Praktisch gelegen ubd bequem
Reviewed By pbohniDie Lage ist praktisch direkt neben der Autobahn. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war gut und das Bett bequem. Das Auto konnte direkt vor dem Motel parkiert werden. Die Reception (24h) ist direkt beim Parkplatz und bewacht auch die Fahrzeuge. Die Personen an der Rezeption sprachen englisch.

The Hotel Mayer*** Superior is found ont he Northen coast of lake Balaton in Alsóörs, 12 kms from Veszprém, not far from Bakony Hills, which has healthy climate and picturesque countryside. The access to Alsóörs and the hotel is perfect on otorway M7 and route 8 and 71. The railway and coach network are also optimal to reach the place. Our hotel is 800 meter from the lake in calm environment. It has got 18 double rooms with extra beds and 2 apartmans. The size of rooms is big enough to accomodate 4 people (2 adults + 2 children) comfortably. All the rooms are equipped with modern bathrooms, minibar, TV and air-conditioning. In the park round the hotel you can foind sunbathing terrace, garden-pool for adults and for children. Three times a week we invite our guests for grill and barbecue parties at our open-air furnace. In the poolbar of our hotel you can find all kind of drinks, which you can choose.Our family-type Hotel Mayer*** Superior is waiting for you all over the year.

Reviewed By Petr_Dohnalwe chose the mayer hotel for our bike trip at the lake. the hotel is in a quiet area near the lake. This is a beautiful family hotel. very nice owners. the rooms are clean, well equipped and cozy. The hotel has a beautiful indoor terrace with a bar, a heated pool and a beautiful sauna. I warmly recommend. we will definitely be back here

Reviewed By DanielCochranUnsafe environment! Once we’d paid we were led upstairs where a really sketchy man was paralytic on the kitchen floor, his two friends arguing loudly nearby. The receptionist did nothing. Later the same guy tried twice to break into the shower while people from our group were inside, despite being warned, because there was no lock. Thankfully it was the men in our party who were in both times, not the women, as he was clearly trying to get a look at them (we stationed people outside to stop him, he still tried). When we told the receptionist she did nothing, just saying that the group had been there for a week being really noisy. We left soon after. No refund given because - even though we paid in cash - the refund has to come through the app we booked on. If a hostel doesn’t care about the safety and security of its guests it shouldn’t be allowed to operate. Avoid like the plague. Unsafe and sketchy as hell.

We are 165 km from Budapest. A unique atmosphere, right beside the biggest lake in Europe - Balaton. Beautiful green areas, big garden, outdoor cookings, rent-a-bike, wifi, beach, bar, parties , games and more...
Everyone was very nice
Reviewed By pergervivien9Everyone was very nice. We stopped for one night while doing the bike tour around Balaton. It was perfect to shower and sleep. Coffee is amazing!!! Maybe it’s a bit pricey, but in the neighborhood it was the most wallet friendly.

The place opened quite recently and Bence, the owner definitely managed to create something unique which stands out from the typical hungarian accommodation types. They have an amazing Gin, Rum And Whisky selection just in case you are tired of the wine tasting tours. It’s located few minutes walks from the vineyards. Rooms are simple but modern and clean! I definitely recommend it for your next stay in Badacsonytomaj.

Really good local restaurant

This small restaurant offers more than 120 local wines (we have tried only two but they were great) and Hungarian and international cuisine. For a very first time I had an opportunity of tasting typical Hunagrian ginger soup based on recipe from the 16th century. I had also venison than was great. There was no room for desert, the portions were really huge. Very nice waitress and chef! Thank you!

Reviewed By Karina159Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Greenhouse. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der Ausblick direkt aufs Grün war toll. Frühstück war auch gut und ausreichend. Das Personal war zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Der Golfplatz vor der Tür ist nicht überfüllt und gut zu spielen. Immer wieder einen Besuch wert!

It has laundry room,canteen,kitchen / kitchen stuffs and etc. In the upstairs there is a terrace that you can watch the railway and in the downstairs there is a pretty bar that you can do karaoke, play bowling and find famous Soproni beers! :)

room in the basement
Reviewed By Aleksandra PA good location. And that's all. The room is big but basic and ugly. The rooms are below ground level, the photo shows a whole building but the hostel is in the basement, the hosts live upstairs. There is a dingy shared bathroom, even shared double shower, not even a partition wall, ugly towels, We pay 29 euro which is too expensive for what you get. The parking is in the street.
