The village cluster of Ubud is the ideal place to try a famed Balinese massage and soak up the ambiance of one of Asia’s top spa destinations. Acupressure, reflexology, stretching and aromatherapy star in the island's distinctively firm massage treatments. Ubud is also the vivacious center of Bali’s arts scene, home to a small treasure trove of museums and galleries. Monkey around at nearby nature reserve Monkey Forest Park, home to hundreds of mischievous long-tailed macaques. Don’t miss the valley of tomb cloisters at Gunung Kawi.

For one night it was okay, little bit of both worlds. It was a quiet place with a lot of greenery and the pool is nice. The room that we were in was room 9. The bed had yellow stains in the sheets. Water from the shower was draining on the floor.

We stayed here for 3 nights while exploring ubud. The location is perfect as it’s right in town and a 5 minute walk away from monkey forest. The bungalows themselves are basic but clean and perfectly good enough for a few days. We had breakfast each morning which was lovely served to our room. There’s also a nice little pool but we never got the chance to use it as we was so busy. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in ubud.

We absolutely loved our stay in our glamping tent, in the beautiful, cool, lush, tropical garden at Ubud Tropical! The pool & garden were in excellent condition, as was the communal kitchen & lounge area. The staff were friendly, & Putu manager was very helpful. It it quite a walk to the centre of Ubud, but we did it every day. But next time we stay at Ubud Tropical, we will rent a scooter. The glamping tent could have done with some hooks to hang clothes, bedside lights & new, blackout curtains on the little windows. But these were all minor. We booked for 2 nights, & then booked for 2 more!

I booked a bed in a mixed dorm before Black Friday and paid only 3 eur. I think that is the actual worth! Regular proce for 9 eur..not sure if it is worth it. Honestly. The stuff is nice and kind, but the palce is.to be shared with the family. Beds are ok, buy bathrom would need a serious clean up. I was there 2 nights exploring the city all day, so was there only to sleep and shower. In the upper floor,, the shower was ok. The cut of electricity happened both days for ca 1,5 hour, no reason. The breakfast was tasty, pancake and coffee. So all in all I would say..if not too picky, go for it. But honestly I think you can find better for just a little extra money.

Gusti and Sari run this lovely hostel just off the main drag in Ubud. The rooms are clean - our 8 bed female dorm had a massive clean bathroom and decent mattresses. There are lockers free of charge, and breakfast included if you so choose. Order the Balinese breakfast the day before to enjoy a local breakfast - I ate sticky rice with coconut milk and fresh fruit salad with coffee. Great value. I would recommend to anyone. 5 minute walk from Jl Rayan Ubud. Scooters available for 50,000 a day.

You are entering a place of beauty, peace and comfort. Ubud, the centre of art and culture of Bali welcomes you, and for complete experience we invite you come to Nick's Pension. A great deal in the middle of Ubud Just off Monkey Forest Road in Ubud. Around 10 minutes walk to Ubud Center / Market. Approximately one hours drive from Bali International Airport.
The Indonesia style house caught my eye at first sight. Nice garden, pool and room decoration, except air-conditioner noise and cold water.Besides, the banana pancake tasted good. Not a good place for luxury trip but a good experience to learn about Indonesia life.

Stay where the monkey god stay at NamaStay. NamaStay offers comfy beds in our Superior Rooms, Dorms, and Camping Tents. We are located not far from Central Ubud, where everything happens-cultural events, cute little shops, cafes, places of interests, everything. You might spot Nama jumps from one branch to another on the way back to our hostel after a night out.
The staff at Namastay are fantastic. Maney was so friendly and helpful, he booked our boat and taxi transfers to Gilly T and woke up early to help us with our bags. The whole hostel has a very clean and modern feel. We had a private room, which comes with a TV with Netflix, which we took advantage of. We really enjoyed our stay here, friendly staff, clean, fun atmosphere and comfortable. Would deffinatly stay here again.

We went to eat at this place in the afternoon , cool place friendly staff . I think they were preparing a live for the night or something like that , the woman that was singing was AMAZING!!! I really enjoyed my lunch with her singing , she was giving a very beautiful vibe and joy in the place ! The food was very tasty , not expensive as I remembered , reasonable prices . Worth the visit !

The hotel was fine for a short stay, but we made a mistake by booking 7 nights and trying to work from the hotel on our laptops. The internet was very poor. Even though Esther kindly enough moved us to a room closer to the router, it was still so weak and unreliable that we spent most of the week in cafes. I cannot recommend it for digital nomads. The rooms, though small, were clean and well kept. The breakfast was good enough. I do want to mention the staff. They did a good job and always provided us with what we needed, but I think a certain level of personality was missing in all of them. Maybe they're just young, but when we first arrived (coming from a homestay with a Balinese family) it didn't feel like we were welcomed there. There were 4-5 young people staring at us like they've seen a ghost and one of them trying to communicate that they offer tours. It was just a tad bit awkward, but not a deal breaker. There was also a bit more of a language barrier with this staff than at most I've experienced.

Brief background for context. Traveling South East Asia as a couple (30 years old) on a budget of $100(US) per day ($700 per week) Irish and Canadian, accountants in the Caribbean in a previous time. Grew up as a scout so no stranger to back packing. Arrived on a Sunday, only one staff working with poor english, not an issue. Check in is manual entering all your information onto a log book (data protection out the window should the book be stolen) We pay $1 as a key deposit and get handed a padlock, strange have been traveling around this area 5 weeks now and this is a first. Room has a smell or mold or dampness, shower handle has no holder, aircon works, missing a pillow case for one of the pillows revealing that stained under cover we all would see at home only its some one else's stain not your own. A pull back of the covers reveals a few spiders roaming around and some droppings belonging to some small animal not really sure what. Its origin, the rarely cleaned headboard which was full of dust cobwebs and the rest of the spiders family. We explained to the sole staff member who was very apologetic and understanding and asked for a refund. We have to go through our booking agency. So we do and he answers the phone the first time and assumes to speak no English. The second time stated we must wait for a manager to come in the next day. Still waiting the refund. We were happy to cover the cost of 1 nights stay as we had booked the room for that night and fair is fair. In context with the rest of Indonesia and Bali in general this was an outlier in terms of service and standards. We walked 15 seconds down the road and paid $10 dollars more a night for a resort style hotel with 2 pools and a deluxe room including balcony, for 10 dollars more. Before considering to book I would implore the customer to really look at the photos posted and the quality of the floors, walls, bathroom and bedding as $10 dollars more a night made a huge difference.
