Free banana pancakes every morning and good activity opportunities. Absolutely made my Gili T experience and made awesome like- minded some friends for life there! You must stay here if your after an even mix of chill and fun on Gili T! ❤️

Begadang means "To Stay Up All Night Talking" in Indonesian. Come join us on the Sunset side of beautiful Gili Air for a swim in our unique mushroom pool and drink in our bar. We are just 1 minute walk to the beach where the sun sets. We care deeply about using natural building materials, so all our buildings are made only with wood, bamboo and stone.

Reviewed By Nathalie9307We initially chose Begadang as a hotel, because it was the cheapest option on the island on Airbnb. Turns out all the long term expats come here, because its just an amazing, chill and social place to hang out. The food is so good that I had troubles convincing myself to explore other restaurants on the island. I can honestly recommend Begadang as a hotel and a restaurant.

We're brand new accomodation located in Jalan Kepiting , based perfectly in best area in Gili Trawangan, and it's mean we're an accommodation that near enough to the beach for party but far enough to sleep well in the night.

Reviewed By Champagne28It was a good stay. The place is a little claustrophobic but the room was organized, clean and cool with AC. Walls were thin... I could hear every word of my neighbor’s phone conversation (which he had on speaker) at 11:30 pm. Breakfast was excellent! One if the best I’ve had. Drinking water refills only available from 11 pm to 11 am... Weird. There were signs in the bathroom that read “Free Toilet Flushing Classes”. I have a free class too, it’s called “How To Make Sure Your Guests Always Have Toilet Paper!”

We manage to indulge our guests by 24 hours free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, free coffee free tea, free snack bites, we also prepare towel and hanger, umbrellas for our guests. In this authentic traditional hostel, you can relax in three must feel facilities: coffee corner, swimming pool, and Buana Resto Breakfast.
Beautiful place, great atmosphere
Reviewed By janas658We’ve been staying at Gili Buana Hostel for two nights in a private room. Right now the whole island is rather quiet, but you can tell that this place is absolute magic once filled with people again :-) it is very clean, beds are comfortable, there is a pool and even a volleyball field, and plenty of space to relax or sit together with friends. Also plenty of space to put your stuff when using the shared bathrooms and working AC ? The owners are really nice and friendly people too, always taking the time to chat with us and good to ask for advice what to do/where to go/etc. totally recommend (and hopefully will be back one day)! (Gili Air is such a beautiful place in general btw, like paradise)

Wouldnt return
Reviewed By DanP607Taken me awhile to write this review. We checked in expecting a no frills stay, which was as expected: basic bungalow, just a bed and mosquito net and fan. Shared bathroom. Ok facilitys. Unfortunately our bungalow was pretty dirty and dusty, needed a good wash out! A few hours after checking in my partner became very poorly. Not good for a shared bathroom experience and definitely not good for other travellers. We discussed with the staff and got an immediate, no refund, we charge you all 3 nights. Despite the risk of passing the problem to other travellers and against the policy of the website i booked through. We made the decision to book elsewhere as not fair on us or other guests. I eventually got a refund for the other 2 nights but only after extensive polite statement of the facts of the policy of the booking we had made. I never asked for a refund of the first night (despite beinf there for a total of 4 hours and leaving due to an unprecedented issue and frankly doing them and their other guests a favour) but still had to fight to make them honour their policy. Ultimately my impression of this place was they didnt care about their guests and would happily have let someone be very ill in their toilets and risk spreading infection around. 3 hours after staff had been alerted I had not see anyone go near cleaning the shared toilets... Avoid I cant place a review where i book this as the manager made me cancel my booking in order to refund me 2 nights thus why this is here.

Choose a Queen fan room, Queen Air-con room, Triple AC Room or Large Family Room. Great for group bookings! The lounge is an indoor/outdoor sofas & beanbag haven with fairy lights & pillows. Great for meeting people & falling in love with Gili Trawangan life :)

Best guesthouse in Mataram hands down
Reviewed By A7037LGchrishI stayed at Dewi Sri Guesthouse just before it was closed due to the corona craziness and could not have asked for a better place to stay. It's run by Chris and Dewi, an Australian guy and his Indonesian wife and what they have created here in a very short time is nothing short of remarkable. They are supported by Dewi's family who don't speak alot of English but go out of their way to make you feel part of their family. The bedrooms have TV, ac and comfortable beds, the bathrooms are spotless and offer a choice of Indonesian wash tub and western shower, both with hot and cold water. The inside living area is stylish yet casual with comfy sofas terazzo tiled floors, french doors leading to an outdoor terrace and solid timber dining table. There are actually two leafy courtyard areas both with bluetooth speakers and good wifi throughout. And the best news is they are building a swimming pool. This guesthouse is conveniently close to the Immigration Office and a street food strip that offers a wide range of Indonesian street food at amazingly cheap prices. For myself, I was just as happy to eat Dewi's aunts home cooked food and think about my next stay with these lovely people, in this delightful environment and the soon to be completed swimming pool.

Reviewed By melissajohnston96Great hostel overall for the price! My friend and I ended up staying here for two weeks at this hostel while scuba diving. Rooms were basic, but had what you need. Air conditioning was good. Rooms and bed sheets were cleaned daily. Huge storage cubbies with lockers under the beds. En suite washrooms were great. Will say that the wifi was horrible, ended up using data the whole time. And the outlets in the rooms didn’t work most of the time. But, these seem to be common issues with other hostels on the island because the power goes out somewhat often. The staff were really kind! Shout out to Dia who makes great breakfast (pancakes and omelettes) every morning. Nice garden with hammocks. Very good location (close to ferry dock and lots of restaurants and dives shops). Thank you!
