The city is a vibrant business district and rising centre of education, information technology and scientific industries. Divided in two - the old city and the new city; The city offers different moods right from the hustle-bustle of C.G. Road in the heart of Ahmedabad to the quite retreat of of the Sabarmati Ashram. Ahmedabad enjoys a thriving cultural tradition, being the centre of Gujarati cultural activities and diverse traditions of different ethnic and religious communities. This is one of the best tours I have been on. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of India and of Gandhi. He gave us a profound education on the political history and Gandhi’s role in that history. The Ashram was a great representation of all that Gandhi did to try and change people’s minds about utilizing non-violence in every aspect of ones life. It was a wonderful tour that I will always remember.

While Gandhiji wanted to experiment values of simple living, he shifted his home from Kochrab to this humble place on the banks of river Sabarmati, which was right in the middle of Sabarmati Jail and Crematorium, the two places where most of the satyagrahis ended up. Sabarmati Ashram served as the power center to strategize the freedom struggle and remained home to Bapu till 1930, when Bapu began Salt Satyagrah and pledged never to return to this place until India achieved total independence and he never did. This place draws thousands of visitors every year, not only to peek into his life and his values, but also to introspect. Lets take a walk and listen to the intriguing tales from the life of Mahatma.

We booked this tour to experience the "real" Ahmedabad, and man, it delivered. Our guide Nayan was very well informed, showed us around to different hard-to-find spots around the city and was very flexible, adding a well worth detour to the walk when he noticed our interest in a specific story he was telling. On every of our questions, there was a satisfactory answer. He also felt a bit like our personal guardian, showing us how to safely cross streets, looking for solutions with people at the mosques so I could enter (stupidly wearing shorts that day) and checking if cafés were billing us properly. Speaking of the café, it's well worth following Nayan's suggestions here. The quality is high, the price very low. Ask him about the local food market too if you don't have clear dinner plans after the tour, which was also a great experience for us. To summarise, if not clear already, I strongly recommend this tour.
Ahmedabad is an important commercial hub of the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the sixth largest Indian city with about 6.5 million people calling the city their home. The city goes back to the 11th century. A walk through its old quarter will get you close to the architecture, local art, religious buildings and the city’s specific culture and traditions. Ahmedabad has some of the finest Indo-Islamic monuments and exquisite Hindu and Jain temples. You will also see the city’s carved wooden houses - unique in their architectural tradition.

Hi Sharma ji, I had planned this trip to make my first marriage anniversary memorable. Have made all bookings and waiting from more than 2 months. Because of drastic increase in covid cases in Delhi during divali and formers protest I was in big tension and in confusion whether to travell or not. It was at high risk and not sure about anything till the last minute. But starting from when I book the cab to last hour of our onboard to trip you made it flawless without small error. We were safe And didn’t face single issue throughout the trip. Our driver Dharmendra Sharma was very cool and Happy person. He took care of us a lot and he was very friendly and gave many suggestions while visiting monuments. His driving is awesome. I have reached Delhi Airport back with so much of Satisfaction and Happiness. Thank you so much for your wonderful service I will cherish this forever. Keep up the good work and will refer my many friends here. I am taking many memories from here!! And a big Thanks you!!!

Although there are many rozas across Gujarat, the roza at Sarkhej is the most revered. Sarkhej was once a prominent center of Sufi culture and home to Sufi Saint Shaikh Ahmed Ganj Baksh and It was based on his suggestion, King Ahmed Shah decided to establish the city of Ahmedabad on the banks of river Sabarmati, few miles away from city of Sarkhej. Like many monuments built during that period, the complexes at Sarkhej exhibits a fusion of Islamic, Hindu and Jain features to form a composite “Indo-Saracenic” architectural style and has been famously dubbed “Ahmed¬abad’s Acropolis” by architect Le Corbusier. Lets take a walk across the corridors of Sarkhej and relive the period when the concept of Ahmedabad as a city was taking birth.

My driver picked me up at my hotel, took me to the museums of my choice, and also took me to a very good restaurant for lunch. Navigating Delhi is tricky. He cut through the chaos beautifully, and the National Museum of Delhi is not to be missed.
The city was founded in 1411 to serve as the capital of the Sultanate of Gujarat, by its namesake, Sultan Ahmed Shah. The City established itself as the home of a booming textile industry, which earned the nickname "The Manchester of India.” Ahmedabad, in western India, is the largest city in the state of Gujarat. The architecture and design of the new town of Ahmedabad, a walled town situated on the river Sabarmati, was a continuation of Hindu traditions by other means. A French traveler, Taverniere, visiting the town in the 18th Century had described it as ''the headquarters of manufacturing, the greatest city in India, nothing inferior to Venice for rich silks and gold stuffs curiously wrought with birds and flowers.''

Ahmedabad is the first Indian city to be inscribed to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to the presence of numerous age-old complexes and centuries-old temples and monuments. Hutheesing Jain Temple is one amongst these historical complexes which add on to the beauty of Ahmedabad. Surrounded by some of the busiest markets of Ahmedabad and their sea of noise sits this quiet island of peace and tranquility. This landmark Jain temple has breath taking architecture with the marble structure and pillars engraved with exquisite carvings. Located in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Hutheesing Jain Temple was constructed in 1848. When one views the temple and the beautiful idols within, one learns not just about the religion or spirituality but a wider angle view of the Jains and their contribution made to the development of the city. • Parking space is available. • Avoid wearing shorts.
