This hotel is just a short drive from the Ferry Port at Dover or the Channel Tunnel. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. Diane always puts on the best show! The hotel is next to so many places to eat and drink but I always like to eat in the hotel where the food is good and it comes quickly. Thank you to everyone at the hotel. You will see me many more times :)

Wow, wow, wow - an amazing find! We stayed for 2 nights, as we were in the area for a friend’s wedding. From the warm welcome on arrival, to the fond farewell on our departure, the service was second to none. Our room was clean, stylish and comfortable. Breakfast on both days was of an extremely high standard with locally sourced ingredients. We couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you New Running Horse - we will most definitely be back! ??

We booked afternoon tea here and arrived on time to a warm welcome, lovely atmosphere and fantastic architecture. we were seated by the window where light flooded in and we set ourselves up for a beautiful lunch. When our Afternoon tea arrived the sandwiches were simple fingers - 2 x cheese, 1 x salmon and 1 x egg, These were nice if a little lacking in creativity. Next came the teapots, we had ordered English breakfast - Upon pouring we had the horror of finding milk had been added to the teapot before they arrived at the table, this resulted in a lukewarm weak tea which I could not consume as I'm lactose intolerant - never have I seen this done before, or indeed do I hope to see in the future. The scones which were with the Afternoon tea were nice, came with a good amount of cream and jam. These were followed by a few fancy cakes at the top of the tiers, these were all very nice and complimented the Afternoon tea well. Upon paying I mentioned the tea and the server simply replied, that it was the other waiter's "First day" and that he would teach him how to make a pot of tea - I believe this should have been shown to him before serving the public in such a venue. I would be willing to give it another chance as this might have been an off day, however, for £66 for a basic afternoon tea this is an expensive price to pay for the hotel's off day.

Fill up on fun with a stopover at Premier Inn Hotel Ashford (Eureka Park). You'll be smack bang in the middle of an oasis of entertainment, yet right on hand for the Eurotunnel. You could watch the stars of the big-screen at Cineworld, then star in your own European adventure. Or grab some great deals at Ashford Designer Outlet before heading off to seal a business deal in Brussels. And when you're tired out from work or play, rest up with our tasty restaurant, spacious air-conditioned rooms and super comfy beds.
Lack of tea / coffee in the room, pillows had seen better days, no life in them, no natural ventilation as window was sealed shut, found room to be stuffy. Restaurant was closed, told manager had walked out, would have thought they had assistant manager. Told to eat else where that cost twice as much. This is the worst sty at this establishment over the past 5 years such a shame. Would not recommend, shower gel was not even filled in bathroom. Poor example all round.

Traditional English hotel.
An excellent experience. Went out of their way to accommodate the rally. Food very good. Thanks to George and his staff. The new ownership has made a real difference to this hotel. Reasonable prices and good beer!

Not many places do a traditional Sunday lunch anymore and fewer still do them as good as this. Set in a picturesque village location, overlooking the cricket green and offering a fantastic meal, a great service and in a lovely olde worlde pub. What more could you want ?

Came as a group to Plumpton House, and got various rooms. All were extremely dated in design and looked tired. There were many spider webs and lots of dust. (Even a leak from one of the bathrooms into the kitchen). However, what took the crown here, was the smell of one of the rooms. The stench of cigarettes could be smelt from the hallway. It was totally unbearable for the first hour but got better progressively over the next few hours. We used a grand total of 2 febreeze cans to keep the smell at bay. The showers were also terrible. There was no water pressure and the floor/bottom of the walls were grimy and sticky. Idid not expect much but this house was definitely sub bar with my expectations. The only plus was the tennis court, where the net was ripped and hung very low. Overall, I do not recommend and I am sure that there are better places to stay at.

I have stayed at this hotel on two occasions now and I'm sorry to say both were awful experiences. I won't be staying there again. I don't want to blame the staff but the management seriously need to up their game as far as employing more staff to cater for the number of guests that they book in. On both occasions our evening meal was a disaster in terms of how slowly the food came out, eg, there were huge waits in-between courses. We sat down to eat at 6.45pm and our desert eventually arrived at 9.45pm and was served to us with main meal plates still piled up on the table. Drinks were scarce and the when we tried to go and get our own drinks because we were fed up with waiting for service, we discovered that the bar at the front of the hotel had run out of vodka. This was at 9pm at night. I could go on but... Overall it was clear that there just weren't enough staff to cater for the number of guests, either serving or in the kitchen. As I say, this has happened twice now with a good 8 months in-between stays. On a positive note, the beds are comfy and the staff that were present, were very nice. Sorry Ashford International but I hope this review goes some way to help improve your service.
