We went on a full-day tour with Ian and it was fantastic! We went zip lining in the mountains east of Cape Town, where Ian took extra pictures and videos of us, stopped at the Elgin Railway Market for lunch, went to the Cheetah Outreach center to see big cats, and ended the day at Triggerfish Brewery for a well-deserved beer. Ian was knowledgeable, punctual, and shared many funny stories. His van was spotless and clean and his driving was outstanding. We would not hesitate to book him for any of his tours - he's truly one of the best! Thanks Ian!

The place where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. It is wonderful to see this facility is finally upgraded to a proper tourism attraction. The walkways, map of Africa and the direction indicators are all welcome additions giving visitors a clear indication of where they are in relation to the rest of Africa. The walkways are also wheelchair friendly.

curioseety South Africa

South Africa’s wine industry began here back in 1685, when Governor Simon van der Stel chose the area for its grape-growing potential and named his farm Constantia. Constantia is the birthplace of the wine farming industry in South Africa. Located just 20 minutes outside of Cape Town’s city bowl, it is breathtakingly beautiful, with vineyard rows that stretch up the eastern slopes of the Constantiaberg mountainside. As you drive through this historical valley, it becomes apparent why the first Governor of the Cape, Simon van der Stel, chose this situation for his farm, Constantia. This Tour is designed for the more serious wine connoisseur and novice alike. Guests are taken on a 4x4 tour through the historic vineyard, where they will enjoy a picnic-bubbly whilst overlooking the beautiful vineyard. Francis was a charming young man who was a wonderful driver but was greatly lacking as a guide. He didn't know even the most basic information about Cape Town or the sights he drove us to. There were 8 of us, each paying $140 ($1120). For that kind of money I feel Viator should insure that a knowledgeable guide is provided.
