Get caught up in Jaco’s anything-goes lifestyle! Selina Jaco stands out for its connectivity and sense of community. Whether you’re surfing, hanging by our beachfront pool, watching a movie in the cinema room, getting some last minute work done in the CoWork or just playing beach volleyball by the sunset, you won’t want to be anywhere else. You will meet amazing people from Costa Rica, and all over the world. Share a beer, a wave or a great conversation by the bonfire.
This was my first time traveling solo and staying at a hostel so I was pretty nervous but the staff was very nice from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. It was raining quite badly when I arrived but that didn't stop me from enjoying my time there. They offer a totally unique experience in cylinder rooms and I cannot wait to go back!

Room2Board is a newly built boutique hostel and surf school located on the Central Pacific Coast in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica. Its eco-friendly design provides adventure travelers, surfers, and backpackers a clean, safe and affordable place to stay. Room2Board was designed to have the social atmosphere and affordability of a traditional hostel and surf camp along with the amenities and style of a boutique hotel. From the moment you check-in you will feel apart of our global family. Please note we have a 2 day minimum on the weekends and a 2 day minimum over Semana Santa, March 27- April 5th and Christmas.
Room2Board is a class act beachfront hostel that has claimed its own spot in Jaco. Away from the business of the main strip, Room2Board offers comfortable shared or private rooms with a view in front of a pumping surf break. The bathrooms include showers; additionally, there are common cooking areas, outdoor showers, a beautiful pool, restaurant and bar. For remote workers the co-working space is bar-none. You can stash your stuff in a locker to keep it safe, rent a board from the surf shop if you need one, take a lesson, book a tour, you name it. The prices are competitive and a real deal for what you get. If you are a budget traveler, stay in a shared room for under $20. If price isn't an object, stay more luxuriously in a private room. The owner Brian takes pride in his masterpiece accommodation and his friendly staff hails from all over the world. You will be content to just hang in the bar/restaurant area all day long or relaxing in the state of the art pool. Hands down one of the best places to stay in Jaco. As an experienced hosteler, I can confidently say that Room2Board's value can not be beat.

Featuring bright, tropical-style décor and an outdoor swimming pool, Hotel Buddha House is located in Jaco City Centre and offers guests lush gardens and a shared terrace. Guests at Hotel Buddha House will find a wide range of restaurants within 100 metres of the property, including many offering international cuisine. This trendy area also offers bars and nightlife. The beach is just 100 metres from the property, and the on-site tour desk can help guests arrange outdoor activities like hiking and nature outings. Juan Santamaria Airport is a 1.5-hour drive away.
Thanks a lot Marisela for helping us organizing our trip to Montezuma. Was such a pleasure, we absolutely recommend the Buddha hostel - very very nice service, also the location is pretty good. Cafes, stores, restaurants and beach are next to the hostel. Very beautiful place. :-) Muchas gracias, tres chicas de Alemania

Hostel Hacienda Garcia is an eco-friendly hostel located in Jaco, Puntarenas. You will quickly realize that almost all our furniture is made of re-used industrial pallets. Our objective is to offer a place that feels like home, with a social atmosphere, clean and safe. This is what Hacienda Garcia is all about “chilling and feeling like home” The hostel is part of a 3 floor building. You will find a Mini Market open 24/7, a Pharmacy open from 9 am to 8 pm with Medical Consultation from 8 am to 6 am and 24 hour Emergency Service on the ground floor. The second and third floor of the building it is Hostel Hacienda Garcia with the Reception Office on the street leave. Many of the rooms have a beautiful mountain view. The Terrace on the top floor is a large, community area looking over the main street and the mountains, Saturday Night Fiestas on the Terrace are a lot of fun, meeting travelers from all over the world. Around the hostel you will be able to find an artisanal bakery (highly recommended), Side Street Sandwich Bar + Bistro with a variety of tasty sandwiches. Closer to the city center is located a mall with a bank, supermarket, American fast food chains, pharmacy and a cinema. In the city center more restaurants, bars and nightclubs. And finally Hacienda Garcia offers Wifi, towels, fans, lockers, swimming pool access ( Jaco Blu Beach Club), breakfast, coffee (all included with your reservation !!) We work to create a global family atmosphere and a peaceful environment
I have stayed at this place a few times when visiting Jaco. It is a block from the beach and the included breakfast and entrance to Jaco Blu (a swimming pool bar near by) is a definite plus. The rooms are basic, but nice enough. The biggest negative is the street noise. Ask for an inside room or download a white noise app! If you are looking for a party hostel, this is not it. Mostly couples, small groups of friends or small families.

