Reviewed By KellorphThe property is not so big but the way the owner handles each visitors is so amazing that you will feel very important to them. You will be guided by the owner to locate the area. The transient house is tidy. The assistant personnel are always there to assist you. The only minor problem is the water on the second floor rooms. The water drip is not so strong and full specially in the morning time.

Reviewed By Belinha BStayed here with my friend who was visiting from Europe and everything was great! The staff was incredibly attentive, and so were the owner and his daughter! The rooms were perfectly clean and the garden is gorgeous! The location is also within walking distance of the pier in case you plan on going island hopping! If you're looking for a clean room with friendly and honest staff, and a family feel, this is the place!

Monte Rio Gardens B&B is located in the middle of town, a walking distance to the town plaza, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Nepo Mall, McDonald's, Jollybee,etc. It is about 5 km from the warf where one takes a boat to the Hundred Islands. Tour packages for the Hundred Islands and surrounding tourist attractions can be arranged. Monte Rio Gardens B&B has a spacious garden with a gazebo and barbeque pit.

Complementary to the Hundred Islands escapade, our stay in this Alaminos property is very enjoyable _ first for the hospitality and nice treatment of the staff towards their guests. They are a bunch of kind and accommodating people. Mandy even cooked some fresh seafood for us; and willingly bought from Red Ribbon, a birthday cake for my friend upon my request. Another male staff carried our bags and accompanied us to the bus terminal. The surrounding areas like the gardens, backyard, annex accommodation rooms and private parking area exceeded our expectations. The included breakfast was very satisfying! Our sleep quality was very good. We would suggest though, to sort out the little stagnated water inside the toilet and bathroom. Water has to flow smoothly towards the bell trap drain. The gardens too, need a bit more of regular tending and maintenance. The simply nice gazebo is an attraction for guests who love photography. We were delighted to meet and interact with the owner of Monte Rio Gardens. The location is a big plus, as it is just a very short walking distance to the bus terminal. The property is centrally and conveniently located. Although we made the reservation through Booking.com, we appreciated the senior citizen discount because it was sincerely given. There was no need for us to haggle with the price. Our trip to the Hundred Islands had been an exceptional journey. Loads of warm THANKS to Monte Rio Gardens Bed & Breakfast.

Reviewed By Cartagena2019These two properties are modestly furnished, but the location is absolutely amazing, literally a few minuets form Bolo beach where you can get your boat to do island hopping in 100 Islands National Park (which is the main reason for coming here). Marie the owner coudl not be more helpful, her husband drove us form the buss station at 11.30pm! which is incredibly kind. They provide all the information, book the island hopping boat and food form restaurants in town. Cannot recommend too highly! And Beth is a splendid housekeeper. Will certainly return.Thank you Marie, Paul and Beth

Reviewed By ed MRooms were clean and spacious. Hotel staff very courteous. Restaurant tends to get very crowded at night. Nice place to stay for the island hopping. Park is a few feet from the entrance and a nice place to stroll at night or to catch the sunrise. Several places to eat less than 2 minutes walk.

Reviewed By che_pasyalwhen we went here, we thought we are very near the lucap wharf but its not even walking distance. there are more hotels/inn near the wharf. the front desk staff are courteous enough. the place is quite cozy. the room is quite small for us. working aircon, tv and hot and shower but their comfort room is not well maintained. clogging sink, dirty corners, rusty tubes (badly need replacement). owners are not even friendly. hhhmm... i wont comeback. i will search for other hotels instead.

We were free to cook our meals. We had an easy access to the market to but vegetables. The problem is their aircon unit at the concrete houses - it is beaten by the heat. Sa madaling araw lang nakukuhang lumamig. There were also brown outs, kaya umigib kami ng tubig.
