Famous for Bourbon Country and horse farms, civil war battlefields and beautiful natural parks, Kentucky offers a delightful mix of experiences. You might begin in Lexington, where the 1200-acre Kentucky Horse Park is a popular attraction. The university adds exciting sports, impressive art and a vibrant student/professor population to the city. Louisville is similar, where renowned Churchill Downs hosts the annual Kentucky Derby and the Belle of Louisville, the nation’s oldest steam-driven river paddlewheeler, hosts enchanting lunch and dinner cruises along the beautiful Ohio River. Next, head south to visit Mammoth Cave National Park for a day of touring the cave (the world’s longest known cave), hiking and canoeing on the Green River. Paducah, Berea, Bowling Green – so many places to explore and enjoy!

Horseback riding through Mammoth Cave National Park. Horsemans Campground with water and electric sites. 70 miles of horse trails in Mammoth Cave National park.
We had a great Outing there this weekend with our Scouts BSA Patrol. The Scouts learned a lot while earning their Horsemanship Merit Badge from Rocky and the very knowledgeable staff, and had a fun time riding on the trails in Mammoth Cave National Park. The campsite was also great and we had a good campfire. And all very safe. Very highly Recommended!

Horse riding experience designed for the Advanced* and the first time beginning rider. Learn about safety rules as well as hands on experience in brushing the horse, learn how to saddle and ride! Mount and ride the horse at a walk and trot and learn how to steer. For the brave at heart a canter or lope. Adults and children learn a bit about physiology and psychology of the horse. Did you know that the horse has two lobes in his brain; but unlike people they are not connected. This means the horse can see in front of him and behind him at the same time. Each eye is independent.

My husband and I just did the 1-hour ride around the farm with Drew, and it was wonderful! It was a bit of a ride from Lexington, but we're glad we did it! Emily and Drew were so friendly and helpful. The farm itself is beautiful, and a great setting for a horse-ride. We are both beginners, and got good instruction all along the ride. We've done horse trails in many areas, and would highly recommend this one. Friendly and knowledgeable people, beautiful ride. Also, very well-priced!
