Make the port town of Iquitos your base camp for exploring the Peruvian Amazon basin. The river and rainforest are the main attractions, of course, and once in Iquitos it's easy to book a stay at one of numerous nearby jungle lodges. Closer to town, travelers recommend visiting the market and "floating village" of Belen, seeing colorful creatures at the butterfly farm and animal rescue center, and taking a cruise on the great river.

Quiet efficiency is the keynote here. Excellent choice for travellers who may decide between economic and superior rooms-both very well appointed clean modern and comfortable. The tariff is very reasonable; the breakfast very good.Transport to and from the airport, nice welcome at reception. Away from traffic noise and contamination, happy garden (the clue is in the name). Great little swimming pool as in the pictures. All good thank you garden house /jungle house!

I was Sexualy assaulted by one of the cleaners at bora hotel. He grabed by penis firmly and pulled it, I imidietly jumped back, and singled that this was not OK. then he started sucking he's finger and gesturing that we should have sex. I was so uncomfortable that I ran down to my room, and meanwhile I could hear him following me. This is pattern that keeps happening. Other the that. The hotel is pretty nice, good internet, ok rooms and breakfast. Good value for what your paying.

Everyday woke up with a great breakfast prepared by the lady, she was really good at cooking and she prepared a glass of papaya juice without sugar for me. There were a variety of food, sometimes I got fried rice with chicken or tamales. The staffs are very friendly too, I bthink the people from the jungle area, like Loreto o San Martín, are more passionate and friendly! He taught me how to visit the attractions by local transportation. I went there during the Fiesta de San Juan but the hotel was not fully booked. Indeed I stayed solo in a 4 bed dorm and it was really comfortable. Just be prepared to meet with some insect friends, like cockroaches, but life in the Amazon as you know.

We only stayed here for one night before heading for our 5 day rainforest tour. Our room was spacious with air conditioning. Breakfast was simple. The staff was very kind and helpful. When we returned from the rainforest we asked permission to leave our luggage there until our departure in the night. Moreover, we had to print out our boarding passes, and the staff was so kind to help us with that?

Green Track Hostelis back to life after 2 year due pandemic restrictions, located in a nice residential area. It is seven blocks from the Plaza de Armas, the main square of Iquitos, we respect all sanitary protocols to prevent C-19 . We have private rooms as well as air conditioned dormitories, and a private courtyard and ROOF TERRACE. We invite our guests to use our extra large kitchen for food preparation during their stay. Wifi internet and a optional exotic/organic breakfast to all our guests. We are the gateway to the Tapiche Reserve. Discounts in accommodation after first night.
I have never written a poor review for a hostel in my 8 months of traveling South America - and I’ve stayed in some strange places but here, I felt as if I was walking on egg shells the entire visit - ending with a heated unprofessional argument. The hostel has a lot of potential but the atmosphere including staff is quite odd. Rules are posted all over the space from no smoking on the Terrance to who can use the lock boxes to what to how long and what you can cook in the kitchen. There’s also a block on Facebook/YouTube so guests don’t use too much WiFi. All tolerable but we opted to switch to a more comfortable vibe, instead of your mean estranged Great Aunt’s guest house. We had stayed 1 full night. Upon leaving another night (our early check in) was attached to our bill. We had arrived around 5am - were given a bed, followed by breakfast when we got up. I have never been offered breakfast when I checked in early but I thought it was a kind gesture. If we had been told we would have to pay, there would be no issue but we weren’t. When questioned, the owner quickly went from defensive to angry, stating check in is 11am (therefore obvious we would be charged) - listing her expenses, from breakfast to electricity (which we obviously didn’t use when sleeping) and how she expected us to stay longer (which is not something you can assume or require for good service). We stood by our point, and she told us she has been working in tourism for 20 years, inferring her superiority as well as the stupidity and audacity of our claim... quite aggressively as she continued to guilt trip us. I left extra money for breakfast and we got out of there before things got worse. My point is, when I arrive early to a hostel, i am usually given a bed free of charge. If I am going to be charged, the worker explains (in detail) the costs to me prior to making the choice for me. Her hostile reaction was incredibly unprofessional and left a poor taste in my felt as if I was walking on egg shells the entire visit - ending with a heated unprofessional argument. I have worked in customer service for 12 years and it is long enough to know, you must state charges before they are added to the bill - and you certainly shouldn’t yell at your customers. My suggestion? Avoid this hostel.

Hostel with shared bedrooms and indoor bathrooms.
Wow. Lovely place . As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a lovely service very helpful from this guy who speaks great english . All the staff were so friendly always- smiling at you . The beds are really comfy and the rooms as a whole are really clean in which you also have the option of a towel . Easy to socialise with a nice kitchen and a lovely roof terrace looking over Iquitos. Only downside was the Wifi but i think that is more of an Iquitos issue than the hostel itself. I booked my tour through the hostel he later out which ones were best . Really nice ! p.s location is ideal…on the doorstop is a big food market and 5 minutes away is the biggest supermarket in iquitos.
