Marche (Italian pronunciation: [ˈmarke]), or the Marches /ˈmɑːrtʃɪz/, is one of the twenty regions of Italy. The name of the region derives from the plural name of marca, originally referring to the medieval March of Ancona and nearby marches of Camerino and Fermo. Our tour was from a cruise ship and was fabulous. Early in the day and without crowds as you would find at Pompeii. It was a resort village, populated with only a few slaves and caretakers when hit by a pyroclastic flow that covered the town to a depth of six meters, preserving it. Wonderful mosaics, frescoes and statues. Photographers will enjoy the subjects of buildings, streets, art, and houses. Do not suggest a tripod, my DSLR with a zoom lens was all I needed. Some rooms are dark, so anticipate using a high ISO. Take shots from the rim above before walking through the tunnel to be in the village. Then you will use the wide-angle a lot.

We did the winery tour in May 2019. We had a very enjoyable morning with a very helpful and knowledgeable guide at the winery and a very pleasant and friendly guide for the whole excursion in Luca. The Offida wines are fascinating and we especially liked the varieties which we don't see in Australia, including pecorino. Had a great lunch with Luca at a country restaurant we would never have found by ourselves.

Why choose us? Because no other boat in Numana can offer the same tailor-made and authentic sailing experience, without sacrificing comforts, like cushy seats, food, music, and a freshwater shower. This is both an old-fashioned and classy choice for an unforgettable tour. Our boat can accommodate up to 6 passengers, which means that every trip will be intimate and planned according to your own desires. We will be free to look for the quietest spot to drop anchor, away from the most populated beaches. Along the way you'll be able to see how a traditional sailing boat is rigged and manoeuvred, and if you want you'll be able to try your hand at the helm. It will be my concern to make sure that you will fondly remember your time with us for years to come. It's the little things that turn a generic boat trip into an experience to treasure. It's not just what you see: it's how you experience it that matters.

Good overview of the city especially with small children. The English tour on headphones was very difficult to understand because it was read by and Italian with a strong accent. It would have been much better had it been read by an English or American person without an accent.

Come and discover an authentic land, with incredible naturalistic beauties, through the art and traditions of the place; come to Fratte Rosa, a delightful village located on the Marche hills, in an area still to be explored. Fratte Rosa has been the cradle of terracotta for centuries. Its soil, very rich in clay, allowed the flourishing of the art of forging terracotta, handed down by word of mouth from the local potters, since the Middle Ages. Even today in Fratte Rosa the production of popular ceramics continues, through the activity of the shops, custodians of a craft heritage dedicated to the "archaic forms" born in the Middle Ages for cooking and storing food. You will discover the gestures of tradition, observing the manual work of our terracotta craftsmen, observing the "unique" forms of tradition for which Fratte Rosa boasts a primacy of uniqueness.

Was there in October 2019, the owner and artist is delightful. Found my present to myself in her shop and have received it now at home. I would highly recommend a visit to Gypsea, something different and a nice way to spend a few hours in a beautiful town.
The territory around the hometown of Pantani might seem flat, from the Adriatic coast inland there seem to be no elevation meters and instead when you least expect it the hills sprout imposing, one after the other. east of Emilia Romagna and the Marches, who trained the Pirate for his deadly shots: via the bandana, his hands in the lower part of the handlebars, his gaze determined and shortly after the shot. Follow his way of telling opponents if you have the strength. Sea and mountains, different worlds, opposite. Solitude and beauty, nature and open spaces. Sea and mountains, two universes made of roads and pedals, sweat and frames, of men alone in command, of climbing and descending on two wheels. We will live the places and streets of Marco Pantani in his shining career. We will cycle on two of the climbs that have trained his legs, crossing wonderful territories in Romagna that has always been home to great champions.
