This hotel felt like it was family run. The young gentleman at the front desk Mr Liu was very helpful and friendly and more than not went out of his way to help us and do note this hotel has no elevators so he was helping us lug our heavy bags up the stairs! Simple comfort with country style furnishings. Do note the hotel do have a few mosquitoes when we arrived in our room but they do have mosquito nets so not exactly sure how they came in. Their is not central heating but the beds are electric blankets for your stays during winter which was more than suffice when we stayed there in late December. The hotel boasts of the view of the famous landmark Old England Manor and you can take wonderful pictures just outside in the garden. Breakfast is simple with porridge and usual Taiwanese condiments although be early for breakfast as sometimes given the limited space it is hard to get a table if you have a big group. Felt the bathrooms were a bit dated and would have loved a bench or shelf just to hold our shampoo and shower gel etc, we ended up placing those items on the window sill. The mattresses were a bit too soft for my liking but I am usually one who prefers a very firm Japanese/tatami like mattress. If you're looking for luxury 4-5 star hotel this won't be a place for you as it is a family run hotel with simple comforts but top notch services overcomes what it lacks in other areas.

My second trip to Taiwan after 20 years and I wondered why I waited so long to revisit. Nita and Maggie were just amazing right from the start before the trip with the email commutation. Dinner was simple, nice and very adequate with a small price tag. Our room 101 was huge. This place is highly recommended!

Clean and decent budget homestay. Each room with a balcony with mountain view. Simple and delicious breakfast provided. Friendly caretaker. Many food and fruit stalls just outside the main road. Short distance about 30m but has to walk up the slope to the main road. Swiss Garden is about 10min walk.

The room is cosy and big. The tv provided have got many channels and sure keep you entertained. Bed in general is comfy and warm. They do provide room slippers that is enough for me. Breakfast and dinner are provided- edible though not fantastic. Enough to fill my stomach. Awesome view at door step for ya to catch the moon and stars clearly.

I wish I can write more but seriously this place is out of this world. The wooden cabin is really nice. We woke up to an amazing view each morning. The place is clean and tidy. We didn’t use the kitchen but seriously, it’s really comfortable but cool at night. They have a small heater and heated mattresses and that was sufficient. Breakfast was simple yet fresh. Will return again

Is more like a old resort. Room is 5mins walk from the main lobby. Many steps up and down so is difficult to move your luggage there. Lock of the door is very traditional key type, don't really feel safe. Toilet paper must be thrown into dustbin after use, cannot directly throw into the toilet bowl. Warmer blanket provided. Went there in January, was raining whole day and night. Hotel serve dinner for a certain price. Price abit on the ex side maybe is up on the mountain.

Beautiful Resort decorated with Venice architecture, the room are really nice and the building is amazing. We spent 2 night in the resort to relax ourselves. The air in the morning is fresh, we really enjoyed it.
