Nicest hotel in the area and the best stay on our Camino (we hiked from Ponferrada to SdC). Just book it! You will not be disappointed. Also treat yourself to pizza at Il Fornaccio. You will not regret that either. The room was delightful and it was warm enough to sun by the pool. A wonderfully appointed hotel and absolutely top-notch service. Very highly recommend

Stately home built with stone walls and hardwood ceilings, located at the crossroads of the French Way (1 km.) and the Road North of St. James Way (500 m.) This unique country resort offers visitors all the amenities: Restaurant service, terrace view service, massages, bike rental and storage facility, laundry service, backpacks carrier, satellite TV with international channels, free parking, free internet access, library, garden & kitchen garden, meeting & banquet facilities.
We stayed here in April 2022 for two nights while walking the Camino de Santiago. The property is historic and beautiful; and all the staff were very nice. Unfortunately, dinners at the restaurant were unbearable. The service was terribly slow. At least 45 minutes before even taking our order. Food was below average for dinner and for the included breakfast. It really is a beautiful property; but unfortunately the poor service experience at dinners takes our overall rating to average.

Very good hotel in the heart of Arzua, Galicia, right in the middle of the main street in town, Rua Lugo. Convenient location in the city centre near to all the restaurants, shops and other attractions in town. Has an excellent restaurant as well. It seems this hotel is very popular among pilgrims on the camino and I understand that it is often fully booked during the summer months because of this. The listing for this property here on Tripadvisor says that it is a B&B or Inn but this is not right and actually this is indeed a real hotel probably 3* or 4*. The hotel is very recently renovated and have many stylish rooms in 5 etage with elevator. Rooms with nice wood decor, marble floor in bathroom and a small french balcony. There is a strong and pleasant A/C right above the entrance of the room which is complimentary included in the room price at no extra cost. Also there is a big and modern Samsung Smart-TV with built in Chromecast which was very much appreciated. Bed was basic but comfortable and bathroom was nice with complimentary toiletries as well. Ate both dinner and breakast in the hotel restaurant and was served huge portions at dinner almost too big to finish for one person and was even given a whole bottle of the house own wine which also was very appreciated. The service in restaurant was excellent and cooking was very quick. Breakfast was standard basic continental breakfast and since my stay here was during the COVID-19 pandemic all food items and drinks was individually prepared and delivered to your own table by the waitress. Overall great value for money and a nice modern hotel right in the city centre that is just as good for business travelers as it is for leisure travelers that won't dissapoint you. Would really recommend this hotel and would definately stay here again!

Casa Lucas is an old farm house restored into a cozy country hotel. It is located 8km far from Arzua (The Way of Saint James) and it is sorrounded by a large area that streches down to the shore of Portodemouros' reservoir. It has available five double bedrooms and two apartments. Services: free transport for piligrims, wifi
What a dream this place is - while located a bit off of the Camino, the hosts are generous and kind, and the place feels grounded in timeless history. The setting is unbelievably serene and calm. And as others have mentioned, the food is delicious! Here's an example of the host's thoughtfulness. Because the place is located several miles away from the Camino, they give you a ride back to town in the morning. I started walking and then realized that I left my poles back in the room. (That tells you how tired I was!) Without cell phone reception, I bid farewell to my poles. :-( Well, the hosts managed to make sure that my poles arrived at my next hotel stop! I was stunned to see my poles there waiting for me. I can't tell you how touched I was by their effort to make sure I was reunited with my trekking poles. As you know, on the Camino, trekking poles can really make a difference when you are walking for miles on hilly and muddy terrain. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful family at Casa Lucas. They are a bright and kind light in Galicia.

Nestled among characteristic Galician 'Aldeas' (villages), Lar da Mota is a 16th century farmhouse restored into a Boutique Hotel with 10 contemporary guest rooms whilst still retaining many of its original features, natural stone walls and rustic charm. The Hotel is located on the outskirts of Arzúa (6 kms) along both the French and Northern Routes of the ‘Camino de Santiago’ (Trail of Saint James) surrounded by plush meadows, valleys and characteristic Galician ‘Aldeas’ (villages).
This is a wonderful hotel! The staff is incredible. They go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great experience. The rooms are very well decorated. The food is delicious! The chef is very accommodating to food preferences and allergies.

The hotel is rated 2 stars but it worth 4! Everything was great. Room was modern, clean, big. It has spacious elevators, breakfast was outstanding, and they don't serve dinner at the location but the restaurant they send you (Encontro) to has a wonderful service and the best paella in town. So fas has been the best hotel of our Camino de Santiago (Saint James Way) journey.

Rural house located in the pilgrimage road to Santiago de Compostela ideal for relaxation; with a length of more than a hundred years, with large stone walls, typical construction in the area, decorated with exquisite taste, each room giving the name of famous Galician writers and custom decor. Surrounds it a large garden
The owner is happy to pick up and drop off if you call the mobile but it is still a little inconvenient. The bed was very comfy and location meant it was quiet but there is nothing to do there. The shower not brilliant. The food was adequate but nothing to write home about. The owner seemed to be doing everything himself in the main.

This is the best place we stayed by far on the camino! The property/room is clean! Well appointed facilities. For 3 Euro you can use washer and dryer. It’s situated just above the bridge and the river in Ribadiso. It’s a beautiful little historical town. We booked through booking.com and the breakfast was included (please see pic below). If that isn’t generous...to top it off when I asked for a second coffee, they didn’t charge me for it. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. You can get all your meals and bottled water from the restaurant across the street. They open at 6am for breakfast which is great for us starting the Camino at 6.30 everyday. Overall it was perfect!!

Rooms are small and damp. Beds are tiny and hard as a rock. So don’t expect much of a sleep in here. Rooms are on the upper floor, so you have to drag your bags through a sharp staircase. If you’re especially unlucky (as one in our company was) you’ll be offered the room in the reception (yes, in the reception). You shut it by a slide door and it’s located just next to entrance, two meters from the reception desk and one meter from the stairs. So you’ll be hearing every suitcase being dragged up the stairs, every conservation being conducted at the reception, and every person entering or exiting through the main door. Breakfast is lackluster and served at another premise. Staff are some of the most rude and aggressive I have ever encountered. Expect to be yelled at if you dare to complain about anything.
