Tétouan (Arabic: تطوان, Berber languages: ⵜⵉⵟⵟⴰⵡⵉⵏ, French: Tétouan, Spanish: Tetuán) is a city in northern Morocco. The Berber name means literally "the eyes" and figuratively "the water springs". Tétouan is one of the two major ports of Morocco on the Mediterranean Sea. It lies a few miles south of the Strait of Gibraltar, and about 60 km (40 mi) E.S.E. of Tangier. We enjoyed an absolutely amazing tour of Fes with Achraf and another guide he had arranged for to provide us with the full experience Fes had to offer. Achraf takes enormous pride in ensuring his clients have the full authentic experience each of these areas in Morocco has to offer. We enjoyed many aspect of the area but the one that really stood out for us was visiting the ceramic pottery and mosaic artwork factory to meet the people that follow time honoured traditions to design and create these still hand crafted works of art.

Fez is enthralling tradition In its heyday, Fez attracted scholars and philosophers, mathematicians and lawyers, astronomers and theologians. Craftsmen built them houses and palaces, kings endowed mosques and medersas (religious schools), and merchants offered exotic wares from the silk roads and sub-Saharan trade routes. Fes is a city whose cultural and spiritual lineage beguiles visitors. Something of the medieval remains in the world’s largest car-free urban area: donkeys cart goods down the warren of alleyways.

Achraf organized for us a private tour of Chefchaouen. As a guide he is punctual, organized and tuned into the interests of his guests. He had so much to share with us about his country and the history of its people and culture in the Chefchaouen area. He takes great pride in making the most memorable experience for his guests. When we were setting up the extended set of arrangements, he provided valuable advice and guidance on accommodations to maximize our experience.

A special tour because it is outside the general tourist circuits. We are a small family business that conducts tours for small groups and the experiences and guides we work with in Maruuecos are small format, family and without many travelers. A way to know Morocco very familiar, simple and quiet.

First of all, the views once we were inside were amazing. I booked this guide through trip advisor months in advance for our trip and it was one of the main highlights. 12 hours the night before our hike, our guide texted me saying he needed to cancel the hike. After asking if there was anything else he could do to be able to go he got back with me saying it was back on. We were also very late to our scheduled time to enter because our guide was unaware of the different route required do to recent rain. It was very stressful once we were there because they would not let us in for our guided tour because we were late. After a lot of arguing between our guide and the workers they let us in the hike on our own without a guide. This experience ended up being exactly what we wanted anyway, without the tour guide! Over all hiking the Caminito Del Ray was everything we expected and more. I think this tour was worth it just because it was a convenient way to get from Seville and back. I would say it was definitely disorganized as the pick up location changed multiple times and the hike almost being cancelled in less than 24 hours before, but at the end everything worked out. I would recommend this if you need a ride from Seville, but I would also recommend looking into taking a train and buying tickets from their website as the hike itself is about a tenth of the price of this guide.

.- The Medina (Old Town) of Tetouan is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city center is very characteristic and traditional. There are many white houses, especially low houses. Throughout the city, people practice their art, such as weavers, jewelers, leatherworkers. Street vendors often try to sell carpets to tourists. Tetouan is part of UNESCO's network of Creative Cities and has been named "City of Crafts and Folk Art" in 2017. - The archaeological museum is located in the city center, about 100 meters from the Royal Palace. The museum displays artifacts from different periods of Aboriginal, Phoenician, Roman, Jewish and Arab cultures. The museum was built in 1943. - The Museum of Modern Art is located opposite the Riad Al Ochak's garden. - The Mechouar of the Royal Palace is located just outside and at one of the entrances to the old medina. Salamo alaïkom! My name is Abir and I’m 26 years old. It has been always my dream to be a licensed tour guide and to represent my hometown Tetouan and my home land Morocco, in addition to that I knew that it would be a chance for me to meet new people and learn about new cultures from all over the world. Therefore after finishing my studies in English Literature at university I decided to study further to become a certified tour guide and the only active female tour guide in Tetouan. When you book your tour with me, I know for sure that you would not regret it as I would be very happy to show you the best places and represent my city, I will tell you about the history as I have a very good knowledge about my city’s and country’s history, teach you stuff about the Moroccan culture and even teach you some basic words in Darija. If you have any other question, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Couldn't recommend this guide more highly. We booked a 2.5 hour tour of the medina/mellah but she ended up staying with me for much, much longer. She can give you advice on things to see, places to go, and help with your bargaining in the souk. Her English is excellent and she also speaks perfect Dutch.
