignano was fabulous - the terrace is surrounded by rosemary bushes and a fig tree. It's a 10 minute walk to the main house where the swimming pool is located which we didn't mind (or of course you can drive). Barbara at reception was lovely and friendly. We did the tour of the winery and the wine-tasting which was very informal and informative - the Casa Sola wine (especially the Vin Santo) is wonderful - as is their olive oil and balsamic vinegar! We opted for the breakfast basket the first morning -which had plenty of fruit, coffee and cake. Siena is about 30-40 mins away - we went to the final trial of the Palio which was an amazing experience. We tried to go to San Gimignano but (at 10am!) the parking there was full! So instead we went to Certaldo - just as beautiful ! I can highly recommend Casa Sola - we really enjoyed our stay.

The Tenuta la Cipresseta is a villa with a spacious garden, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, in the Sant'Agnese nature reserve, which is one of the few in the world containing spectacular hills covered with naturally propagated cypress trees. The villa stands on a hill which overlooks an enchanted landscape; the ruins of an ancient castle, old Tuscan farmhouses, olive groves, vineyards and the perfectly preserved Paneretta castle, - one of the best in Chianti - can be seen like in the view from a terrace on a picture postcard. The villa consists of four, very comfortable, fully equipped apartments, each with its own exclusive, furnished garden. The landscape and the view, the lack of roads in the surroundings (the only road to reach the villa finishes in the woods and no other roads can be seen or heard from the villa), the woods full of cypress trees, oaks and holm oaks, the vineyards and olive groves surrounding the villa and the typical atmosphere of this land with its warm, natural colours all add up to create a cosy, magical, relaxing atmosphere. The pool can be reached from the large garden surrounding the villa, it was designed and built amongst the olives and vines where peace reigns supreme; and it is far enough from the apartments and their private gardens to guarantee the utmost privacy and tranquillity. The garden contains a fine cypress wood, lots of olive and fruit trees and is enhanced by beds of multicoloured rose bushes and aromatic plants. The Tenuta la Cipresseta is the ideal place for those who love to stay in the heart of Chianti Classico, be it to enjoy a completely relaxing holiday or to discover the delights of Tuscany. As a matter of fact, at the Tenuta la Cipresseta (La Cipresseta Estate) you can enjoy the peace of country life, indulge in strolls among the olives, vines and cypress trees and discover light, barely perceivable hills crossed by pathways and dirt tracks. The Tenuta la Cipresseta is also the perfect starting point for day trips: in a few hours you can visit the nearby Tuscan cities of art (Florence 35 km., Siena 30 km., San Gimignano 15 km., Volterra 40 km., Monteriggioni 20 km. etc.), not to mention the small hamlets and medieval villages, evocatively steeped in tradition, on which the history of the Chianti Classico area is based and which have made it famous throughout the world. The villa stands in a place which is easily reached from the major roads and is adapted to any requirement.
We stayed at this villa from Sept. 15-29th for a total of 2 weeks. We were so excited to get away from the hustle & bustle of Rome from 3 days. After arriving, it was so exceptionally quiet and loved it there!! Rosita greeted us when we arrived and was so hospitable even during our stay. She arranged for a winery tour just up around the road. The Leccio was fully equipped, where we stayed and couldn't asked for more. The pool was so beautiful and very refreshing when we swam there. Making our own meals Italian style was a bonus for us. We totally recommend her place. Thank you Rosita & staff

