Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.
This a beautiful area with lots of bars and shop , we went on a boat ride which was lovely Excellent Christmas markets

This square is super charming indeed. Though it’s located inside the city center and around it there’s traffic, shopping streets, it’s really quiet and beautiful. There is a tree in the middle and some benches to rest on while contemplating the beauty of the buildings. It is definitely a must visit.

The Gendarm Path is a nature path that runs through a picturesque landscape for 74 km from Padborg to Hoeruphav. It is named after the former guards that patrolled the border between Denmark and Germany
We were a couple walking parts of the path from Padborg to Sønderborg in four days, and it is truly recommendable. The nature and the trail is varied. It is not difficult to walk the trail and there a quite a lot of places to rest. It is a good idea to bring water and maybe some snacks for the trip. Along the path there are camp and shelter places (which we did not use) and good places to sleep.

Take a stroll through Møllestien while you are going from ARoS to Åen or the Latin quarter anyway. Cozy with a great atmosphere cobbled stones and old, old houses.
