Twenty-one slate covered pools with hot and cold thermal water in Chile's lake district.
Amazing architecture and simplicity integrated completely with the most amazing nature! The almost 1.5h drive is totally worth it, just make sure you have enough time to relax and explore different springs and water temperatures. You only need your swim suit and flip flops, anything else you may need, towels, locker key etc they provide you there, while the facilities / changing rooms etc are very clean and tidy. The evening time would be also amazing! And if the weather is cloudy, event better!

Puritama Hot Springs is a series of eight large pools of geothermal spring water located at the bottom of a canyon in the Atacama Desert, within a close driving distance from San Pedro De Atacama. One feels relaxed and refreshed after one takes a dip in one of the natural pools. Certainly worth visiting for those who seek some relaxation in the midst of several hectic activities revolving around San Pedro De Atacama.

This was worth the 80 km drive out of San Pedro! First experiencing a live geothermic site... listening to the boiling water all around you, breathing the sulfuric air (not too nice) and discovering the many colors of the geysers landscapes. The place also offered a natural pool, at 30+ degrees Celsius, which was unexpected and a great surprise! Great bath / thermes experience. Be prepared for the 4300 m altitude.

Don't let the scary reports of a rough road deter you. We drove up easily. These are the cheapest and most natural hot springs in the area. Very basic accommodations, basically some simple structures to give you privacy to change and cubicles at every pool to put your stuff in while you soak. There are 8 pools of varying temperatures.

The place is perfect to enjoy the marvelous properties of the hot spring waters and it is around 40 min. from Pucon by a paved road. We went on a rainy day and we have a great time. The "Termas" had available 4 small indoors pools with a calm and inviting ambient, with chairs around the pools. They had 1 covered outdoor pool and 1 outdoor, you have lounges and chairs where to seat listening the sound of the current of a small river and looking the mountains. The pools temperature were 80F. I got a bath in the cold river which I found so invigorating even with the rain. But you could get the cold showers too.BTW I suggest to bring water shoes for entering the river due the river rocks. I strongly advice you to don't miss the trail and stroll a little bit , you won't regret it. They have an spa too, for those who want to de-stress completely. My son was really happy with his deep tissue massage. The facilities and pools were very clean. The restaurant is good with a decent menu and food is good.People who work there were really friendly.
