We are located in one of the first houses built in Salento, which has been completely renewed. The house has views to the mountains and it is only 400 meters from the Main Square and Calle Real. We are the biggest hostel in Salento with accommodation for 90 guests, big gardens, breakfast included, bar with mountain views, dormitories with inside bathroom and private rooms with views to the mountains. At the hostel, we have a Tourist Agency where you will be able to hire different activities, like trekking to the national park of the Nevados, horse riding and coffee tours. Among other facilities, we also include: Wifi, totally equipped kitchen, computers area, game zone and several activities that we organize weekly for your entertainment (dance classes, coffee courses, yoga classes, live music, etc.) Breakfast is free!

Words and photos cannot describe the tranquility here. Easy access to Salento yet far enough away from the traffic and noise. Competitively priced, breakfast included, great personal service.

Reviewed By E833XHrenemAt first I did not know what to expect but once I crossed the gate everything felt good. This is a very unique place. The gardens, the river, the food, the people, etc. I stayed two nights and I had one of the best sleeps of my entire trip. I cant wait to return to Colombia and stay here again. Reviewed By SR897This was one of the cutest guest houses I’ve stayed in, the rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful too. Location is the best, right in the main plaza of the town, opposite the Willy jeep/taxi stand. I had a room at the back and it was very quiet and had nice views. There’s even a communal kitchen where you can cook, also a fridge and filtered drinking water. Lots of nice communal space, including a lovely terrace. I don’t often write reviews but I feel this place deserves to be shared, it’s excellent, and I’m a seasoned traveler and quite fussy about where I stay!

Reviewed By ThomasAbendrothThis finca is situated close to the town of montenegro which is a good spot to travel to Parque de Café, Panaca and Salento (however with a car). Its rooms are spacious and clean and have a distinct touch (a Finca). We used its swimming pool as well as the Jacuzi and had a room with a shared bathroom. We can recommend the hotel due to the hospitalitiy of its owners. Melanie and David were super hospitable and the value for money is impeccable. Note: it is in a rural area, hence some bugs are flying around at night, but as they say in Panaca: "Sin campo no hay ciudad"

Olga was amazing and helped us with what we needed, including adding more nights with no problem. There are good laundry services in the hostel. In addition to everything a great price!

The house has a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains and valleys along with ample of communal space for one to enjoy, be with a group of friends enjoying a nice cup of freshly brewed coffee or just on your own reading a book.

The town was beautiful, the food was great, but the accommodations really made it all worthwhile. It was clean, the staff was super helpful and nice, thank you for the balcony overlooking the mountains was breathtaking. The hammocks, the yoga mats, everything really was amazing. The breakfast for great. I would stay here again you have to go

Reviewed By Thetinytraveller2022My stay at Hotel La Floresta was excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the mountain views are amazing. But what was particularly great was the staff. The staff were very friendly and after I arrived the next morning 12 hours later than originally planned due to chaotic traffic , my travel dates were rescheduled by one day easily and free of charge. Clear recommendation.

Reviewed By Amandas77777I met someone who was completely covered in bed bug bites from this hostel. They keep on putting people in the beds, after disinfecting but the same day. Poor travelers :-(. Hopefully this review helps others from experiencing the same. Take care.

Awful, totally awful
Reviewed By jonathanS303So many problems! 1. It is situated next to a kind of discotheque to keep you awake on saturday until 1:30 am. Then hundreds of cocks start crowing at 05:30, and there is a noisy road outside. 2. The internet doesnt work 3. There is mould on the ceiling 4. The bathroom window doesnt close properly, so it is cold (noisier!) and mosquitos get in. 5. The hot water in the shower runs out after one shower. 6. They add 5% to your bill if you pay by credit-card not cash. 7. You have to pay in advance when you arrive. (I should have been suspicious!) 8. Everything in the hotel is of the cheapest quality possible (towels, toiletry, toilet seat, sheets). The only good thing was that, having had to pay for 2 days on arrival, I was able to get the money back for the second day as with all these problems there was no way we would sleep there the second night!
