Everything at March Gallery has been created or designed by a professional artist living and working in Vietnam. Currently we represent 4 local and 4 international artists plus the work of founder, Bridget March. We have original paintings, etchings, woodcuts, linocuts, silk screen prints and drawings. There are new collections of modern jewellery and art pieces, ethnic textiles and ethnic sculptures too. Prices range from $1 (art postcards) to $2500 (large acrylic paintings on canvas). In addition, we curate the 'artspace' at the Anantara Resort Hoi An where we host special exhibitions between October and April. March Gallery is your local, provincial gallery in the heart of Vietnam. We look forward to meeting you
There is so much mass produced nonsense that passes for art in Hoi An that it was great to find a gallery that showcases the work of serious Vietnamese artists and craftspeople. Some lovely stuff here in a variety of media. Great just to browse and enjoy, but we were so impressed by one particular artist that we just had to buy. Prices were very reasonable. Lovely, helpful staff and the owner, Bridget, is an extremely talented artist in her own right. Well worth a visit.

Enjoy a cruise on the Dragon Boat to go upstream the Perfume River and discover the surroundings of the city. When you will arrive at the different piers, you will go to discover the emperors' tombs and their secondary houses, without being carried by servants and followed by a procession, but in a more modern way; by car, by motorbike or by bicycle.

This was the focal point of the Viet Minh victory over the French in 1954. It's a really well-maintained location with lots of old trenches and bunkers and even some barbed wire (not original, of course). You have to climb to the top of the hill to see an ex-US tank that the US provided to France...France then disassembled the tanks and flew them in and reassembled them. There's also the massive crater the Vietnamese created when they tunneled under the French position and detonated nearly 1000 kg. Continue out the exit and there is a coffee shop where the French Prime Minister enjoyed a coffee.

This place was built between 1805 and 1812 under King Gia Long and is over 2 centuries old. It resembles an old stone fortress and has steps leading to the top where one can get a good view of the city. There are old cannon sitting at the base of the place at grand level.
We went here to look a the flag tower and didn’t realise there was a whole museum attached but we were pleasantly surprised. There are so many exhibits to look at including a few fighter jets and a chinook which were really interesting. They have created a brilliant display made up of wreckages of American and french planes that had been downed during conflicts. There is so much information and the museum is really well laid out. It’s really worth a visit and you could spend hours here. There is also then the flag tower which you can climb the base of which gives an awesome view of the exhibits and the citadel.
