"Torture Exhibition" - the most common methods of torture and execution during the Middle Ages.
it's a good place to be happy for our nowadays life many methods of torture are presented, still used in the 18th century, only 230 years ago those methods had the aim to save the souls of the convicted people, for even ordinary deeds, in the name of God; actually, the prosecutors of those times despised the God ultimate creation, the man five years before French Revolution, two Romanians, leaders of an important local uprising, were killed using one the methods presented there - Horea and Closca; look at the wheel and try to think what they felt

Amazing place, We went there with a group of friend, not knowing much about the revolution in Romania, and left the place feeling like we really understood the cause and the unfolding of this event. At first the museum seems a bit empty and old so we didn't expected much when we first went in, but it was a mistake. Everything is very well documented, you can really follow the beginning and the unfolding of the revolution, with objects, photos and texts. At the end you also have a 30min movie that sums up all the events. If you want to really understand the city and why it was a really important city for Romania, you must go there ! I remained interested during the whole visit. The tickets are only 1 or 2 euros and it's really worth it, I think it's a must when you go to Timisoara.

HEIMATSTUB'N Our village Museum of Heimatstub'n to Wolfsberg was founded in 2006, with the intention to preserve the tradition and way of life of the community. Here you can experience a blend of old and new, using the slogan "how we used to live - how we live in today." Our exhibition shows the modest life and the livelihood of the people of the past. The transition from old to new is marked by guesthouse "Sunshine", which was recently opened for lovers of nature. Come and stay with us. All year round you can escape from the everyday stress and simply relax your mind. Relaxation, rest, fresh air, beautiful views and the care of old traditions await you! SHOWROOM During guided tours (in German and Romanian languages) you will learn about Wolfsberg's history, the German influence, and the traditional style of living in this remote mountain town. Walk though an actual stable and barn and learn how a typical farm was managed in those days. The old tools show evidence of the heavy and exhausting work. GUESTHOUSE "SUNSHINE" Our guesthouse "Sunshine" in Wolfsberg offers accommodation (6 rooms) for rent. Choose between a Comfort room (2-bed) or a Family room (3-bed).
Our toddler was astonished by the collection of toys cars, placed right at the entrance, so it was difficult to pass further on. The visit is a must do in Valiug-Garana-Trei Ape: after the collection of small cars, you may see how the German people were leaving here more than one hundred years ago, from the bread oven up to the cellar, and from the bedroom up to the kitchen, from the 15m deep fountain up to the stable. But when you go in the back yard, this is breath taking: you will see a gorgeous view with high hills, meadows, trees and you will hear the sheeps and their bells. It is very rural, picturesque and calm. The children will find a small playground and you may find accommodation in the backyard villa. The visit of the museum is free of charge.

The Communist Consumers Museum is designed as a typical Romanian apartment from that era, with a living room, children's room, kitchen and hallways. It displays on shelves, in closets and drawers most of everything that Romanians could buy before the revolution of 1989, from toys to vinyls, TV and radio sets to bicycles, kitchen attire and much, much more. After traveling through time in the museum, one can also enjoy a nice relaxing time in the upstairs bar: Scart Loc Lejer.
This place is a cafe from which you descend into a museum where you will see a lot of household objects and toys from the past and learn something about the everyday life of people who lived during the communist era. An extremely nice girl is working at the cafe and she will explain everything about the museum. They have great home brewed beer and even better background music!
