Whether you're a hiker, biker or nature-lover, our Premier Inn Abergavenny hotel is great for a short break. Explore the spectacular limestone caves and mountain trails of Brecon Beacons National Park, discover the secrets of the ancient Abergavenny Castle or try and get hole-in-one at Monmouthshire Golf Club. And after a day out in the fresh country air, return and refuel in our Brewers Fayre restaurant and then drift off in your extra comfy, kingsize Hypnos bed.
Perfect location for exploring surrounding area and Brecon Beacons. Family room was really clean and had everything we needed including hairdryer and tea/coffee. Breakfast was great value for money especially as kids eat for free.

A traditional coaching inn set at the foot of Sugar Loaf Mountain at the gateway to the picturesque Brecon Beacons national park. The pub features a bright conservatory, and a roaring log fire in the open-plan restaurant. Our restaurant is a renowned eating establishment where families are always welcome. There are lunch and evening menus and a set-menu becoming increasingly popular ? so do try to book in advance if possible. There is a versatile function room, seating up to 100 people, with its own fully stocked bar can be transformed into a ballroom, ideal for weddings and corporate functions. This is the perfect base for exploring the magnificent beauty of the National Park, and what better way to end your days of discovery than with a meal, drink and our traditional warm welcome. At the rear of the pub is a play area, and large beer garden.
My husband and I stayed here recently when on business in Abergavenny and found it convenient and comfortable accommodation. The room was clean and well cared for and had all the basics. and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The only reason for not giving a 5-star rating was because of noise from other rooms - not the management's fault but the way the building is designed meant the five guest rooms were very close together and you could hear the self-closing doors banging and also other rooms' TVs. No noise from the pub or garden though. Good night's sleep after everyone else had gone to bed!

We had a weekend break here with Family members, staying in Room 5 (accessible) and eating in the restaurant one night. Fantastic service – such friendly people – and excellent food. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Access around the bed and in the wet room was good. There is level access all around the site. Unfortunately there was a power cut on the night we had our table booked, but the staff quickly moved our booking to the following night and were really apologetic for any inconvenience caused. The meal we had was very good and made the most of local and seasonal produce. Stephen and Joanna made us feel very welcome and we were able to share a number of things that we had in common when he came to our table to talk with us after the meal. The breakfasts were also very good with quality ingredients and a good selection. Only slightly negative point was that the toasted sourdough bread was a bit thick so tough to eat. Overall we would highly recommend this for a gastro experience and stay.

A the Celyn, there are three spacious double bedrooms available for guests. All have en suite bathrooms, central heating, free WIFI access, flat screen Television’s, bathrobes, radios, hair dryers and hospitality trays. A spacious living room is also available with large comfy sofa’s, a wide screen television and a wood burner. Our master suite offers a spot of extra luxury with a king size bed. The large ensuite bathroom has a wonderful walk-in power shower, free standing bath, dressing gowns, huge towels on the heated towel rail and little luxurious extras to make your stay special.
Sarah and Paul are so warm and welcoming - as is their beautiful modern farmhouse. Celyn Farm sits nestling on the hillside, with stunning, panoramic views in every direction. The drive up from Crickhowell was very pretty - along quiet country lanes, banked with bluebells and primroses - and fields full of gambling lambs (we visited in April). The master room we stayed in was very spacious, with a massive en-suite bath and shower room - all spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were great quality - and again came with stunning views ! Just a heads up if you are staying on a Sunday or Monday - the closest local pubs are both closed those nights - but delicious food can be found 15mins drive down the hill in Crickhowell itself at The Bear and The Dragon (I suggest you book as they were very busy those nights).

The Kings Head Hotel is a 16th C coaching inn situated in the centre of Abergavenny. All rooms have en suite shower rooms, colour television and hostess trays.
The room price did not reflect the quality of the rooms at all. Ours (supposedly the best room) was tired and shabby in its decor. There was black mould in the seal under the shower door and either mould, dirt or rust in the shower hose that shed into the bath in lumps as you washed. The soap dispenser and bathroom radiator were both broken on one side and the shower (a trickle at best) made a horrendous noise when in use either in our room or when another guest in another room used theirs. The rest of the bedroom was tired, old fashioned and on the grubby side (a makeover much needed). The bed squeaked unlike anything I’d ever experienced at all; turning over in the night couldn’t be done without waking the other, let alone getting up to use the bathroom. The main stairwell from the bar area to the upstart was also an issue. There was a foul smell that hit you when you entered the area; as the restaurant toilets seemed to adjoin that area we assumed a leaky waste pipe of some description coupled with a disinfectant; it turned my stomach. The icing on the cake was the on site restaurant. We had the poppadoms starter with mango chutney etc. I got a piece of glass in the chutney. It wasn’t (thankfully) sharp. The waitress removed the reminder of the dish and went out to the kitchen. She brought a replacement and as the meal continued, two chefs appeared at various points, but nobody came over to apologise or address the issue. The meal was ultimately spoilt as I was anxious for the rest of it that there might be more and was disappointed that the chef didn’t think the issue worthy of a comment. The staff were very friendly and nice, but I would not recommend this hotel or restaurant based on our experience and feel it is very overpriced for what it is.

We are new business in a 19th Century Estate House which has been recently refurbished throughout. Modernised but still keeping the old characteristics we have 2 large en-suite bedrooms 1 of which can become a twin room both can add a small single bed, each come with flat screen tv and satellite channels and also Tea/Coffee making Facilities. We are ideally situated in a small village called Mardy adjacent to The Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons Trekkers and Mountain Bikers delights all within a stones throw. We are a family run Guest House and look forward to meeting people from all over the World.
Very comfortable stay: warm, clean and cosy. Hosts were perfect and very friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast. Perfect location for exploring the Brecon Beacons and Abergavenny. Safe off road parking was available for 2 large minibus vehicles.

The Abergavenny Hotel offers a quality overnight guest room experience. A simple design led product comprising of comfort, convenience and calm. Providing friendly, personal and unpretentious service. The Abergavenny Hotel is within easy access to Abergavenny Train Station.
Stayed in this hotel on a long weekend. It was last minute booking but turned out to be a great choice. Amazing interiors when you enter and comfy rooms. Very close to town center. Hotel Manager was very kind and helpful in offering us breakfast on the first day which was not even in our plan and she gave us handwritten directions to places to visit in Abergavenny. Breakfast was continental and can make out it was the best ingredients used.

We are a family run business on a working dairy farm. We are about 1 1/2 -2 miles from the market town of Abergavenny. We are on the edge of the national park and we have beautiful mountains around us and there is the river Usk running around the outskirts of our land. The is plenty to do if you want walking, cycling or if you just want a nice quiet break this is the place for you.
I first visited Hardwick Farm as a child, on my return 20 years later I am once again super impressed. This charming farm sits beside the idyllic Blorenge, with the Usk River and lovely Abergavenny town nearby (which includes lots of interesting places to visit and eat/drink). The host (Carole) gives all guests us a very warm welcome, she is super friendly and exceptionally helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable with a traditional feel. After a good night's sleep a big treat is the tradditonal breakfast which includes great options for vegetarian and those wishing to be healthly. Overall, Hardwick Farm is an absolute gem, it comes highly recommended and is the perfect get away location in the heart of South Wales.

This is the best guest house I have ever stayed at and definitely the friendliest. The host goes out of his way to make all guests happy. You can have what you want for breakfast and it is superbly cooked with whatever sized portions you want. A fresh fruit platter every morning. Paul's motto is My House Is Your House and he also supplied us with lots of beers. Great host great place to stay.
