A popular route starting from 5th station. Its one of the steeper climb for the mt. Fuji, but got many resting spot and little hostel for resupply. In general for a fit individual to ascending, this route is a great walk of 5-6 hours straight to the top. But since there are many hostel to rest along the way, you mjght want to booked a spot to rest for an early hike for the next day of Sunrise (Goraikou in japanese) But on the other hand on the way day, its a zigzag route to climb back, its a long route with loose rock, i'vs found it very bad for my knees, so brings protection or try to do a moonwalk down, no jokes it feels much better. In general - not too hard of a hike - be there early to climb up so you got more time to take it easy - bring reasonable amount of water and snack but dont worry about resupplies - bring head tourch if you up for an early sunrise - book a spot for your night rest, so no need to walk up and down to find a resting spot

Not a far walk (15 mins) from the last stop of the Red bus. Well worth it if you are lucky with weather!
