Clean, small and cozy hostel a few minutes away from the busy kandy city centre. Nice view over the mountains of Kandy and an amazing sunrise. Free coffee and tea (freshly served in the moring). Staff and owner are super friendly and helpful in every way. Booked a day trip to Sigiriya for a fair price. Nice conversations during the ride. 10/10

This hostel is your best bet if you want to visit Kandy and stay in a very good location walking distance from bus and train station. It's clean, modern and well equipped even with kitchen if you'd like to cook. There are multiple options for cooking or shopping for food around. The hostel also offers day tours around the city which we found very interesting :) definitely recommended it to anyone!

The Blinkbonnie Inn prides itself with the best views in Kandy. You will believe it after you have your breakfast in the view-point restaurant, overlooking the whole of Kandy. All this combined with their outstanding service and traditional hospitality makes the Blinkbonnie Inn a great place to stay in Kandy. The rooms of the Blinkbonnie Inn cater for all needs and budgets. All rooms are having a view point balcony overlooking Kandy Lake, Mountains. The view point restaurant has 180' views of Kandy lake and Temple and mountain ranges. You can enjoy a lovely cup of world famous Sri Lankan tea in the mornings watching playful monkeys passing by as well as a beautiful tropical and migrating birds, a great way to begin your day. Tours can be arranged in all budget ranges. Eco and Adventure tours are available as well as cultural tours of the ancient cities and temples.
Magnificent views of the Kandy skyline, although we stayed for only one night at the Blinkbonnie Inn, the owner and his family welcomed us warmly, we were treated to a delicious home cooked meal of noodles, dhal and mouth watering mango curry. Our room was comfortable and a/c gave us a good nights sleep. We had no difficulty in travelling via car from Sigiriya, and although fuel prices have increased the Sri Lankan people continue to try and live their lives, as normal please don’t be put off by political unrest, the protests were peaceful in Colombo and we haven’t experience any unrest since. This beautiful country needs our tourism to survive after the economic challenges over the last few years.

Villa 92 is a stunning Moorish manor house which incorporates Kandyan architecture. This Heritage listed Villa maintains the old world charm with a blend of contemporary amenities to suit the modern traveler. The Villa has a wide range of rooms on offer to suit your taste and budget, ranging from comfortable large family rooms to rooms with bunk beds to cater to the backpacker looking for reasonably priced quality accommodation
An amazing place to go to if you want to stay for about 2 nights with a group of friends. Not is it only within walking distance to the Railway Station in Kandy, it is quite close to the KCC as well not to mention notable landmarks such as the Temple of the Tooth. The staff is friendly and service is superb, and the food and lodging is very well worth the reasonable price. Highly recommend if you want to hang out a few days with your friends.

The location is really good - 2 min walk from the lake in the center of the town Very welcoming and helpful staff, clean rooms(main criterion for us), ac does actually work. On arrival you're given breakfast coupons and breakfast is quite nice - right on their rooftop. Buses and outside noize weren't so penetrating so we actually had a good sleep. Overall a great place to stay in Kandy

We are located within Kandy city limits just 2.5km from the center of the city and 2km from the Railway station. We strive to offer clean comfortable rooms. Our garden is possibly the largest privately held property within the City limits. Theres plenty of bird to greet you in the morning and beautiful tropical trees to keep you cool throught the day. The silence only a private estate can offer will assure you a good nights rest so you can continue to visit what Kandy has to offer.
We visited the clove garden as a family in Sept and had a lovely time. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They accommodated all our requirements, we had some very specific dietary requirements which they were very mindful of. Would say the staff went above and beyond their call of duty. The hotel is situated in a well manicured garden surrounded by nature. Lots of interesting flora and fauna. A great place to relax away from the bustle of the city of Kandy. Would definitely return

Mixed feelings on this one. I stayed for one night with my husband, and the room itself was the most basic of all our stays ( we had a private room with en suite bathroom). The bed was literally the worst ever, so creaky and not comfortable. The bathroom was a bit ick - I've never seen so many ants in my life! I realise it's a hot country, but in our 2 weeks I hadn't had that many bugs in a room. However, it did the job and was very good value when considering the price paid. It was super sociable which one expects in hostels but this was especially so. The cooking class made it easy to get talking to people and have a laugh, but most importantly you get a good meal at the end all included in the price. Breakfast was basic but at no extra cost. The pool area is a positive for a hostel, but again it's not somewhere I'd spend a lot of time with so many bugs and a few tired loungers. However, at night they threw on some disco lights which was so fun. Overall, this place is just fine.

Best place to stay in Kandy, without a doubt. It's right at the top of the mountain and the city view is great. The value for money is great, fabulous breakfast too, rooms and common area nice and tidy. But the service is where it's really top, more friendlier people you'll struggle to meet, nothing is too much trouble for them. It's out of the hustle of the city which is nice, but a tuktuk into the town for dinner or a stroll isn't very expensive and they hotel crew can arrange it for you. Book here for your Kandy stay, you won't regret it!

Located in Rajapihilla Mawatha, a hill just off the Kandy town, Funk Bunks Kandy will be a breath of fresh air if you are not accustomed to the chaos of the city. With a restaurant, a lounge area and free wi-fi, being bored is not an option here. With various stay options suiting all kinds of travelers, be prepared to experience Kandy like a local both inside and outside the hostel with Funk Bunks
This place was really colourful. I fall in love with the wall arts and also gotta mention the hippie vibe. FB is the highest situated hostel in Kandy and the view from balcony and roof.. the best! The owner was very welcoming and helpful, he recommended me some things what to do in Kandy and what Sri Lanka can offer me at all. About the cook. Jagha, not only an excellent chef, but a man with a heart in the right place. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who looks for a nice hostel experience, because this is more than a place to stay.

Bunk planet is located in Deiyannewela, just 1.1 km from Kandy.Certain accommodations feature a sitting area for your convenience. Certain rooms include views of the mountains or city. You will find a 24-hour front desk at the property.
Great hostel for a cheap price. The beds and pods were really comfy and came with good plug sockets. The room was nice and cold already so didn't need the fan in the pod. The WiFi was also good and had no trouble with it dropping out. The balcony was also nice and had a nice view of Kandy city centre. Only a 10 minute walk to the station which was ideal and 15 to the city centre. Good hostel overall.
