The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Established in 1965, Ross Nye Stables is the longest-established riding school to offer riding in Central London. Horses and riding have been synonymous with Hyde Park since the reign of Henry VIII, when it was used as a hunting ground for the Tudor Court! We offer both 'one off', memorable, bucket list hacks around the historic Hyde Park - including the famous Rotten Row! As well as, regular riding lessons for people of all experience levels and ages above 6 years.
My daughter and I both ride at home, and love to book horse experiences when traveling. I researched Ross Nye Stables here on TA before booking and my fellow reviewers did not steer me wrong. Dagmara and Louis were our guides on our private ride where we rode Clifton and Albus. They're located very close to Hyde Park, so it's only a short walk through the street before you reach the park. At home we would never ride in the streets, however, the drivers and people were so respectful of the horses and riders that I never felt unsafe. We got to see one of the queen's carriages in the park as well as the Royal guards with their horses in the park and another set heading to Buckingham palace. We had a great time and my daughter said her favorite part of our entire trip was cantering down Rotton row. No worries if you don't have boots, they can outfit you. We would book again!

We offer riding for all levels, semi-private riding for two riders + or private one to one tuition. We cater for visitors who want to improve their horse riding ability as well as for regular riders who want to learn from the beginning, or for those who are coming back to the sport to re-learn their skills and regain their fitness levels. We also offer one-off rides for visitors who want to experience beautiful Hyde Park from the back of a horse. Our dedicated team will escort you around Hyde Park for lesson-rides and for the most scenic of rides in Central London.
There are few London experiences more joyous than trotting round Hyde Park on a horse from the Hyde Park Stables in the company of Alex and Sophie, two of their excellent coaches. The stables are clearly supremely well run given how healthy, contented, well-groomed and calm the horses are. Moreover, the staff are incredibly knowledgable, well-qualified and experienced. Alex and Sophie were all that, plus fun and charming riding companions. Thank you, thank you. And have no fears over children: Chrissie the manager was very upfront - 'safety comes first'. So whether you are a visitor to London, a long-time resident or just someone looking for a unique, head-clearing experience, go no further than Hyde Park Stables. Big thanks to Mandy, Chrissie, Alex and Sophie (and Ivan the horse1) for giving me an unforgettable experience and the best Christmas present ever.

I would like to thank you for making my young son discover a true passion for pony riding and infinite love for horses. I took him to pony riding weeks this summer after he had enjoyed a birthday party at your centre and he was so enthused by your lessons he asked me to keep having classes all year round, which is what he’s doing now. I love to see how you teach him not only to walk, trot and canter but you also explain to him how to be assertive as well as caring and respectful with all the horses in the stables. My son’s class teacher, Alasdair, is especially brilliant and supportive, giving every child individual feedback and encouragement. I would definitely recommend you to everyone wishing to give their children a holistic experience of sport, empathy and responsibility. I include here a pic of my young man with the first pony he ever rode, Sam, whom he always goes to greet after his class ????

The clear round show on Friday was really well run. The lady who greeted us at the door made us feel welcome and everyone I spoke to was very friendly. The timetable was clear and everything ran on time. It was really nice that there was an instructor in the ring helping the riders out and allowing them to start again if they messed up. We will definitely be back for the next one, thank you! ????
