Are there more flamingos than people on Bonaire? It's possible, and it's part of this unspoiled island's appeal. Bring your binoculars and your scuba gear to make the most of Bonaire's natural charms: more than 200 different species of birds live here, and the island itself draws divers from around the world to its reef-lined coast, a National Maritime Park.

The mangrove forest of Lac Bay is one of the best preserved mangrove forests in the Caribbean. For generations this lush, green environment has served as a home and incubator to native fish, baby rays, lobster and seahorses. The bushy and beautiful trees and their deep, webbed roots, protect Bonaire from extreme weather conditions. In fact, it’s rumored that they’re strong enough to withstand the wind and water to the point of slowing a tsunami! The mangroves are a series of narrow channels that are covered by natural canopies made by the bending of the mangrove trees that house birds, fish and clean the water. For centuries fisherman and tourists have been visiting, kayaking and exploring this area of rich waters. Historically, they also provided means to make household items and played an important role in the fishing community, which you will learn about on this tour. While driving south to the Mangroves, your guide will inform you about the history and sites of Bonaire.

This tour is unique because this is a tour for small groups and very personal to our guests. You will be with a local and you will be getting a local experience including drinks and a small local snack. This tour is not an ordinary tour like the other tours you’ll find or buy on your ship with big groups of people all together with no local experience and no waiting in line in the sun to start your tour. This tour is not just a tour to show you around, but you will be very personal with your guide and experience the local culture and history. In the meantime, that we will be driving, we will be also talking about the history of the Island, culture, Economic and food. You will be able to customize this tour as you want. At the end of the tour you will get a very nice free souvenir from us and it’s a local product you will be using almost every single day in your life. You will like it. NOTE!! We Guarantee you are back at your ship 1 hours before the ship departure time.

Who would have thought Bonaire has so many caves the explore! We visited 3 caves and each of them was unique. We even snorkeled in one of the caves! How amazing is that! Our guide Craig was very relaxed and friendly and taught us how to use a rope climbing up and down one of the caves (never done that before and it was awesome). Great experience! Highly recommend this tour!

The tuk-tuks are 3-wheeled scooters which seat 4 adults. They are the eye-catchers of our fleet and we lost count of the number of people who wanted to have their picture taken while sitting in the tuk. Please bear in mind that the tuk-tuks may be not the right choice for you if you are very tall, over 200 lbs (100 kg) or if you have knee- or hip problems, as you will be sitting with your knee above your hip. In such a case we advise to book one of our big tuks. Our tuks are electric, emission-free and quiet! You will enjoy the natural airco of Bonaire, the prevailing Northeastern tradewind, as the tuks are open-air. As a bonus, you can take beautiful pictures right from your seat without that annoying reflection of windows. Join us for the best tour you have ever had!
Inclusions: Coca Cola, Sprite, Fanta, We encourage our guests to bring their own reusable bottle, which we will fill with delicious ice-cold Bonairean tap water., Beer

Our families (ranging from age 2 to 75) enjoyed a tour of the southern part of the island - our tour guide was knowledgeable, and we had plenty of stops to stretch our legs and take photos of the gorgeous scenery. I preferred a guided tour over renting our own, since we wouldn't have had any idea about what we were looking at or the history of some of the stops. As many others commented, the donkey sanctuary sounds like an odd place to stop, but it truly was the highlight of the tour - the kids loved it and we all had a good laugh about the donkeys trying to get into our tour guide's purse. It was a really cool experience.

Rincon Village is the oldest village on Bonaire. Additionally, it is the oldest in continual existence within the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Originally settled by the Spanish in the early 1500’s, Rincon was strategically nestled within a valley to ward off impending danger from pirates and other threats. Slaves were brought to Bonaire and worked tending crops and in the salt pans. Slaves lived in Rincon and walked to the salt pans in the south to work, and stayed there for the work week. They returned to Rincon to gather supplies at Mangazina di Rei (King’s store house), and family visits before heading back to the salt pans. In Rincon we will be visiting the Magazine di Rei (King's store house) and then the Kadushi distillery (where you will be able to taste the local cactus liquor made on Bonaire. After visiting Kadushi we will be stopping at Local Restaurant called Posada. Here will be our last stop and you can enjoy a local food made by local people living on the Island.
