A great campsite. Here, a lot of thought has gone into offering especially young families a pleasant and easy stay while camping. You can cook inside and there is a common area where you can eat during bad weather. But especially the spacious family bathrooms are a godsend, 2 showers, baby bath, sink and a toilet in one bathroom. Very clean at the park.

Sleep in a rural setting in the middle of fairytale Odense! Only two kilometers from the center of H. C. Andersen's birthplace and eight minutes drive from the motorway you will find Danhostel Odense Kragsbjerggaard. The hostel is housed in an old manor house, originally built in 1747 and has since been renovated and modernized several times. However, the charm is preserved and if you like the combination of city life and great outdoors, Danhostel Odense Kragsbjerggaard is the perfect place to stay.
I have nothing but the highest praise for the new owners, staff, and facilities at Kragsbjerggaard. I called in late for a last-minute room and received gold star treatment. Co-owner Kate was so friendly and accommodating, as well as the other staff. The room was very clean and comfortable, as were all the common areas. The breakfast was quintessential Danish: very pleasing to the eye and delicious. It is a lovely facility and the new owners have done a wonderful job of restoring and updating this beautiful site. It is convenient to downtown Odense and yet very quiet and accessible to the countryside. If you want a great experience in Danish culture, hospitality, and comfort, I can recommend no place better than this. If I return to Odense in the future, which I would love to do, I will definitely stay at Kragsbjerggaard. I highly recommend Kragsbjerggaard to individual travelers, families, organizations looking for a wonderful meeting facility, and businesses looking for a comfortable place for their traveling representatives to stay.

First, the good: friendly staff, location about a five-minute walk from the centre of Ribe, and fast WiFi. Also, if we had been traveling with kids, then our experience would likely be different because the hostel had some fantastic options for families, including a playroom with a lot of toys and a room with a climbing wall and other activities that would be fun for older kids. There is also, at least on the weekends, parking that is free across the street (assuming you can find a spot). If you're young and used to hostels are traveling with kids, then this is probably a great option! But, if you are in your thirties and grouchy when you don't get a good night's sleep like us, then maybe pass on this place! Ribe is incredibly popular, and you might, like us, face the choice of either not staying in Ribe or taking the only room you can find at this hostel. If you are in doubt, don't stay in Ribe because I will tell you what we know now that we wish we'd known before: Ribe is very small, and you can see everything in a few hours, unless you want to go to both museums. Even then, if you arrived by 9 or 10, you could easily see all you want to see of Ribe and drive to another town to sleep. On why this hostel was not a great option for a couple not used to hostels: Our private room felt a lot like a college dorm, with painted brick walls and metal bunk beds. You have to pay an extra 75DKK per person if you want sheets and a towel--all told, we paid about 110 euro for the room, which felt like a lot for a really uncomfortable night. You can hear people pass by in the hallway. There is of course no air conditioning, so it was quite hot. The windows faced out to a courtyard where people were hanging out, which was loud. Even if we'd wanted to complain, there was no one to complain to because as far as we could see, the hostel has no staff on site after 8 pm. And the curtains were thin and didn't block either the light from the courtyard or, when it started to rise, the sun. Breakfast was included but pretty basic. If you are not used to staying in hostels, then you will probably share our experience, which is that we would have preferred to get a nicer room in a proper hotel for the same money in a smaller town down the road.

Stayed at the Danhostel Grindsted for one night in May 2022. The accommodation itself is in a great location near to the bus station and a short walk from shops and supermarkets. This is particularly useful if you're visiting Billund but be aware this is a 20 minute bus journey or expensive taxi ride away. The rooms are dorm style and private, there is a bathroom with a shower and sink, although mine didn't have any soap (you'll need to bring your own) and the shower was really not much use at all. It's really important to note that bed linen and towels are NOT included in the price and quite an expensive extra if you fully occupy the room. You can bring your own though if you wish. The linen I had was a little soiled however the reception is not manned so you can't speak to anyone about it in person. If you open a second pack they will ensure you are charged for it, so bear this in mind. A few other things to note is that there was a gap you can see through around the windows (ok when I visited but will let a draught through in winter I guess), the electric socket was broken and not working and you must clean your room yourself before departing, empty the bin, etc or they might charge you for that too. Overall I am disappointed with the accommodation and when I complained a week after departing was told that they "cannot accept complaints almost 10 days after check in". So not great customer service.

Well, we had our car break down so we coasted to this quiet, typically Danish Hostel. The price per couple is around $80 dollars a night which, for a hostel is a little bit much. It's almost empty and the halls are ghostlike, but I guess in the summer must be livelier than October. They have camping and nice common areas. The kitchen is very very simple and any AirBnb will be more pleasant. The charge extra for everything: Breakfast, Laundry and even Bedding ($6 dollars for sheets!) I guess is a Scandinavian thing but, by the end of the day you end up paying over a hundred dollars a night. Use in emergency only, I share a photo of the bed.

Danhostel Odense City is situated in the former Park Hotel next to Odense Banegårds Center, with views of Kongens Have. There are bus connections to all of Odense’s attractions, sports facilities, educational institutions, etc., several times an hour. There are trains to Copenhagen and Århus every half hour. Odense Danhostel City has 4 storeys with lift. There are 39 rooms with 2, 3, 4 and 5 beds. All rooms have en-suite shower and toilet.
5/5 stars! Great customer service and super friendly staff. Bright and clean rooms that are a decent size. The location is perfect right next to the train station. I would highly recommend and I’ll come back.

Not far from the North Sea and with a view of Nymindegab Plantage is Lindvig. Lindvig's central location in West Jutland means that we are surrounded by elongated beaches, pristine heaths, lush meadows and beautiful forests. With us, there is a guarantee of magnificent outdoor and cultural experiences, all year round. With warm-hearted hospitality, we offer our holiday guests a cozy stay with a focus on tranquility, comfort, sustainability and outdoor life. Our 27 modern rooms and cabins all have private shower and toilet as well as a small terrace. The main building's stylish décor with tall, light wood panels, striped wallpaper and beautiful decorations brings to mind a delicious seaside hotel with a warm and inviting breakfast café and a cozy common room with billiards, piano and television. An affiliated nature guide offers a wealth of trips in the North Sea Nature Park, and a wide range of activities can be found in the area within a few minutes drive by bike or car.
Very personal service, great rooms, cozy atmosphere and great breakfast. We came by recommendation and hereby pass that on. Right on the bike trail for the famous round Ringkøbing Fjord route. Great minigolf

This was probably the 3rd or 4th time I stayed here. It is a fairly simple hotel/hostel but clean and nice. You get the material to make your own bed. You can choose to have breakfast and it is very good. For me, the location was perfect as I visited friends about 300 m away. It is an 11 minutes´ walk from the train station.
