The near otherworldly Himalayan kingdom of Nepal can trace its history back to the 7th century and the arrival of Kirati sheepherders. Today, misty temples perch on rugged ridges, monasteries peer over deep valleys, faded by centuries, and Kathmandu's Old City brims with ancient Buddhist temples and ornate palaces.

Nameste!! Bag packer's Lodge is centrally located in the heart of thamel, kathmandu's main tourist area. we are surrounded by shops, good restaurant & great entertainment all within walking distance from our hotel. taxi and car facilities are available should you want to venture further a field. travel & trekking agent are easily accessible. This is typical budget type hotel in thamel. We are proud to be honour, cheap and clean hotel with friendly atmosphere in kathmandu.
Krishna and his staff will make your time in Kathmandu easy and fun. Krishna is both a tremendous host and an adept local fixer. Their customer service is better and far more friendly than that of the more expensive Thamel hotels. Bag Packers is a four-story building with clean rooms and plenty of hot water. On the roof there is a very clean restaurant with excellent dumplings, beer, and coffee. No hotel in Thamel is quiet. The streets are lively and that is what makes life here so much fun. However, Bag Packers rooms are very private and secure. Bag packers is surrounded by thamels most iconic bars, restaurants and shops. Finally, if you've never been to Kathmandu before this is the place for you. Check in, drink a beer, rest your feet, enjoy the air conditioning or the fan, get a hot shower, and ask Krishna's advice concerning your business in Nepal. You are in good hands. I also posted this review on Google. I made a TripAdvisor account to also post it here. That's how good our stay was.

I visited Nepalaya Eco Hostel with my Brazilian friend. The lockdown was implemented in Nepal. We gathered more friends at this hostel and the owner gave us discounts. We had to pay the local price at this hostel during the lockdown which helped us to save money during such a tough situation in Nepal. The owner is the kindest man in Pokhara and is a great representative for Magar people. He proves that Magar people are the kindest native in Pokhara. Since then whenever I visit Pokhara, I visit this hostel and the owner. I can't thank him in few words. Visit it whenever you come here. I also love the garden, dog named Pepe who often recognises me and every staffs working here. My favourite place for 35 days was it's lobby where you will get many favourite books. I read many books here and became a fan of Paul Coelho and spent a movie night. Great memories:).

Forest Lake is well positioned, where the Phewa Lake is only about 15 meters far. Means, you get to enjoy marvelous beauty of the lake while staying at our luxurious yet affordable hostel. Our main aim is to give you complete relaxation, also giving you atmosphere where guest can meet fellow travelers and share their trekking stories and advices.
The place is very well located on the lake side offering a beautiful view on the lake. It's super close to lots of bars and restaurants. The place and the rooms are very clean, tidy and features everything you might need (clean sheets, great pillow, electrical outlet, free filtered water). The bedding was so confortable. All the staff members were super kind and welcoming. They were very helpful, giving us great tips and advices and answering all our answers in a perfect english. I highly recommend! Thank you for everything!

Fantastic lodge, excellent hospitality and service. Sunny and his family are great people and extremely welcoming. The lodge and rooms are tidy and clean. Plus the beds are very comfortble. Especially if you've been out trekking. It is a quiet place compared to Kathmandu. I look forward to covid 19 going away so I can come back.

My stay at the Kiwi Hostel was absolutely perfect. The owner and the Hostel owner are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice and cheap, good breakfast included. A lot of space to chill and to have privacy, as well as to connect with people, however you feel like (: I loved the roof top and started my days there with Yoga with a great view. I would always visit this place again and say thanks for the great time. Namaste, Jessica

Namaste!! and Welcome!! This is a home not a hotel or lodge, so feel like you are in your home and do not hesitate to ask any assistance. we will facilitate as far as possible and we want your farewell with smile in your face. Our home is 3 storey and only 2 of rooms are separated for the guests. One room with attached bathroom and another with common but separate.we all family members will welcom
Laxmi homestay is up a very steep road, as is the majority of so called budget guest houses. We paid 1000 for a very small room with tiny bathroom. The bathroom was so small you would have had to hug the pipes if you wanted a shower. Laxmi has no generator so if the power goes off you are in total darkness. It's a real shock if you have arrived from Pokhara where a better room will be half the price. Restaurants around are expensive and poor quality. Laxmi and her family though are very helpful and friendly and most guest houses around are just as expensive.
