The hike along this 2.5-mile trail is a challenge, from an elevation of 3,008 feet to the top of Mt. Jefferson at 5,715 feet.
This trail was a blast. Lots of rock scrambling, with excellent hand and footholds. Highly recommended!

This is quite a challenging hike especially going up the smooth rocky surfaces uphill. The view at the top however is well worth it. Amazing 360 degree view of other mountaintops and early fall foliage (we went on 9/16). Downhill path is easy but could be a little better marked especially in the rocky areas (look for the cairns). Overall one of the best hikes I have done!

Just a great moderate hike. Go up Percival first and do the caves. Tight squeeze! Then take the Ridge to Morgan. Trails are well maintained. Parking is a challenge on weekends. Do get an early start and pack sturdy shoes. Great day!

This is an Excellent Hiking trail that ends at a Watefall. Surprised that TA does NOT feature it. The trailhead is at Coppermine Road, just off Hwy 18. Trail starts out among birch trees (beautiful in fall). After about half a mile(?), you can hear the brook/river from the water fall all the way along, as you hike the trail. At the end of the trail, is a 'shelter'(a log cabin) & a beautiful falls!

The trail was a great way to enjoy New Hampshire foliage and to see some truly beautiful scenery. While the trail is generally flat, care is needed when crossing over the rails (which happens a lot). As was noted by other posters, you can easily get a tire stuck between the rail and the slats and lose control of the bike. Best to slow down when crossing and ensure that the tires are mostly perpendicular to the track so that they don't get stuck. Wouldn't recommend a road bike when riding as the tires will be too thin. There are also several spots where you're riding BETWEEN the rails (on dirt/stone dust) and there isn't much room to accommodate oncoming traffic. It is safer for to yield to an oncoming party so that you don't have an accident. There actually should be a rule in place to determine who has the right of way (i.e., east bound traffic). Still fantastic scenery and a very pleasant ride. Would recommend a picnic at the Sanbornville terminus by the old restored railroad turntable. Plenty of parking at both ends - Wolfeboro and Sanbornville.
