We were only in Kandy a short time and this was a lovely place to spend some of it. Stunning views, great breakfast. The owner arranged a transport for us down south which was very well priced and the driver was incredibly friendly. Highly recommended.

Jaye’s was a great place to spend an evening in Kandy. It’s set up on the hill overlooking the city. Jaye and family were very hospitable - we enjoyed a great affordable dinner (charged) and breakfast (included). Rooms were clean and exactly as pictured. Included AC and bug nets (though we didn’t need the latter). Fairly large bathrooms. Would recommend to others looking for something clean, friendly, and we’ll situated.

Villa 92 is a stunning Moorish manor house which incorporates Kandyan architecture. This Heritage listed Villa maintains the old world charm with a blend of contemporary amenities to suit the modern traveler. The Villa has a wide range of rooms on offer to suit your taste and budget, ranging from comfortable large family rooms to rooms with bunk beds to cater to the backpacker looking for reasonably priced quality accommodation
An amazing place to go to if you want to stay for about 2 nights with a group of friends. Not is it only within walking distance to the Railway Station in Kandy, it is quite close to the KCC as well not to mention notable landmarks such as the Temple of the Tooth. The staff is friendly and service is superb, and the food and lodging is very well worth the reasonable price. Highly recommend if you want to hang out a few days with your friends.

This place was really colourful. I fall in love with the wall arts and also gotta mention the hippie vibe. FB is the highest situated hostel in Kandy and the view from balcony and roof.. the best! The owner was very welcoming and helpful, he recommended me some things what to do in Kandy and what Sri Lanka can offer me at all. About the cook. Jagha, not only an excellent chef, but a man with a heart in the right place. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who looks for a nice hostel experience, because this is more than a place to stay.

We spent there 3 nights and felt very well. Location: Budget hostel is outside Kandy city. Nevertheless the location is good. We had the room with balcony and enjoyed to watch the scenic landscape as well as the daily traffic jam in front of the house. A recommended restaurant is nearby (50 m), as well a medium supermarket and some smaller. Hard to find (when we have been there, there was no billboard. The Owner mentioned, to install one within the next days. TukTuk from Kandy City 250-350 Rupees. Local Bus 13 Rupees per Person (Bus to Aruppola, get out at Galkaduwa Junction; then walk 50 m) The very big room consists of two comfortable and large beds. Bathroom is very small but still okay. Hot shower, good water pressure. The owners family is super friendly and supportive. Regarding facilities: one plug socket, one hanger, chair on request. Very fair for the money we paid, but due to some circumstances we paid less than regular price. Unfortunately we have no idea about the regular price.

Mixed feelings on this one. I stayed for one night with my husband, and the room itself was the most basic of all our stays ( we had a private room with en suite bathroom). The bed was literally the worst ever, so creaky and not comfortable. The bathroom was a bit ick - I've never seen so many ants in my life! I realise it's a hot country, but in our 2 weeks I hadn't had that many bugs in a room. However, it did the job and was very good value when considering the price paid. It was super sociable which one expects in hostels but this was especially so. The cooking class made it easy to get talking to people and have a laugh, but most importantly you get a good meal at the end all included in the price. Breakfast was basic but at no extra cost. The pool area is a positive for a hostel, but again it's not somewhere I'd spend a lot of time with so many bugs and a few tired loungers. However, at night they threw on some disco lights which was so fun. Overall, this place is just fine.

Best place to stay in Kandy, without a doubt. It's right at the top of the mountain and the city view is great. The value for money is great, fabulous breakfast too, rooms and common area nice and tidy. But the service is where it's really top, more friendlier people you'll struggle to meet, nothing is too much trouble for them. It's out of the hustle of the city which is nice, but a tuktuk into the town for dinner or a stroll isn't very expensive and they hotel crew can arrange it for you. Book here for your Kandy stay, you won't regret it!
