We really enjoyed this grand old inn on the main street and it's proprietor Sean. He gave us all a custom map of Cape Breton with notable places of interest on the Cabot trail. Everyone we chatted with in this town were so friendly(and all knew Sean!)

We only spent one night here as we were doing the Cabot Trail.... and it was a pleasant surprise. I like the outside sitting chairs, fridge in room, and clean atmosphere. It has great water views, and I think they have an outdoor pool too!

Rooms are nice and beds very comfortable …lovely property..but that was it for us. During off season the managers are not on site so any issues you have to call them and wait till they arrive. TV cable never worked right the entire three night stay…poor pictures or no channels at all. Internet quit entirely one day…again had to wait till they came and rest everything. Hot water was an ordeal. You had to run the bathtub about 5 minutes to get hot water so it would then flow in the sink just to wash your hands.Lines always cold and needed to clear. Bathroom had no heat so tile floor was ice cold ..as was the toilet seat if you sat!..a few light bulbs also out and not replaced. This is likely a totally different hotel at peak season but other than a regular room with a great bed..that’s it for April..

Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely place right by the water with low windows and seating to make most of the view from the room. Plenty of tea and coffee. Parts of the room were a bit dusty and there was a slight smell of damp but we were there late may before the season got going.

Our first stay at this beautiful property. Our room was clean and very comfortable and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. It was very private and quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We expected a continental breakfast and were pleasantly surprised to be served a full breakfast by our friendly host! We will be back!

Under NEW Ownership in 2013 we are settled on the shore of the Bras d'Or Lake, this family run Motel sits on top of a beautiful hill overlooking the lake. We have a private beach and docking facility, and a heated in-ground pool. Our Cabot Restaurant is open daily for Breakfast and Dinner, with most seats providing amazing views of the lake. We are 5 minutes drive from the Village of Baddeck, and the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. A wonderful stop for two nights when traveling around the world famous Cabot Trail. We are a small, comfortable, CLEAN, family motel that specialize in making our guests feel at home. We are " A refreshing stop along the way..."
Close to Baddeck and the Parks Canada AG Bell Exhibition. Situated on the shore of the lake (there is a dock across the road you can use to go swimming...) . The hotel is clean, well organized and well frequented. It has a restaurant attached for breakfast and supper, while you have Baddeck and a close Tim's as an alternative

A small charming Inn on the waterfront at Baddeck with it's own famous art and craft gallery. Complimentary breakfast with an outstanding menu of home-baked, natural selection. An Inn, small enough to take your needs seriously.
We stayed at Water's Edge for one night in September, 2021. I'll start off with the positives... 1. - great location close to the village that has a couple of nice restaurants, gift shops and a good grocery store. 2.- nice view from the rooms at the front of the inn 3.- yummy breakfast 4. - great hosts that were very welcoming and informative about the area 5.- clean Unfortunately, the inn needs improvements... 1.- the access to our room was at the side of the house and the access was very dorm-like...that should have been a good indication of what the room was going to be like 2.- our room needed a great deal of updating 3.- bedding was clean but old 4.- tv was ancient with very poor reception and poor angles to watch 5.- wifi weak 6.- dim lighting and difficult to read a book 7. - everything very dated and the room rate was not indicative of this

Welcome to the Ceilidh Country Lodge! Our lodge provides comfortable accommodation for all types of traveler and we are pleased to offer each of them a complimentary continental breakfast! Enjoy stunning views of the Bras d'Or Lakes from our elevated property and a warm smile from our innkeepers and staff! Only a few minutes walk from the Baddeck village center
Undoubtably a beautiful property , well maintained, across from lake and Inverary Resort , but the accommodations basic and dated. Clean with a B&B feel, sweet helpful owners/staff. Rooms are small, double beds with no fridge was disappointing when you’re travelling with some extra food and drinks. Outdoor deck nice A/C loud, tiny tv, but manageable for a couple days

We looked for a centrally located hotel as we wanted to visit the Cabot Trail and found this hotel. The hotel is authentic, with original decor, eye for detail. Spacious room and spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower. Although on a kind of crossroads very quiet at night. Nice and friendly staff, thought of everything.
