Reviewed By Happiness24320062432We LOVED our stay here! The Hostel itself has great vibes, clean and easy to find. The staff are incredible. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. G and Gulf in particular were super friendly. They often offer to take you out in the evenings to cool spots In Koh Tao - so it’s very suitable for solo travelers as well as couples/ friends. The photo attached is when they took us out one evening to a tree house restaurant where we shared a hot pot bbq - such a fun evening! Good social space included also to meet other people, play some pool and have a beer. Would highly recommend!!

Reviewed By timgunstigHet was heel anders dan op de foto's, het was veel kleiner in het echt . De bedden zijn heel erg hard en het is totaal niet schoon. Na de eerste nacht hadden we al last van onze rug. De douches zijn ook niet echt fijn. De één is ijskoud en de ander is veel te heet. Als je uit ben gecheckt en je wilt nog even douchen dan moet je daarvoor betalen. De eigenaar is er hier extreem hardhandig in. Zodra je iets vraagt wat haar niet aanstaat, gaat ze je filmen en zeggen dat je ruzie zocht. Kortom de eigenaar gaat om met haar klanten alsof het honden zijn. Erg slecht hostel, zeker niet aan te raden!!!!

Reviewed By alexlR7255UHWARNING WARNING! Someone had gone through our bags one day when we got back to our room. Things were displaced and on further inspection we found that 5000 baht was missing!!! We had locked the door and the staff claim that they always locked the door as well which means that the person that took the money most likely has a key. We never saw who took them and the hotel management asked their staff and nobody knew either. In the process of informing the hotel management we were asked to search our bags and had to empty the entire content of our bags out on the bed IN FRONT OF the hotel staff! Extremely uncomfortable. Other than that very sketchy and uneven water heat going from freezing cold to burning within seconds. Not at all a place to recommend!

White Jail @ Koh Tao Hostel has a nice quiet atmosphere in good central location in Mea Haad only 5min walk from the pier, next to Carbar Baby Rasta, beach and night market shopping only 5 minutes away. From 1932 - 1943 there was a political prison on Koh Tao in Mae Haad Village, We build on the prisons location. Now Koh Tao is a tourist destination

Reviewed By Sboy33we had a double room rather than dorm and it was spot on with comfy bed, coffee maker and even a toaster! small terrace also - excellent maid service and guy on reception think his name was Ryan was very helpful and friendly speaking perfect english.

A week in koh Tao
Reviewed By caro vBP house is a cozy hostel in Sairi Beach, a couple blocks of the main beach . It’s sourrended by local restaurants and also eastern food . Because is not in the Main Street , you can sleep very good without noise . The space is really well clean, the AC works from early night to 11 am wich is good because it works when people is inside the room . Even when has no common spaces, they have a nice table outside like a terrace and also different chairs that you can stay and enjoy a drink or your food . Everybody is extremely nice and also the owner has a restaurant next to them and when you eat there you have a discount with the smoothies! Is next to the party and stuffs to do but not exactly in the middle center wich for me worked really good . WiFi is excellent (outside where the common space is ) plugs in everywhere and have lockers for everyone . I really enjoy my time here, I will really recommended it .

Clean place but very noisy
Reviewed By DeanbarrThe dorms are clean and the beds are comfy but it's incredibly noisy, there is usually music every night right behind the hostel which is playing loud live music till about 2am. Then you get woken up by the rooster in the garden at 8am! The owner also comes in every morning about half past 8 and turns the air on off! So unless you don't mind sleeping when it's hot you are kind of forced to get up. In a good location but I wouldn't stay here again.

Reviewed By breidysbThe beds are really confortable and clean with courtains that give you privacy. They included in the rate a completed breakfast in the restaurant from of them, that make the place really valuable for the money and the pier is just in the corner. Also offer all they long cookies, coffee and tea for free. The aircon is also pretty good for the hot weather of the island. The best sunset View form the beach near by, 2 mins walk. @breidysb

Great stay at Savage
Reviewed By tarakirbsSavage costs more than most hostels but it is definitely worth it if you want a little bit of luxury whilst on Koh Tao. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful, and the included breakfasts were good. Our private room was a little small but still very clean and the bed was so so comfy. We were upgraded to the suite as the shower was giving off a weird smell so that was so generous of the staff! The rooftop pool is lovely and the chairs around the poolside are very comfy. Yoga is a great addition even though I didn’t try it :(. Also recommend the guacamole and eggs for breakfast - delicious!
