Camino Real trekking & community tours provide first hand experience of the fascinating history of the Camino Real and promote sustainable tourism together with local communities. We offer daytours, community experiences and multiple day hikes and treks. About the Camino Real: Spanish conquistadores established the Camino Real in early 16th century. It was he shortest route between the Pacific and Carribbean and used to transport gold and silver from the Incan empire and mines of Cerro Rico of Potosi. The riches of the Camino Real inspired the attacks of famous pirate Francis Drake on Panama and Nombre de Dios. Today it is a fascinating nature and culture experience, unique in Central America!

We offer high-adventure tours and hikes. By far our most popular tour is the Slot Canyon Waterfall which takes about 3 hours. This is an amazing tour up into the mountains and deep into the jungle {rainforest} through several streams until we reach the waterfall entrance. Once we arrive it's a 5 minute walk down the 200 stairs to reach the waterfall. People with mobility issues are welcome as long as they are able to handle the 200 stairs. We offer walking sticks to help and also provide bottled water. This tour will be the highlight of your trip to Panama!
