Small organic family business that produces wine, olive oil and grappa. Our services are only by reservation: wine tasting, and restaurant can be booked every day , except sunday. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advantage. We are three brothers and one sister and to provide the best service to our guests we need a reservation because we can not be available in any moment of the day. We will be glad to host you . Have a nice day. Giacomo, Domitilla, Stefano and Ettore
My husband and I visited Il Cocco in 2016, as part of a 10 day trip to Italy. We had an amazing experience, and loved their wines. We recently ordered a case of their wine, as we had finished the last of the case we ordered while we were visiting, and want to support this amazing family business during a time of need. The ordering process for shipping a case was extremely easy over email and used Paypal to pay, and Giacomo was very helpful in getting everything sorted out. We can't wait until our case of wine arrives!

The renown historical Fanti winery offers guided tours of the cellar followed by a tasting of our wines and extra virgin olive oil. Our wine cellar is located in the valley of Castelnuovo dell'Abate (which lies in the south of Montalcino) in front of the medieval Abbey of Saint Antimo. Winery visits are available upon reservation in English and French.
We had a wonderful tour of the Fanti wine cellars and the wine production process. Tenuta Fanti is a great blend of old family tradition updated with modern technical wine making and is set in breathtakingly beautiful countryside. Our guide Veronica was really friendly and informative. We really enjoyed the wine tasting overlooking the spectacular abbey of Saint Antimo

Reservations are required for winery tours and tastings. Please contact us via email or the phone number above. The Etruscan celebration of life--beauty, food, and wine--is alive today on the Mate family's boutique wine estate. Twenty years ago, Ferenc and Candace Mate, author and painter, fell in love with an abandoned 13th century friary--its romantic tower, courtyard, and two private hills. Within its 28 hectares of Mediterranean woods were fragrant fields of wild herbs. They planted vineyards on Etruscan-built terraces and in seven fields of varying altitudes, expositions and subsoils. For each site, they carefully chose a grape varietal, rootstock, and clones. In marl, mineral-rich shale and tufaceous soil--all abundant in calcareous fossils of a primordial ocean bottom--vines planted to a high density, forced their roots deep through varied layers, enhancing the grapes' flavors and perfumes. The Mate's hand-made wines, from organically grown, carefully selected grapes, are internationally acclaimed.
We enjoyed our second visit to Mate as much as our first visit 4 years earlier. A beautiful vineyard with amazing views and most importantly great wine. We would highly recommend a visit when in Tuscany. Jessica was an excellent host too. Hopefully we will have the chance to return for a third time!

Annibele Parisi and his family have created something quite unique here - a vineyard in the most beautiful situation near Montalcino, where nature, art and love combine to create something very special indeed. Not only do they produce lovely wines, but the whole property is a reflection of the love for nature and art that Annibele has. You will come away infected with his enthusiasm for creativity and his love for his family.

Marco, my host, was wonderful, patient and professional and did his utmost to make me feel at home as well as protected and safe. Wines are extraordinary and the story behind the winery and winemaker is awesome.

A must for astrology buffs, traders and wine enthusiants My favourite winery ever - may I start by saying I am an astrologer and stock trader and huge astrology buff so a lot of the drawcard was to visit this winery based on the fact they used astrology to make the wine and also the Fibonacci golden ration concept (which may not be understood by most) - but i am a big believer in using What is available to us naturally to enhance what we do. I was very blown away by the way the owner Francesco designed the winery with such passion and clever techniques - it is very scenic as well as being all natural using granite principles to grow. I found the grounds very interesting with the story in how the win is made and grown and the giant spiral wine vault is incredible to visit. I visited during Covid so naturally quiet but felt very spoilt for such a private tasting. i sampled maybe 5 wines All delicious with clean organic tasting notes no nasty tannins or residual taste. The staff were so nice and kind - my friend and I took a taxi from Siena which in hindsight was not the smartest and as Covid is quiet it was not possible to take a taxi back so the staff helped us not have to sleep there although we would have liked to -they definitely went over and above. We shipped 6 bottles back to the UK and the postal service was a 10/10 with delivery nd communication. the town of Montalcino is close and you can even take a bus from Siena all the way to Montalcino in not a long tie for cheap although I do recommend a car if you visit. I recommend this winery highly just for the passion behind the concept and growing and how organic and natural and delicious the wine is with a local feeling and everyone said how much they loved working there and how lovely the owner is an everyone is so happy - nothing commercial about the winery whatsoever just passion which is very important to me.

Close your eyes – cue swelling instrumental music. Open them… and welcome to Tuscany and to LOACKER’S Tenuta Corte Pavone. Monumental wrought iron gates, a seamlessly infinite cypress-lined road, the view over the world-famous wine city of Montalcino. Talk of a Hollywood moment – simply unforgettable. Once you reach the estate, you will experience wine at its very best: an involving bouquet, a memorable mouthfeel, and breath-taking vineyards. The Corte Pavone is always open for you.

The Capanna farm, owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, is situated in the Montosoli area, to the north of Montalcino. It was founded by Giuseppe Cencioni and, helped by his sons Benito and Franco, it was one of the first farms of the modern period of Brunello. They started bottling their own wines in the 1960's and right after Brunello di Montalcino was granted DOC status in 1966.
If you are visiting Montalcino you cannot miss this place. The winery is in a wonderful spot and the wines are sublime. They also have a beautiful restaurant with incredible view and food.
