Known for transforming spaces, Generator Madrid is no different. This former parking lot & gas station has been brilliantly converted into a bar-cafe, restaurant, a spacious rooftop bar with jacuzzis and an atrium. Additional to the chill-out spaces for both guests and locals to explore, Generator Madrid’s facilities include a 24-hour reception, basement parking, private lockers and free Wi-Fi. -- Please note that due to the global pandemic, some venues, amenities, and services may have been eliminated or scaled down for the safety of our guests and staff. Please contact the hotel should you have any questions or concerns.
Basically okay. The rooftop saved the experience. That was supercool. Bud improve the staff with language and add more furnitures to the rooms. But the staff was really friendly and flexible. Main values are location and rooftop.

I have stayed in many hostels before but at TOC it was the first time I stayed in a shared room ( female only). I was a bit worried as I didn't know what to expect but it turned out great. The hostel is awesome, has friendly staff and is the most modern hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were quite nicely soundproofed as you couldn't hear much from the hallways as it is usual for other hostels. In my 6 bed female room, we had 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 showers - it was enough. :) I will be coming back, definitely!

The location was ace and although Madrid is massive it's close-ish to the places I wanted to visit. The hostel is self is very popular and it's clear to see why, it's clean , Lots of community rooms, rooftop bar which wasn't open when I needed a cold bevy . Reasonable space under bed to put luggage. They also offer tours and bike rides Don't get tricked on Hostelworld or Agoda saying there is a spa, don't think that it's free as it isn't its 10 euros for a hour and you have to pre book. The room it's self was smart enough and I went in with 7 other clampetts. You do get your own privacy as you have your own curtain you draw across which is good because at night your left sweating like a lizard so have to resort in going commando . I saw that there was air conditioning but it didn't feel as if it was on so you wake up with a sun tan and dry mouth. The perfect way to get over the heat was to dive in the showers which at the time of using didnt want to get hot. You get free Wi-Fi, cooking falcilities, fridges (downstairs) and I heard that if you get up early enough you get free churros. Good hostel and it's constantly well kept by the cleaners. Would deffo stay again as i felt safe in this hostel

The only thing I can say that was good is the location. There was no warning that the Hostel would be under construction, which caused an unbearable noise. The kitchen was under construction. The drain in my bathroom was clogged, spurting water out (to the room, inclusive) and was clogged during the entire stay. Even though I reported it several times. The staff is not friendly at all. And very regular cleaning.

Hostal Santo Domingo, located in Madrid's Maravillas district, was first opened in 1962. Over the past 50 years it has provided a roof for thousands of visitors. In 2007 refurbishments were completed, transforming this pleasant Hostal into a comfortable and modern place to stay. All rooms have different decoration styles and their own bathroom, hairdryer, t.v. and telephone. Central heating, air conditioning, Wi-Free and cromotherapy are also provided.
I had to wait 30 min in the street in the middle of the night, I rang the bell called the reception and nothing. Luckily a guest let me in, and there was NOBODY in the reception, no one working here. I took 20 more for someone to arrive. Santo Domingo Hostal if you don’t have a 24 hours reception don’t say that you do, so guest don’t expect to check in at any time. On TOP of that the Hotel is Super dirty! The only positive thing is it’s location

This is more hotel than hostel There are no cooking facilities or places for food storage. Food is prohibited in the rooms. The staff are efficient but not very friendly. On the plus side it is immaculately clean, comfortable and spacious. But our reason for choosing a hostel is because you can make a snack and meet people. There is a rooftop bar which would be lovely in warmer weather and there is a restaurant area where breakfast is served.

Me and 9 friends stayed here for a brief holiday in Madrid, 8 in one bedroom 2 in another. Having a private room was super fun and everything felt safe. We went on a tour on our first day there with Erika who was a great personality and had great food and activity recommendations (including discounts) and an engaging tour. The location was super central and a short walk from everything we wanted to do including clubbing, €1 tapas, bars, the palace etc… we had so much fun and I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it highly

The only positive, that is in the city. whoever wants to sleep, don't choose it, paper-thin walls, every movement can be heard in the hallway and in the rooms. Poor breakfast we changed rooms twice, unsuccessfully, we listened to the use of water all over the house in the first room, we got a bed in the other room where we couldn't move, it made such sounds. Terrible place!

Mola hostel was an ideal choice for my stay in Madrid. It was centrally located, clean, and had a helpful and multi-lingual staff. The rooms were clean and secure and weren't too loud at night. The continental breakfast was convenient, reasonably priced and tasty. The Hostel's resources were great and my friends and I ended up going on a fantastic free walking tour of the city via Mola hostel. I highly recommend for those looking for a fun and clean place to stay in the heart of Madrid.

Great location on a pedestrianized street near the Gran Via metro station with east connections to bus snd train stations. Our twin room was small but clean and nicely equipped. We faced the inner courtyard so it was pretty quiet. We really appreciated the little fridge, microwave and kettle. Beds were comfy. Great lighting. Wifi was perfect. We had some issues with our AC going off in the middle of the night but it got fixed. Our only suggestion is for staff to show guests how to use A/C and fan/light when you arrive. We thought the A/C wasn’t working the first night but turned they hadn’t given us the remote. We were trying to use the remote for the fan but turns out we were not supposed to use…just use the switches. As mentioned in previous comments, staff don’t have a lot of English so be prepared to use Google translate unless you speak Spanish.
