Simabo’s Hostel offers 9 rooms which are simply furnished but have everything you need for a relaxing stay. There are 3 large shared bathrooms and some rooms have a private bathroom and/or balcony. We do not have a boiler for hot showers but after a warm Cape Verdian day the water temperature is just about right! A fully equipped communal kitchen is at your disposal as well as a large communal living room. We also offer vegan breakfasts and meals which you can order separately. The hostel is 300m from the beach and main square, 200m from a small supermarket, and about 15mins walking distance from the ferry to Santa Antao (we also sell ferry tickets!). Last but not least: the Hostel finances our ONG Simabo, which takes care of the streets dogs and cats of the island. Final Note: The Cape Verdian government now charges a mandatory 2€ “Tourist tax” which is not included in our prices but can be paid separately.

Reviewed By marcoab81I have stayed at Simabo for 1 week. I loved every moment of my stay. The building is pretty new, all rooms are well decorated and include all the services. Some of the rooms have shared toilet, I found them always clean. Silvia and Paolo, the 2 presidents of the association are 2 marvelous persons, always smiling and good hearted. They helped me with to put on a map all the things to visit and they contributed to have an amazing experience in Sao Vicente. Also, the Simabo is shelter for cats and dogs and I enjoyed cuddling the little kittens in the morning :-) Thank you for your kindness. Forever appreciated :-)

Reviewed By WilliamD392The place it's dirty and have insect in the kitchen room, absolutely terrible, on top of that I'm not sure this place it's legal bed and breakfast, I will definitely make a research in order to understand if they have the right allowance to make business in this house, I honestly doubt that, however we will see with the local authorities in order to get to the bottom of this. If they are not legally allowed to operate as a bed and breakfast they will definitely have huge problem with local authorities

Kaza di Zaza is the property of a Dutch couple, living on Brava permanently. They rent out three basic appartments, each fit for two persons. All with private terraces, bathroom and kitchenette. Kaza Baixo, Kaza Pikinoti Kaza Bom Vista.

Reviewed By janneketwI really enjoyed my stay in Kaza Bom Vista. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the wonderful view of Faya de Aqua just from your own terras! There are plenty opportunities to walk at Brava and Villa Nova Sintra is easy to reach if you want to. Erick is very helpful to advice and arrange what is necessary. He is very happy to share his knowledge and experience of live at Brava. I had a great time at the island: people are friendly and relaxed, the island is beautiful and not overcrowded with tourists.

We are a new hostel in the center of the city of Mindelo (Cape Verde). Our accommodation offers a shared room with 6 bunk beds (12 people), 3 double rooms and a single room. All rooms have access to the living/dining room, kitchen, shared bathrooms, patio and terrace/chill out. We speak English, Portuguese, Spanish and Catalan.

Reviewed By amcardusUn sitio muy confortable para pasar unos dias en Mindelo. Muy céntrico y posibilidad de usar cocina. La terraza está muy bien! El propietario, Jordi, es muy amable y nos explicó sitios a donde ir. Una muy buena experiencia!

Reviewed By BeauthoSi l'accueil le soir de notre arrivée a été sympathique, l'hôte s'est montré moins agréable par la suite. La chambre est sommaire... On s'en accommode. La salle de bains est insalubre, pas d'aération et par conséquent, moisissures et champignons au plafond ! Terrasse occupée par des chiots qui font leurs besoins ici et là, des cailles qui dégagent des odeurs incommodantes... Bref, je vous recommande pas ce lieu.

Reviewed By élodie jTout d'abord l'accueil est inexistant, nous avons l'impression de les embêter... Les chambres sont vétustes, humidité en pied de mur et propreté moyenne. Nous avions un petit déjeuner inclus dans le prix de la chambre, cependant nous avons dû quémander chaque élément de notre petit déjeuner un par un: café, puis gâteau, puis jus, voyant qu'elles ne nous apportaient rien.... NUL!!!

Residential Moreno's is in operation since 2016. Conveniently located in Alto Fortim, within the city limits of beautiful Mindelo. A five minute walk to the lovely white sandy beahc Praia de Laginha. Hotel has 3 triple, one single and 2 suits and also service breakfast for ECV 300$00 per person.
Brandveiligheid zonder oplossing
Reviewed By RBeukerIn één van de duurdere hotels van Sao Vicente werd ons een kamer toebedeeld. Echter, er bleek bij eventuele brand geen andere vluchtroute voorhanden te zijn dan het algemene trappenhuis. Bij navraag werd ons verteld dat hier ’nooit brand was’. Dat een amateuristisch aangelegd loopplankje uitkomst moest bieden, was voor ons onacceptabel (zie foto). Een alternatief werd in eerste instantie niet geboden. Of we terug wilden komen als de chef er was. Die bleek zelfs nog klant onvriendelijker te zijn. Pas toen wij ons geld terugeisten om een ander hotel te boeken, kwam men met een oplossing. Wel mét een flinke bijbetaling, maar er was dus ineens toch wel een andere kamer beschikbaar te zijn. Onacceptabel! Verder een prima hotel met goede voorzieningen, maar deze schandalige ontvangst kunnen we alleen maar met een slechte review beoordelen.