Between the main streets Francigena and Cassia, the Holiday house Linearis and Podere Sertofano offer to the travellers the possibility of relaxing in the peace of tuscan countryside. A few miles away there is the highway Firenze-Siena to reach the major tuscan cities, many places of artistic, historical and cultural interest, some world-famous and others to be discovered. In 1998 our family bought the farm and its lands around, restructured with care to 6 years, to full respect for the authenticity of the structure. The oldest part dates back to 1600, period of creation of the farm in Tuscan, which was used as sighting tower. Then the rest of the building and the farm, with the apartments upstairs and the stables downstairs, were added to the tower, in different periods (the last was in 1847). Today the farm is the centre of our company which is interested in extravirgin olive oil production, with Igp trademark cold squeezed, and Chianti grapes production with controlled designation of origin guaranteed (DOCG). The Holiday house Linearis has six apartments, obtained by the walls of old farm, from old barn were derived the two apartments of Sertofano Farmhouse. Near the apartments there is a second little barn restructured as launderette, a public bath, a point of information and wi-fi zone for the guests and the old equipment room is now the reception. The farm is family-owned and one of owners lives in the structure. You can undestand our love for this land by the thidy garden, watered, during hot months, with rain water collected in a cistern. We have a little photovoltaic system for the production of energy. In the farm the separate collection of rubbish is very important. Surrounded by olive grove, vineyards and monumental plants, the apartments are independent, furnished with all comfort, with a simple and pretty style. Everyone has an own outdoor furniture. The Farm has the pool, with the access to the beach, and a depth of 160 cm, opened from Easter to the end of September. In the opposite side to the pool there is the barbecue with outdoor tables and a playground for children. Besides outdoor parking the guests can use the covered payment garage and in the garden you can use free wi fi. Nature lovers, we don't use pesticides and for the cleaning of the apartment we use just ecological products. In our farm you don't find the microwave, bad for the health, the bathtub, to don't waste the water, and the taps have a water reducer. In the night the farm uses low energetic impact lights so you have a dinner looking the stars. Just a house in the country. For us our guests are very important people and we meet their requirements. For us it is a real pleasure to help you for the museum bookings and organize activities around the Tuscany or specific trip. We believe that our Farm is ideal to spend a smart and indipendent holiday, in a country full of big contradictions and a touching beauty with traditions and big arts. Your pets are accepted, with a little payment. Chair and cradle for your children are free, but on request.
Flew Heathrow to Pisa with BA (baggage allowance let us take 2 car seats- buy some cheap ones rather than hiring them over there - you don’t know what you’re getting and it’s expensive). Also make sure you get the damage waiver on your hire car- we were v careful but still got some parking dings from other people opening doors onto our car- v annoying but thankfully all come vetted by a he waiver. If you’re arriving with loads of luggage and kids another bit of advice would be to set them up in one of the restaurants whilst one of you goes to pick up the car and drive it back to the terminal- it’s a short walk to the car hire place but with 4 bags and 2 car seats you’d need the free transfer bus - which you’ll need to wait for and the queues to pick up the car can be quite long - and there’s nothng there to amuse your kids. The drive down to Poggibonsi is just over an hour- I used TomTom on my phone for all our driving and it was fine. Anyway on to the accommodation - we had a 2 bed apartment and it was great- v comfortable with everything that we needed. The liocation is great being just outside Poggibonsi- which is about a 8min drive away-There’s everything there that you could want. Having no 2x 3yr old boys we didn’t eat out in the evenings v often but cooked at home, got them to bed and sat outside whilst the sun went down over the Tuscan hills. It’s convenient for the motorways to come ale you to Siena, San Gim etc so travelling by round the region is easy. Having the pool was great with the boys- bit chilly in the mornings but bearable Have no hesitation in recommending it and would definately go back. Book with Katia directly

The holiday farm is a part of old time Tuscany still unspoilt and rich in tradition, which is known as the Chianti Classico region. It is immersed among vineyards and olive-trees, medieval towns and art cities like Florence, Siena, San Gimignano. In the evening you can dine at a hospitable typical Tuscan restaurant, where you can taste the produce of the farm sitting at a long table in an atmosphere of friendly conviviality.
Host, chef Massimo and staff, Ellena and Laura showed us a wonderful time. We booked the cooking class and learned how to make tiramisu, ravioli, beef peposo and a very delicious baked vegetable dish topped with a crust of Parmesan reggiano. Fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden, grass fed beef, hand made pasta and a lovely Chianti Classico from their estate winery. We prepared all of the meal ourselves with direction form Chef Massimo and Chef Ellena in their traditional Tuscan kitchen. This cooking class really exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend this to part of a visit to the area.one of the highlights of our vacation
