First of all this hotel , yes this is a 3,5 star hotel in all aspects , is making a grave mistake. It lets dirty cheapy arrogant backpackers and cyclists in for 10 euros only with all the negative consequences. Tip for Xristo. Make the 5 bed a 3 bed and charge double, its worth it! Staff: of very high level for BG standards expect for the Moldovan girl who was rude to a customer twice her age. Cleanliness is excellent. Location : for Kings! Tip for Xristo number 2: Repair wooden stairs ASAP. Its such a shame that mouldy cold "hostels" with greedy , stingy owners in the dirty and noisy downtown charge as much money as this beauty which travels you back in time for free almost! Thanks for wonderful hospitality my friends. Will be back. Spiro Greece

Stayed here for 2 nights and was very pleasantly surprised. I had an extremely quiet room with toilet and shower. I received a welcome greeting on arrival and all necessary information and details for my stay. A bit obscure to find but we'll signed and GPS coordinates are precise. Clean, quiet, comfortable and efficient. Will definitely stay next time I'm in Plovdiv.

I rang the hotel prior booking with a simple question. The manager or whoever is in charge told me that he cannot be bothered to talk to me even and put the phone down. Very ugly and unprofessional . Left me with a negative mood for the day. I would avoid that place.

Although it was slightly complicated with door codes, contactless check-in, Angel's instructions were clear, so it was a lot easier than it at first appeared. Angel is an angel. He pops round to clear the decks in the afternoon. (There are a few messy people who don't clean up. I'm hardly perfect myself, but I try to be reasonably tidy.) But what a smashing wee hostel. Cosmopolitan community atmosphere, Scots, English, Ukrainian, Swiss, Czech, French, Belgian, Argentine, German, Korean Texan(!). Sharing stories, food & beer & wine, playing chess, music. I found it so hard to leave. Hostel California. Plovdiv's an interesting atmospheric city, and a visit to Bachkovo monastery was an easy grand day out. Just in case the hostel's full, there's Pijama House just along the road: more privacy I guess without the late laughter & snoring. Not much dearer. All amazing value, fun & comfort. WiFi was a bit hit or miss at times, as was warm water, but not grumbling: Pijama Hostel is cheap & very cheerful. Mnogo Blagodarya, Merci Monsieur Angel. Wonderful memorable times.

Hostel Central Station Plovdiv is delighted to welcome guests from all over the world. It is located in the building of the central railway station in Plovdiv. Here you will find mixed room with 4 single beds each. The bathrooms are on the same floor - 1 for ladies, 1 for men. The hostel has a great kitchen, which is equipped with refrigerator, microwave, TV and a big terrace.
We decided to experience the two nights of our stay in Plovdiv at the Hostel Central Station. It is quite a special feeling to stay there, because you are at the same time in a station with the whole train life during the whole night, and at a hostel. In many ways it reminded me of my time in the army (huge dormitories with the bare essentials). The location is perfect whan you are interconnecting between trains - as we did. The rooms (private one, three beds) with shared bathrooms were squeaky clean. Everything in the facilities was very practical. There is a huge smoking balcony where you can sip your drink or coffe, have your picnic, etc. Also, staff is there 24/24 on spot. The first night was very calm, but the second night much noisier : a group of young travellers keep roaming through the premises. The staff had to interveine to stop the inconvenience - they should be stricter right on the outset about the respect of night life regulations. All in all I recommend for the experience!

I spend a week in Velin’s hostel and I really enjoyed it. The hostel is clean and relatively small so it’s easy to get to know everyone who stays here. Velin is a very easy going and helpful host. He takes his guests to beautiful places, I would definitely recommend booking a tour with him. Plovdiv is an amazing city to spend more than just one day! There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops which are only a 10 minutes walk away (Kapana / Old Town). Thanks Velin!

+Location of course! Big room with a view. High enough for the mosquitos to reach. -The bathroom could be cleaner, the water pressure is low. No air-condition in the room, just an electric fan, very dirty bed mattress. The hostel right across is a bar too which plays music very loud although it is not allowed.

East gate Guest rooms is a five minute walk from the Old Town of Plovdiv and offers free Wi-Fi access and free public parking. In the same building there is a grocery store. The rooms are functionally furnished. There is a terrace, a total bathroom with shower. Common living room with TV. The city center is a ten minute walk. International Fair Plovdiv is 400 meters.

From check in to food, everything fantastic staff couldn't do any more to help, Even at breakfast my son didn't fancy anything so tried offering stuff not listed Ie toast, which was great service, all spoke with very good English. Bar prices very cheap. Large room with 3 bed and as requested with a extra bed added free of charge i must add. Very quest even tho placed on a busy ring road. Highly Recommended