Our hotel is located right on the beautiful beach of Playa Hermosa, Puntarenas! Right out in front of our hotel is one of the most consistent surf breaks in the country. On our property, we have a second-story, beachfront yoga studio, which is open for guests to use at any time of day or night. We also have a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with plenty of sushi, ceviche, and typical Costa Rican dish options. All of our rooms have A/C, private bathrooms, and hot water. Located about 15 minutes from the busy city of Jaco, Playa Hermosa offers an authentic Costa Rican experience!
This was our second stay at Las Olas and we returned because of the convenient location and super friendly vibe. That was still the case; the rooms are very comfortable and staff is great. The beach and restaurant can be busy-but that was expected-we stayed to watch the lunar eclipse and almost had a magical evening. Unfortunately the lock on our room was difficult to use and whole we were done at the beach so one walked in off the street and entered our room and made off with a bag of personal items including cellphones and a wallet. This was partly our fault and the staff helped report the incident to the police and had video surveillance-but I am mentioning it so that guests realize that crime can happen anywhere-even in this hippy little beach town. Don’t be too trusting.

Nice comfortable and friendly guest house whith shared kitchen equiped, tv and read room....Arrounded trees and green zone...Peacefully zone near the down town, 1 km and 200 mts to the beach
They staff was very nice & helpful. They are a very close walk to the beach, less then 5 minutes & close to town. The breakfast was delicious, was very social and it was great meeting other guests. The back yard was beautiful and very relaxing. I had a nice nap in a Hammock in the beautiful backyard. The guests ranged in ages from 57 to 23. I would not hesitate to go back. There is a bus stop very close that will take you to the San Jose airport. Very convenient and easy way to get to the airport.

This is one of most welcoming hostels with its owner Maxi, that makes you feel like home right after your arrival. When needed he can pick you up from Jaco (Hako) or the bus stop, so you can save some colones otherwise spent on taxi. The hostel is in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood so you can feel really safe here and without buzzy city noise. Still, you are close to the city - 10 min drive to the centre. Bonus: here is a free parking space for your own or rented car. Rooms are nice and clean, with Air Conditioning. Available private rooms and also bunk-beds shared with other solo travellers. Feels like home while watching some movies in the living room together with other hostel guests between swimming in the pool and sunbathing. The kitchen provides all that's necessary to cook your own meal, but 15min walking distance there is Playa Hermosa that has some really good restaurants. Closest shop for most necessary things is only 60m away from the hostel. For those who like to explore surroundings, it's possible to do some trekking in the neighbourhood and find perfect viewpoints to see the Ocean and jungle from the top, especially great for sunsets, just be ready to climb quite a steep road. In the breakfast, you can choose between pancakes or toast that is freshly made for you as soon as you wake up. During the week it's perfect for groups of friends and/or families that want just to chill, relax, have some BBQ, but during Fridays and Saturdays they open a bar, so you can have a backyard party together with other guests that fast become your best friends because of the chill atmosphere. You can be sure that you will get the best from your stay.

A completely new way to stay, explore and work. Whether you're a digital nomad, an adventurous backpacker, a surfer seeking paradise, or you're on a family vacation, you've come to the right place. In Isa's Hostel you will find: walks and sunsets on the beach, a vibrant city, incredible views from the viewpoints of the city, come create memories and enjoy.
The hostel had the potential but was not utilising it. The entrance was uninviting and closed most of the time. The receptionist was rather useless giving me the wrong directions a couple of times (however it must be said that the cleaner was useful). The kitchen had no utensils to cook with and the pans were struggling, there still remained a rice cooker which was broken. There were dorms unused when our dorm was full of 8 people and you could not walk on the floor without a struggle due to there being no space with people's bags. In the morning I tripped over and hurt myself when it was dark as there was no floor space. The toilet & shower is shared between 16 people and they are not separate so you may be left waiting for a long time and often a queue formed. The WiFi was so poor I gave up on it and went to the Selina down the beach and used there's at the bar. The beds however are comfy.

朝食付きなのに他にない格安の価格設定である(ベッドやシャワールームの古さは気になる人は気になるレベル)が、唯一の欠点として長距離バスターミナルからかなり遠く、ハコの街を横断して30分以上の歩く距離。
